The attorneys here have a great understanding of the law & how to execute on your behalf. I recommend calling here first for any legal matters you may have. If they don't handle it, they'll refer you to another competent attorney. read more

I spoke with Robert James directly before retaining the firm and felt confident enough in the conversation that I paid my deposit shortly afterward. After reading some of the reviews I specifically raised concerns about communication and was assured that once there was movement on the matter, I would be kept updated and the firm would handle things. Unfortunately the reviews ended up reflecting my experience... calls were never returned I had to physically go to the office to get attention on an important matter and critical deadlines were missed. I also had to be reassigned from the attorney originally handling the matter because I found the communication dismissive and lacking the professionalism and care I expected. I later raised everything with firm leadership but no meaningful resolution was offered after such an expensive fee. read more

I'm done trying to support my own people in their professions or businesses. They're always screaming that we don't support each other, but the moment you give them a chance, they end up doing you wrong. I have been burned by too many of my own people in different lines of work. I told myself I will never let another gay Black man do my taxes -- I had two that screwed me over. I will also never hire another Black female attorney after wasting more than $2K for them to represent me. This is the second time, and I'm over it. I should have hired Sheneneh Jenkins' lawyer (Ronnie Cochran) instead. Anyway, I'm done supporting Black businesses. They don't appreciate you or your support. I had high hopes when I came across this law firm, thinking they were good people who were willing to work for us and not just for a money grab. If criminal defense is not your strong suit, don't take the case. If you're the face of the firm and you only work with "high-profile" cases, then don't pass me over to one of your staff members that I know nothing about -- or how well they perform in certain areas of their legal field. If you don't have your staff (other attorneys) listed on your website, that's a red flag. I was definitely blindsided when I thought I would be working with the attorney whose face is all over the website advertising his credentials but not mentioning or showing the other attorneys at the firm. This attorney conveniently left out the fact that he ONLY works with celebrities. That's false advertising. The attorney who is the face of the firm assigned me to an unknown with little to no experience in criminal defense or time management. It took almost a year to finally have my hearing, and I still ended up with a not-so-great outcome. What a waste of $5,000. I highly suggest you read the reviews and do your research. Make sure you check the website of the attorney's firm. If they don't show their staff, that's your cue to run. read more

I made the mistake as being a black man of wanting a black attorney for my case I was incarcerated at the time for a charge I did not commit. I was adamant to my mother to retain a black attorney and unfortunately the one we came up with 'good reviews' was Robert James Trial Attorneys. The initial meeting with Mel whom I was assigned to went left as he was unaware of what my case was about and why he had been assigned the case. I was immediately taken aback because we had paid $3000 to retain this attorney. Mel then told me that I would be able to get a refund on my $3000 after meeting me at Fulton County Jail. However, after calling the office a repeated amount of times to get clarity on the refund process. My Mother and I were told we were not eligible to receive a refund, even though no services had been rendered. They also refused from that point on to even speak with me (their client) from whom the money had come from. I immediately contacted my bank and they refunded me the funds after a thorough investigation. After the office was made aware of my refund they contacted me to be sure we no longer wanted to retain them. The audacity! BUYER BEWARE! I would not hire this attorney for my worst enemy. The way they treated me was reprehensible. I won't even go into the details of the language used by the assistant, Brandon nor Mel during our phone calls once they realized they weren't dealing with some ignorant N-word with no education or wealth of knowledge of the law. It's been months since this ordeal and I retained a highly qualified attorney who has been on my case since they dropped the ball. It doesn't bring me joy to write this review months later, but I would do a disservice to anyone who may be incarcerated or thinking of retaining them for a loved one and they are strapped on cash. You are better off representing yourself than going with this law firm. Take it from me! RUN! Find you an attorney that is not just black but competent! read more

Robert James Trial Attorneys - Bank Statement - Criminal Defense Law Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

If i could give him 0 stars i would. He was assigned my case and did absolutely nothing with it for over a year. After calling to get an "update" i was told he would not be able to continue with my case and i had reached almost the statue of limitation as far as the 2 year mark, They then ...very disrespectfully may i add...sent a disengagement letter and sent me on my way. Did not even send my file to me. I had to gather all information all over again and shoot my shot somewhere else. This is by far one of the worse GA attorneys and unfortunately there are several. Save your energy and your breath with this one. And please if they read this....i have asked them to stop sending me mail...i would never refer anyone to them. IF they were as persistent with your case as much as they were with sending you junk mail...they would be worth the 5 stars they claimed they earned. Good luck everyone read more

It's not easy finding an attorney who takes your case and you're happy with the process, communication, and interactions. I can assure you that those were my concerns hiring an attorney but I'm more than happy I hired Attorney James for my case. Thanks for the great communication and settlement. I appreciate you and your team of professionals. read more

When I first came to Robert James I had ZERO faith in the criminal justice system. As a minority I have been reminded time and time again that the system is something you stay away from and that the color of my skin would determine the outcome of my case wether I was guilty or not. So naturally when I found myself falsely accused of a crime and needing legal help I wasn't sure I even wanted to waste my time and money fighting bc I had already made up my mind I would loose. Upon meeting with Robert James all of my fears were eased within minutes!!! Robert assured me that although he couldn't predict the outcome of my case he would fight for me with ALL of his being and that's EXACTLY what he did! Robert took on my case as if his OWN life depended on it. He took it personal and he made me a believer in the system through his ACTIONS. He stuck with me from beginning to the end and delivered BEYOND any thing I could have imagined!! Robert James demonstrated his vast knowledge of the law throughout my trial and put his all into getting a NOT GUILTY verdict for me!! Truly one of the best days of my life because Robert James showed me how the system is SUPPOSED to work when you are NOT GUILTY!!! I can't say enough about the attention to detail he paid and how much he cared. Robert gave me the confidence to face these false charges with my head up! I can't say it any clearer.. If you are in Atlanta or any part of Georgia and need a defense attorney ROBERT JAMES is who you need to call! Don't hesitate! He's truly a GIFTED Attorney and his talent as a litigator is second to NONE!!! A lot of lawyers talk the talk but Robert James DELIVERS through ACTION!! read more
