I signed up for a gentle haha yoga class at Koru Yoga via bodypass and was when I rocked up I was surprised to find that the studio is located at the owners house. There is only street parking and the house if located on a slope so don't be alarmed as it doesn't look like a commercial studio.
Walking up the pathway to the front door you will find there is a noticeboard and a whiteboard to the left for you to leave a note if needed. Once you ring the doorbell, the instructor will let you in and the studio is to the right as you take off your shoes and leave your bag in the hallway.
The studio has dim lighting and everything is provided (mat, foam block, bolster, eye pillow, pillow, blanket) and Kerry was very welcoming and got to know me before commencing the class. Unfortunately the other participants didn't show up but it was great to have a private class with Kerry as she really helped me adjust my alignment and posture in a gentle manner.
Great instruction, friendly instructor, intimate studio. Really great what she has created so if you are after smaller and supportive place to practice, try this out.I didn't ask if there was a change room or shower so you'll have to find out. read more
