We had our summer service completed by KYLER and in the over 25 years of doing business with your company his gentleman did the most through service on our Furnace/ Air conditioner that we ever had. He was very knowledgeable of the unit and explained things I could understand. He should get a Big pat on his back for doing such a great service call. Put him down for our next service call. Last summer we scheduled a service call to check out AC unit. I advised at least three people that the AC unit we have is not a traditional AC system. They all told me they'd send a technician that could work on it. A young man showed up and advised he didn't work on those systems and had never seen one. He cleaned our compressor, refused to check anything in our attic and then left. Fast forward to this week. Our AC goes out Friday and I scheduled an appointment via their website for Monday morning at 8am. Monday noon rolls around, nothing from Korte. I call and ask about arrival time. They can't guarantee me anything and left me on the schedule. Monday evening, around 7pm, I get a text that my Monday appointment was now moved to Tuesday. On Tuesday, I received another text that they weren't going to make it on that day either (so many emergencies for people without AC - yeah, like us) and we needed to reschedule again. We decided to go with another company, and will use them for any and all heating or cooling needs going forward. DO NOT use Korte. The customer service is non-existent, and if you can get someone out to the job, they won't know what to do. They cost us at least three business days of getting our system fixed, and additional days because now we have to get slotted in with another company. read more

We requested an appointment for a quote on brand new HVAC back on may 26th and was told centralnoffice would call. I waited and waited until June 21 and finally called back. Once again was told home office would call only this time someone just came to my house. I wasn't able to take the appointment because I didnt know it was happening. Finally home office called and we set an appointment for June 24 from 12-2. On June 24 at 10 am i get a call that my technician was on his way, of course I wasn't home and wouldn't be home until noon like I told them. At noon they showed up and quoted us $24,000. June 25th we had 2 more quotes both half as much and both telling us nothing is even wrong with our furnace. What a scam of a company! read more

Sales first! They want you to sign up for monthly coverage. They sent a guy to work on my boiler. The tech who arrived knew nothing about boilers. I was still charged a diagnostic fee. Best he could say was "call our finance team and we'll get you a new $17,000 system." It's a simple pressure issue. Guess I'll YouTube the fix. He literally said the boiler couldn't be opened for less than $1,500. Within five minutes of him leaving I had it open. I opened the user manual and started figuring out how it works. Lazy, inconsistent, and predatory. Stay away from Korte read more

Tech that came out for a Saturday emergency was great. Still had issues next day, called twice and was told we would be charged for another emergency visit even though it was for same issue and we bought membership. No one bothered to show up. Gave them second chance to do the camera we already paid for. Told them when we were available. Confirmed this with scheduling that it could be completed in time frame. Tech called next day to do work and said it could not be done in that time and said that they have no idea how long things take when they schedule. Just don't even bother with them. You may or may not get work done. Other people I've talked to had issues with them as well. read more

Technician told me the service plan could be cancelled at any time, only to read the email that you had to have it for 12 months, came out twice, both times had issues afterwards, refused to have them come a 3rd time, called a new company, out once and no issues, didn't need to spend the 10k I was quoted, yes $10,000. Cost me $193, you do the math, not hard to chose. read more

I made an appointment to get my boiler serviced and the tech didn't come in to my house with one tool. pulled things apart said it worked. I called Korte to complain because he did nothing but look at it and then tried to sell my boyfriend a new boiler without any options to fix or replace parts. when I called and told them he didn't service it he lied and said he did. I needed the boiler serviced because I'm selling my house and the buyers asked me to get it serviced and have the tech confirmed it was in working condition. instead he put his own opinion down and said if he was the buyer he would want a new boiler to be bought and put in. he again did not want to fix or repair parts on the boiler he just wanted to sell us a new one. don't waste your time or money with Korte you won get the results you need. now we have to hire someone else to come out and actually service/repair it because Korte did nothing but look at it and said it works. read more

Technicians come late. The first time I was told someone would arrive between 8-12 but no one came until past 12. The next time I received a text that a technician was on his way at 7:35. When no one had arrived by 9:00 I called and was told a different plumber was coming but they couldn't say when. This is very disrespectful of my time. Furthermore, Korte's prices are very high. They quoted over $200 higher than another company for a toilet reset. Several years ago I posted a rave review about the Korte plumber who came, but something has changed. I've had good and bad experiences with them. Guess it depends what worker you get. They also tend to be more expensive. A little over a year ago had them come out to unstop a clog and the guy made a huge mess and didn't clean up! Fixed the clog but had to reset the toilet and my good rug was pinched underneath. read more

We wanted a water softener installed. Noah, our technician recommended an alternative, which we decided to try. Noah did the initial filtration installation, but it wasn't exactly what we wanted. The owner made the adjustment and sent Noah back. We couldn't be happier with our overall experience - installation, service, people we spoke with - all exceptional!! Noah was polite, the installation looks great, he cleaned up. All the people were friendly and pleasant to speak with. read more

We hired Korte to look at a leaky issue in the basement about a month ago and the person who came out for THAT job was AWESOME. Last week when we noticed water seeping through the ground on the side of the house, we expected the same kind of service. I will admit that they DID come in a reasonable amount of time to assess the situation. We had to wait a few days for the 811 to mark the lines. Korte returned the following week. The issue was a small hole in the piping right outside the house and was not very deep. The job only required a small dig at the site of the seepage and a new piece of piping replaced where the previous owner accidently punched a hole through it before we moved in. Korte charged us $455 for a very small job, which I felt was a bit outrageous. Maybe next time, I'll ask for an estimate before I hire them for a job. Other than the price, the other thing that irritated me about THIS job was that the prior week, I worked my behind off removing sod from that area to build a new flower bed..... it was completely grass free when Korte came to replace the leak. I went outside to look at the job performed after I paid and the guys left and apparently, I SHOULD have stood by and supervised their work because they were not very neat at all..... I've had other plumbers in the past perform way neater jobs! These guys left the dig site all lumpy and on top of that, they placed the sod they dug up from the grassy area and flipped it upside down and all messy in my newly unsodded flower bed! I had to go back by hand and remove as much of the upside down sod and grass from my new flower bed and pat down the lumpy areas at the dig site. Now there will most likely be grass growing in my new flower bed at some point in time. Not so sure I will be calling Korte back at these prices. read more

Great first experience with Korte! Called regarding a leaking toilet and hoping to get someone over to look at quickly. I called first thing in the morning, and by noon I had a technician at my house. He assessed the situation and quoted me in a timely manner. I am not expert at pricing, but I didn't feel as though it was extremely under or over priced. We did run into some difficulty as the toilet suggested ended up being too large for the space. However, the technician made sure he reconciled the issue and came back the next day to make it right. He was extremely friendly, professional and helpful. I will definitely be keeping Korte in mind for the future! read more

I just arrived at my mother in laws house. She told me she was having trouble with her faucet. I offered to help but it needed to be done before I could get there. She called Korte. I had no idea that they would charge her more than $900 to install a P-trap, put in a faucet that we provided, and a new garbage disposal they supplied which costs $99 on Amazon. About 3 hours of work to install. I have been in the trades all my life. There are good people out there willing to work for a fair price, and then there are companies like this.... read more

Terrible customer service and deceptive practices. We had a toilet leaking on a weekend and Korte sent a tech to "fix" it - basically changed out the shut-off valve at the wall as well as the float/flapper inside the toilet tank. They charged me nearly $1,300.00 to fix this toilet (and an additional toilet in our basement). A week later, the toilet upstairs overflowed continuously after flushing until my wife could turn off the water main in our basement, causing massive water damage to our home. Korte sent a second tech who said the toilet was clogged by functioning "normally. I have had two other plumbers assess the situation and said there is absolutely no reason a clogged toilet would overflow and run continuously if the tank components were installed and functioning correctly. Korte refuses to refund our money or consider paying our deductible. If you have plumbing issues - GO WITH SUMMERS PLUMBING AND HVAC. They came and installed four brand-new toilets for nearly the same price as Korte charged to "fix" our toilet. I have now turned the entire situation over to our homeowner's and I hope their lawyers make Korte pay every penny of the repairs. Will never have them touch anything in our home again. Over charges for service! Asked the service tech what would be the charge to fix and I thought he said $45. When I get the bill after the work is complete it was $485. When questioned about not having the rate in the preauthorization I was told he always put the rate in after completed. I called the office to address and was told someone would call me. No one ever called I had to call back. When questioned about the rate was told it was a fair rate. I told him I disagree and his tech did not have the rate on the preauthorization and I thought he stated $45 for the install. This is a $50 part and the tech was at my home for maybe an hour and the installation took maybe 30min. Even if you allow a mark-up on the part and include the service call fee this was should have been $200 at best. Service manager would not do anything stated it was a fair rate! I will never use this company in the future. Top it off it wasn't even the problem! read more

Our sewer backed up. We usually use genes sewer service, But they were unavailable due to COVID-19. Korte did call Pryor and say that they could squeeze us in early. I had personally planned on being home, but was unable to at the earlier time so my wife had to deal with them. Genes sewer service normally charges about $185 to clear the back up. Korte told my wife that it be $329 to do the same job as Genes. Sorry should have explained that every year in the spring because the tree roots grow into the sewer we have to have this done. Very simple job takes less than an hour I know this because I have done it myself on multiple occasions and this time. Korte is overpriced and will never get my business again And by the way they do not do it all they wouldn't work on our back up generator either. So if you want to pay $150 more for the exact same service as Genes go ahead and hire them I personally wouldn't recommend. read more

My experience over the past 6 years in my home has been overwhelmingly positive. Every time I call I get an expert, professional service person sent to the house on my schedule. What could be better? I highly recommend them. They also offer a preventative maintenance plan that keeps my drains clear, and the HVAC routine service taken care of. Less headaches for me! The PMA also gets me a discount when I have new work done. Simply a great group providing great service every time I need them. read more
