I strongly recommend against utilizing this law firm. I cannot in good faith recommend this law…read morefirm due to very poor service and excessive charging of said poor service. The attorney Steven Cohen disappeared from my case halfway through the process, and both Steven Cohen and attorney Allison Ramelson-Kert gave poor advice that nearly prevented me from achieving my goal in court. It was very disappointing to have Cohen and Ramelson-Kert offer no support to perform the final important services to help achieve my goal. Additionally, their billing department, specifically Keysy Gordon, is excruciatingly slow to respond and sends incomplete invoices. The experience with this law firm during an incredibly painful and traumatic time period only added to the pain. The value in this law firm is simply awful. Please stay away from this law firm. Save yourself further pain and wasted money during what is likely a trying time in your life.

One notable instance was when I sought legal advice; the team of lawyers was extremely helpful and forthcoming. I am profoundly grateful, especially to Anthony Mallilo, for his tireless efforts in securing the compensation I rightfully deserved for the pain and suffering I experienced. It is impressive that their office has been a trusted presence in the community for nearly 50 years, maintaining a stellar reputation without relying heavily on advertising--this truly reflects the quality of their work and the trust they have built with their clients. I wholeheartedly endorse their services and eagerly recommend them to my family and friends, confident that they will receive the same level of dedication and expertise that I experienced.

We went to this law firm for a consultation four months ago and met with a partner, Peter Vardaro…read more He said he would discuss the case with the other partners and get back to us. As requested, pictures (obviously extremely personal in nature) were sent by email. We received no return call, no acknowledgment of receipt, no email,... silence. Last week, we received a call from Susan, stating that she was unable to get the medical records from one of the doctors and could we "make a call to the doctor " and ask for the records. REALLY? After silence for 3 months, you call and leave a message without even saying if the case is accepted and ask us to do the firm's leg work??!!!!!!! So glad we returned the call telling her exactly that and that they would be of no use to us. Unprofessional, dismissive, rude, lazy and disgusting just to name a few.

Jessica Scheiber has taken on too many cases and wasn't even around when the judge called her. This…read morehappened on multiple occasions and the judge even openly said he was annoyed with our lawyer. We had to flag her down in a different court room because she wasn't around in our court room when the judge called. Other lawyers in the court building carried papers containing details of their cases. Ms. Scheiber didn't know the details of our case while representing us. The judge even commented on this and wondered why our lawyer didn't seem to know significant details of our case. She would walk into the court room with her hands empty, going from court room to court room in this manner, "representing" multiple clients at the same time. She clearly did minimal work in her legal services. Outside the court room she even said it didn't matter to her which side won while speaking with the opposite side. It's all the same to Ms. Scheiber how the case turned out. When asked about her inability to serve in the court room, she said she wasn't just representing us but had to deal with multiple clients, using this as an excuse for her poor performance. It's not an excuse. She needs to take on fewer clients if she cannot handle so many, which she clearly could not. She has the audacity to charge money for such legal services. Please find yourself a better lawyer who actually prepares before the case and who hasn't overloaded themselves to this extent. Her legal services will be at your detriment.

I bought a condo apartment in Brooklyn that was recently developed. There were a number of leaks…read morethat began forming almost a year after the first units closed. The developer ignored our requests to fix these leaks and even filed for bankruptcy, all the while forming a new LLC to avoid litigation. Our building board hired Adam Leitman Bailey to pressure the developer into negotiating repairs. We paid $50,000 for these services. They drafted a letter that requested a meeting, which did not elicit a response. They then asked the entire building to contact our local city councilman, on our own, and also promised they would contact Letitia James. A month later, we secured support from our councilman, by ourselves, but the firm said they would not contact Letitia James. They also declined to help us after they said it wouldn't be worth filing a suit. In short, we paid 50K to do something we could have done by ourselves, and got a letter and a false promise in return. Stay away from this firm. *Adam Leitman Bailey is sending out threatening letters to anyone who files a bad review here. There used to be more negative reviews until they threatened to sue everyone.
