Back in the day, Korner Store was hands down the best pizza in the area. Then things started to change. First, the dough:. They used to have really thick, bubbly, chewy dough. It was replaced by a much thinner crust. Pretty mediocre compared to the old dough. Then they replaced the mozzarella cheese with provolone. Which wouldn't have been a big deal. But they had the best mozzarella I have ever eaten. And all these years later I still haven't found anything that compares. It's been at least ten years since I went to there on any kind of regular basis. What did it for me was extra sauce started become hit or miss. If you are a sauce freak you will understand, that makes or breaks the pizza. There is nothing more disgusting than a dry pizza. And more often than not they would ignore my requests for extra sauce. No matter what I said or did I would end up with a sauceless pizza 9 times out of 10. And, no, I wasn't rude about it.. So eventually I just gave up. It's really not worth the hassle. I would rather go somewhere where I'm going to get what I ordered. And the last time I went there they had switched from real hamburg to that nasty fake shit that all the chain pizza places use. It was gross. The customer service is also hit or miss. I've worked at restaurants. I know what it's like. So I have a rule that I never order from any restaurant unless there is at least an hour before they close. That still wasn't good enough for these people. They still refused to make a pickup order for me at 10:50 when they closed at 12. I'm guessing the owner has no idea that they are so lazy they are turning down orders. And it was one pizza! My GF hates the place. I'm not saying I will never go there again. I will probably stop in and pick up a cheese pizza someday. Obviously hamburg is no longer an option. But I haven't been in 2 years. And I'm in no hurry to go back. If they closed tomorrow, I really wouldn't care. I have been buying pizza kits at Sonny's in Fairfield. They are so much better. We portion everything, freeze it and we can do a 12 inch pizza for around 6 or 7 dollars. Even better, we know it's going to be made exactly how we want it. read more

So here is the story with this place, it is a "to go" kind of deal. The pizza is amazing, the best in the area for sure, make sure you order "fresh dough". They also have incredible lobster rolls. From the outside it looks a bit dodgy but honestly the food is great, perfect place to grab some pizza on the way out. read more

I'm not in Maine often, but when I'm there, I always make a stop at the corner store and get me a lobster roll. The best I've ever had. No unnecessary ingredients. Just lobster and more lobster. Can't ask for anything more! read more

The best calazones around. The service is great, delivery is quick, if there is a problem the manager takes care of it instantly. I am going to miss this place (I moved out of town) read more

The place we go for lobster rolls. Sandwiches are also good. Best news is that they will DELIVER! I've had the fresh dough pizza many times - I'm not sure what all the "hoopla" is all about - of course - I consider NYC the only place to get "real pizza". I guess I'm a bit of a pizza snob... read more

Their lobster roll is no joke! The small 8" is packed with lobster and the prices are so much better than the tourist filled spots around the coast. It is seriously so good! read more

Way to expensive for what you get, lobster roll had so many pieces of shell I could have broken a tooth not to mention it had no taste, wouldn't recommend anyone to go and I'll never go back read more

The large lobster roll is actually two meals! Well worth the $19.95. Perfectly made! Better than many of the lobster rolls downeast on the coast! Fast friendly service. read more

Korner Store - Left half was lunch , right half was dinner. - Pizza Near Me - Oakland, Maine

Best lobster roll ever!!! Huge lots of claw meat and the roll is great!! No hot dog rolls here!!!

Fresh dough bacon onion. Ask them to hand stretch. Much better than the machine. Everything else is pretty heinous. Lobster roll is frozen meat. Oakland House has much better sandwiches. But the hand-stretched fresh dough pizza can be pretty good when cooked right. read more

Fresh dough pizza not overly greasy and cheesy; calzones; a variety of generous sandwiches; great lobster roles with plenty of clear meat and a LITTLE mayo on a sub roll (the best in Maine for me!). There's delivery, or a pickup drive through window, or walk in to pick up sodas, packaged snacks, newspaper, or coffee (creamer powder though). No seating in or outside...go to the park on the lake or take it home. They're also supporters of the local schools. I've never had to wait past the time they gave me. read more

We live in town and order her from time to time, but they are definitely overpriced for the quality of food. Very greasy and they put too many toppings in their calzones. If you want a pizza order from Oakland House of Pizza, sandwhixhes go to Shelby's. read more

For a pizza place, they are the pretty amazing! I'm not a big fan of the prices, but with the different specialties you can get, I don't normally complain. Me and my boyfriend eat here often and we would normally get the pizza size under the maddog pizzas. We have only ever had one time when the pizza was under cooked, but that was cause we waited inside and they must have felt pressured by our presence. read more

I was very disappointed as my hat trick turned into a slam dunk, i'm glad that I smelled it first as I am allergic to fish. I hope this business will raise their standards soon. read more

Best pizza, and the food overall is perfect! Prices aren't too bad as well. Delivery is extremely fast on most cases, expect a delay on weekends as to be expected though. The store itself however needs an upgrade and needs to be fixed up, it's a beater. read more
