We are seeing him in Dorval but they are there only one day per week, but this works out as the office is near my sons school. He is really nice and so are the staff. Now why was I looking him up after we have been going to him for well over a year? I did not do a lot of research for price as he was the only orthodontist I found near me. I have always wondered if I was paying too much. I still have not done comparison shopping even though it is far too late. My bad. I would like to know the average prices. I do assume that he is competitive, at least I hope so as I am near paying the full amount. It is tres cher though. I do recommend comparison shopping but I also recommend Dr Bach. Why only 4 stars? Only because I am paying so much. Of note though is the my son seems to have more pain than his other patients. We had some really strong pain killers left over from an operation that we had to get done before we could start so my son had to use one each time they changed the wires. Fortunately Bach was kind enough to give us a new proscription when we ran out. Most kids seem to get by with ibuprofen.

Unlike a previous orthodontist I had seen, Dr. Steinberg understood the issue right away. He proposed 3 alternative treatments, which we discussed and chose together. In the end, the treatment we chose included jaw surgery, an unique custom appliance (designed by Dr. Steinberg himself) and a year with a retainer full-time. Not an easy journey, but totally worth it! My bite is now correct, the jaw pain is gone and even aesthetically, I find I have more of a big, beaming smile compared to before. I still have a bit of numbness in my chin as a result of the surgery, but that was expected. I've been coming here since 2012 n I really love how calming the atmosphere is. It really helps someone like me with terrible gingivitis. I wish my dental insurance was better tho...or that the staff would offer a fixed payment plan or something, but otherwise can't complain. I grinded my 2 front teeth down to lil nubs by running on the pavement back in 2012...and the work Dr. LaForte put in to fix those buggars was phenomenal. I can at least smile until we do a more permanent fix in a few years. Equally u should see how well he repaired, so far, 4 of my boyfriends front teeth (they used to be black and he fixed them to brand new white!) Things we talked about the last time I was in the office. Not just idle chit chat, but like how my mother was doing after he met her once to fix a broken tooth. How my wife is doing, ect ect. I always find the staff amazingly nice. Very bilingual so have no worries there. Appointments are not hard to get, usually within the week I called. He is hardly ever behind schedule, if you have a 13:00 appointment, expect to be called back within 5 mins of it. From a guy who was afraid of dentist for almost twenty plus years, I actually look forward to going in, even though its usually for a filling ;)
