During my postoperative treatment, Dr. Morwood routinely took photographs of me at every follow-up…read moreappointments, 2x per week. I eventually became uncomfortable with the number and frequency of photographs and expressed my concerns during one of my appointments. When I informed Dr. Morwood that I was uncomfortable with having photographs taken at one appointment, he became visibly annoyed and stated, "You are in charge of your own medical care, but it will affect my ability to treat you." My husband was present during this interaction and politely asked Dr. Morwood to explain how declining photographs would affect his ability to provide treatment. Dr. Morwood ignored his question. Instead, he turned back toward me, appeared visibly frustrated, moved uncomfortably closer to me, and repeated the same statement: "You are in charge of your own medical care, but it will affect my ability to treat you." I replied with a defiant "thank you for understanding". Dr. Morwood promptly left the examination room before the appointment was fully completed. A medical assistant later had to locate him to obtain instructions regarding my postoperative care treatment for that appointment. I perceived the interaction as intimidation and felt uncomfortable continuing my care with Dr.Morwood afterward. The two other surgeons I have worked with were men. They never took the photographs themselves. It was always done by a female assistant. I have lost confidence in the physician-patient relationship. On May 15, 2026, I submitted a written request for copies of my medical records. The office acknowledged receiving my request and stated they are working on providing records maintained by the practice. As of June 11, 2026, I still have not received the records maintained by the practice. Access to these records is important because I had transferred my postoperative care to another physician and needed the records for continuity of treatment. Overall it just feels like you go to Dr. Morwood and pay him tens of thousands of dollar to boost his ego and reputation. When instead you should be paying to improve how you look and feel about yourself. At his prices his bed side manner should be impeccable. All he had to do was empathize with my discomfort. Reassure me that I could abstain if i wasn't comfortable that day and maybe give any sort of an explanation as to why full frontal nude photos twice per week were medically necessary. He did none of that. There was absolutely no regard for my feelings. Also, I was not told before hand that I would need 2 appointments a week post op and that photos would be needed at every appointment. That was not the case with the other two male surgeons.

But this wasn't regrowth... from the beginning it was clear that there was leftover bumps on both sides. He wanted to charge me for the whole procedure again to fix it so I decided not to continue with his practice. 3 years after my surgery and I still have the bump on both sides of my nose.
