pork ramen

food was delicious! the owner was so kind to our big group and patient with us even though we took forever to order. we all really enjoyed it, as the food was very authentic! the restaurant was clean and cozy as well. great prices for us broke college students too, highly recommend!

Galbi with assorted pickled veggies. Korean roll in the back.

Nice cozy ambiance. The food is amazing! I started with the kimchi pancake and Korean roll and finished with a sizzling plate of grilled galbi. The galbi flavor penetrated the short ribs and all the sides it was paired with only enhanced the flavor! The pancake was served steaming hot and the roll was a great balance of flavors. The waitress was great and even gave me an amazing salted Carmel crumble cookie as a take away. Did I mention this place is delicious?!?

Bulgogi kimbap super delicious

The sign was large enuff to spot from a far distance. Me and my bf saw this was kinda close to home so we went to try it out. We both love Korean food and it definitely didn't disappoint. The price was very affordable, the staffs were super friendly. They offer a small buffet from a certain time range. A buttload of side dishes also known as Ban Chan. I ordered the bulgogi kimbap and LA galbi . I love the galbi, there was barely any fats on it, it came out sizzling hot. They were kind enuff to also bring out my ban chan, i had at least 9side dishes that went along with my galbi, if not more. I was very satisfied with everything. The reason why i gave it a 4/5 instead of 5/5 is because the kimchi was kinda salty, some of the ban chan was a bit salty and my bf likes salty but even he thought it was bit salty. Overall its a good grab, so go on in there and give them a try!

Today was a good day! Happened to walk in at 12pm and they had the buffet going which was huge unexpected surprise! $9.95 for all you can eat bulgogi and kimchi is a steal! There were other items as well to chose from. Soup, all the banchan you want, white rice, fried rice, noodles, bulgogi regular and spicy, fried rolls, dessert, fruit, and a few other items that I saw. All delicious. I left full and happy!

I like Asian Grill because they will modify ANY dish to your preferences. Don't like spicy or want…read moreit spicy, they will change it. Want to sub out or in a different veggie, they will do it. You do have to pay for extras like peanuts or baby corn if you want to add them, but I don't mind. The only dish I didn't care for is the chicken teriyaki, the chicken was too thinly sliced for me. The Chinese mustard is not my favorite, but they have packets of the CM I love for take out orders, so I get it there and bring it in for my egg rolls. Love the pad Thai and Kung Pao chicken. The General Tso is good. They have a good variety of specials for lunch and dinner. The crab Rangoon is delicious. The wait staff is always very nice and accommodating. The restaurant is in a strip "mall" and kept up nicely, no outdated decorations I find in so many Chinese restaurants.

Review Visit: October 12th, 2014…read more A fancy version of your typical Chinese restaurant. Asia Grill offers everything you can find at your typical 'hole in the wall' Chinese Restaurant, but more upscale. Now, that is not to slam either this place or any other Chinese place. It was just nice to eat at a more restaurant-style Chinese place than the quick grab-n-go places that are everywhere. The food was pretty good and will run you about $8-11 a person, which is what I consider fair. The service was nice, portions were generous and the restaurant was really nice. Overall, if you want to eat Chinese but don't want the 'take out' variety, hit up Asia Grill. My friends and I really enjoyed it... and so did our bellies!

I was in Iowa City for a few days, and I read good reviews of Le Gourmet. So I decided to try it…read more It was located just a short six minute walk from the Hyatt Hotel. Located in a mall, it looks unassuming. There were about 7 tables inside and many more tables on the outside in the mall. I ordered the jjampbong (seafood noodle soup), which is a common dish in Korean owned Chinese restaurants. It was delicious and spicy. I really liked how you could still taste some of the char from some of the ingredients being flash cooked in a wok before being added to the soup. I have to say this might have been my favorite experience of eating jjampbong, and I've had some really good ones in Los Angeles. I came back the following day for lunch again. This time I ordered the baby clam thin noodle soup. Another hit! The flavor of the soup base was spot on, and the clams were already taken out of the shell, which made it more convenient to eat. I would definitely order both again if I visit Iowa City again. The food and service were excellent. The owner checked up on me to make sure everything was good. I highly recommend this Korean restaurant. Who knew Korean food could be this good in Iowa?!
