Have you seen Judy's hilarious videos on Facebook, YouTube or Tik Tok? We have and did a roadtrip today from St. Louis to try her food. Great ambiance in the restaurant and no wait to be seated. Our server Lilly was thorough and quick too. Excellent Chinese dinner tonight at Judy's Kitchen! We ordered two hot and sour soups and the Crab Rangoon as appetizers. The soup was so fresh with big pieces of Chinese mushroom and bamboo shoots. The Crab Rangoon was perfectly fried and not overdone. Flavor was lightly zesty and fresh too. For dinner I ordered the beef and potato stew which came with large chunks of stewed beef and potatoes in a light brown sauce. It wasn't spicy (no spice level for the dish) which I expected so I added some sriracha sauce to it. My boyfriend ordered the beef chili hotpot and it was delicious too. Lots of spicy broth with sautéed crunchy cabbage, soft beef, pieces of spicy pepper, onion and spices. We shared our entrees. The entire meal was so good and owner Judy kindly took photos with us afterwards. We are staying in the nearby town of Okuwaka and we will be back tomorrow for breakfast at Judy's Cafe, her other restaurant in Galesburg. Come for dinner, stay for breakfast! read more

Is it yummy food? Yes! Is it super authentic? Not the most but still would dine here! Spice levels were not as strong. Flavors are good, however. They have the trendy Sichuan dishes! Staff is kind. The space is modern, high ceilings. read more

The service was quick and friendly. The have a bar and serve beer and mixed drinks. I saw Judy on social media so thought I'd try it out. She had recommended her mongolian beef in one of her videos, so I ordered that and the egg rolls. The egg rolls and accompanying duck sauce were ok. The mongolian beef was well seasoned but not spicy so I added the chili oil from the table side to it. Overall the dish iwas good but not exceptional. We ate breakie at Judy's kitchen today. I had the angry dragon omelet. The coffee was great and they kept my cup full. They had live music. The food came out fast. The service was awesome! Judy was running and I mean running around taking care of customers! We had an awesome experience and I would definitely go back. Her pancakes are the best! read more

I am so sad! We love Judy's cafe and wanted to give Judy's kitchen a try and man from start to finish it was not good. Waitress took our order and then didn't write anything down so someone else had to come back and ask what we ordered, the large table behind us ordered after us as did a couple who came in almost 20 minutes after we did and BOTH received their food before we did, drinks were not good, they did not have a bartender working. We heard great things about this place, but we had a terrible meal. No-one greeted us, so we seated ourselves while staff sat at a high top drinking beer and talking. Server finally came to the table after staring at us, and barely spoke at all. From the constant "stink eye" glares, we felt unwelcome from the time we arrived to the time we left. Cost was high for small portion sizes, and both our entrees had hot and cold spots throughout. This is a place to avoid. read more

Ate dinner at Judy's Kitchen (had Breakfast the next morning at Judy's Family Cafe). Judy's Tictok videos say, "Come for breakfast, stay for dinner!" We did the opposite! The new location for the Kitchen is a great deal bigger than her Cafe location. However Judy makes such an effort to check on diners and creates an atmosphere of joy, it really doesn't matter which location you are in, but I would definitely recommend both! The service and attention was perfect! The dinner menu has lots of Chinese food options! Very good! Try the Dumplings (pot stickers), and go support Judy!! read more

Great location. Fun atmosphere. Great food! We started with egg rolls, crab Rangoon's and hot and sour soup. All were delicious. For entrees we had kung pao chicken, orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, vegetable fried noodles, shrimp fried noodles, cashew shrimp and Mongolian beef. The shrimp were huge and cooked perfectly. The beef was tender and sauced just right. And the noodles did not disappoint! Service was quick and very friendly. There is no question we will be going back to see Judy every time we come to Galesburg. Make sure to get a picture in the gorilla chair! read more

We tried to get in at "Judy's Cafe" but they were just too busy and weren't providing waiter service for patio diners........they suggested we go to their "Judy's Kitchen" a short drive further........so we did! Most of our group had breakfast items, pancakes, omelets, bacon, juice. My daughter and I also added egg rolls and crab rangoon. The crab rangoon was out of this world! The egg rolls were very good but not like standard ones you have elsewhere that are loaded with much more cabbage. "Judys" were smaller, very tasty and the only way I can better describe them is to say, they tasted "healthier", less of a super crunchy deep fry. But they did intrigue me and I suspect my husband and I will be back to explore more of her Asian offerings.........and more of that crab rangoon for sure!! Service was excellent and Judy herself even helped take care of our table. I love an owner who will dig in with their employees. The kids loved the big gorilla chair at the entrance. My daughter told me Judy herself recently appeared on the "Jennifer Hudson Show". And Judy started an interactive cafe display at Galesburg's local children's museum. If I could rate less than one star I would, they wouldn't stop playing bruno mars, the gorilla was staring at my man across from our table, we thought he had cameras in his eyes. I asked to sit upstairs but was refused, food was really embarrassed they fed us chicken balls, and hard rice. The food was meh. Sad because I really wanted to like it. The service was fine, and of course I support Judy--the most famous Galesburgian (Galesburger? Galesburgite?) in decades. But man, was that food bland. It was like she was trying to make it palatable for yt people. Girl, put some chili oil in those dishes! Don't be afraid to make authentic cuisine!
