These Guys just did a great job installing an Outlet for my Plug-in Electric Vehicle. I checked around and nobody could beat their price, timing or responsiveness. I cannot recommend Kordick Electric highly enough; they were able to come to my home within two hours of my initial call! The electrician- Bill (who is a genius)- determined the problem instantly. He was knowledgeable and personable. The situation, which could have been disastrous-was remedied in an hour; leaving me much relieved. Bill even followed up the next day to see how I was doing and if all my electronics had survived (they had)! We were struggling to install a chandelier that was meant for flat ceiling on sloped ceiling. It was a part of our kitchen project, and what my kitchen guys were suggesting was unacceptable(leaving a hole but trying to camouflage with paint). This is the second time we've used Kordick Electric. The first time was a relatively large job. They had to re-wire or reconfigure and replace much of our circuit breaker and they also installed a mega panel to support our sump pump, backup pump and other stuff. They were polite, efficient, professional and fairly priced. The second time we used them was for a small job (re-wiring a chandelier). Once again, polite, helpful, efficient and fairly priced. They came out next day (I'd actually tried two other places first to give "acquaintences" business - shame on me! They failed to return calls - I wasted a week). So, I cannot speak highly enough about Kordick. We've had three different electricians from their establishment and we've had positive results with all of them. Kordick rewired our home in Winnetka. They were responsive and always on time. The guys are experts and made minimal damage when pulling the new wires, despite the fact that the existing knob and tube wiring was a hot mess. It can be hard having strangers in your home for a few weeks but all of the Kordick guys I met - Dustin, Vince, Doug, and Jeff - were trustworthy and courteous, which is rare. When it comes to electric I'd say it's best not to mess around or you could have a real problem on your hands. I would trust Kordick with any complex scenario, they're extremely established in the area, and they've been nothing but a pleasure to work with. read more

I have used Kordick Electric for over 20 years. Since day one I was sold. They are reliable, professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy. I think they are fairly priced when you compare apples to apples. You get what you pay for! Any job they have done for me has been done efficiently and in a timely fashion and always according to code. They always clean-up and are very conscience. We were recommended by my husbands parents who have used them for $1000s of work and thought they were reliable and honest. The guy came over to give us a quote and he was rude to our really nice AC guy who was just trying to explain the work that needed to be done. The ac guy said he wouldn't listen and kept saying "I know, I know" and blowing him off. He treated my husband the same pretentious way. We got a bad feeling when he left and called a second highly recommended electrician who informed us that we didn't even need some really expensive part of the project the first electrician tacted on to the quote. So no big deal we went with the second electrican that we liked better. When korDICK found that we were going with the other company, he actually called the Village to tell on us for not having a permit! We didn't even know we needed one for the project. When I called to ask why they would do that (so slimy) they said it was their duty and we needed a permit and they were just doing their job. I think they were being big babies bc they didn't get the job. If they were just doing their job for the benefit of the Village they could have told us we needed a permit instead of going behind our backs to purposely get us in trouble just because we didn't choose their company. Be very careful with this company. I have no idea about their quality of work but I do know that they were going to overcharge us, didn't listen to our needs, and were vendictive when they didn't get the job. read more

We used Kordick Electric to look at 3 outlets and some electrical wiring on our porch when we were having our siding redone. It was at most an hour of work that needed to be done, but probably more like 20 minutes. The electrician was here for 3 hours doing who knows what. I actually couldn't find him half the time. We received a bill for those 3 hours of work. Many of the items were for tasks I didn't ask for. I called to complain and the owner actually hung up on me. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. read more

Please to go the reviews that are not recommended and read one written by Hayley H. We were the ones that suggested they use KorDick for the electric work needed for their air conditioning. We have used KorDick in the past and found them to be reliable but a bit expensive. My husband took the time to explain to the owner Lisa about the job and the time frame. What we asked for was an electrician to come to the job and start working NOT come and give an estimate and come back a week later. My husband went to the worksite, and put the a/c installer on the phone so he could talk to KorDick Electric and tell them exactly what he needed. The electrician that showed up knew nothing about the job, was rude to the a/c man, and to my son (I have talked to both directly to confirm this). The electrician was not prepared and said that he would get back to them with an estimate IN A WEEK!!!Exactly what we took great pains to avoid. So my point is, why say that is would be possible and make promises you can't keep. My husband was very disappointed considering this was our referral. He called KorDick and they did not own up to their mistake. When they didn't get the job (and this the electrician confessed to) the electrician reported it to the village for lack of permit! No one had any idea that a permit was needed and if the man from KorDick was so concerned WHY DIDN'T HE TELL THE HOMEOWNERS. So moral of the story, go with anyone but KorDick. read more
