Tried this place yesterday for the first time. Outside the building doesn't look like a upscale joint but when you walk thru the door it is very nice inside Sat across from the bar at a high top table the waitress had a good personality. I had the Hickory BBQ Burger with Bacon. The Burger was cooked perfect very juicy and flavorful. The Bun was perfect not real chewy but held up to the juicy burger and sauce I opted to get onion rings instead of house made chips. The onion rings were ok. They had a good batter but need to use a good sweet onion for flavor. House made ranch dressing was very good We also got the soft pretzels and beer cheese. The pretzels were exactly what you would expect good chewy flavor the cheese was really good too I will be back to this place next time I'm in the area read more

This was my first time here after reading many excellent reviews of the restaurant. It is a quirky place: old, nondescript. There was no parking available at the main lot near the entrance, so we had to go up a dirt road to a second lot. We were seated at a high top table, which would not have been our preference. I did not see another type of table until after we had been seated. There is a lottery machine and a cigarette machine. I know of no other restaurant that still has a cigarette machine. The men's rest room is tiny. Kopper Kettle attracts a wide variety of people, including bikers. There are tables outside which were filled on the night that we went. The place is extremely casual, both for the staff and the customers. Paper napkins are used. The menu is extensive and prices are fair. We dined on Sunday when there is an all you can eat spaghetti special for $12. It comes with meat or marinara sauce. It was very good. The zucchini planks ($10), were a good portion, but just fair: nothing special. The female host was not friendly; the two servers who took care of us were both pleasant, friendly, and efficient, making many stops at the table to see whether we needed anything. read more

We were traveling through the area and found Kopper Kettle on Yelp. We ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce, lasagna and side salads. The spaghetti was cooked perfect and portions were large. Salads were fresh. Service was very good. My only issue was the ground beef between the layered lasagna was not mixed with sauce. read more

It doesn't look like much, but the food is great and at very reasonable prices. The only reason i didn't give the 5th star is that the bathrooms need some attention/remodeling. No big deal. - Great wings, huge and cooked perfectly (no slimy/greasy wings here!) - Homemade blue cheese dressing with the wings was awesome - made me want to order the steak salad just to have it again - Stuffed hot peppers are HOT and really delicious - Mussels in garlic sauce were smallish in size, but quite tasty - East coast oysters on the half shell - not what I expect from a roadhouse in SW PA, but excellent and almost like being on the coast Will definitely come back!!!! read more

This place used to be good, stopped in tonight and it was terrible. My husband got a hot roast beef sandwich, it had 3 pieces of old lunch meat on it. He was hungry so he ate some of it. I got a pasta dish, it was ok, they asked if I wanted gartic toast or bread and butter, I got garlic toast. The waitress comes over and asks if we want to go boxes, i said roast beef was horrible. She took our plates, came back with my pasta, and bill. $10 for a disgusting roadt beef AND $1,95 for garlic toast. Won't be back. read more

This restaurant/bar is one of the top places to eat in Washington. Years ago this was a dive bar but over the last decade this place has become one of the go to places to eat and enjoy a cold beer with your meal. The staff is friendly and the food is amazing. Waited by the hostess stand for 10 minutes...people working there actively looking to avoid eye contact. Walk up to the bar to see if I seat myself...waited about 3 minutes while every bartender and server walked by...not one looked at me, never mind offered to help. We found this a nice place to stop for lunch. It's a few miles off I-70 but easy to find. I had the loaded potato soup. I believe it was home made and very tasty. Also had the Philly cheese steak and a side of slaw. Both were excellent . The slaw was made with a mayonnaise base, which I prefer. The Philly was decent size and had shaved steak without the fat or grisly stuff you sometimes find in a Philly. The cheese was not cheese wiz. The sandwiches come with chips. read more

Went there per the recommendation of a local I met elsewhere. Don't judge a book by its cover. Place is a little rough on the outside. Once we got in it was a clean and fun atmosphere. We sat at the bar. The 3 lady's working the floor have a collaborative/teamwork approach to waiting on customers. We sampled a couple localish craft beers, chatted and reviewed the menu. The crafts we had were from Ohio. The menu is far more expansive that we would have imagined. Everything we saw coming out of the kitchen looked great and included: wraps, sandwiches, salads to Halibut, steaks and various pasta dishes. I went wings and had to get tots bc they were offered. I asked Abby about temp and she said if I like hot go for it with the extra hot. My friend went with a burger with perogis on it. He enjoyed it. My extra hot wings were far hotter than any wings you've had at a BWW or Bob Baumhauer's. The sauce was deep red, thick and super hot like a really hot curry. Much more depth to the heat than your local run of the mill bar and grill hot wing or a shock value burner wing. I ate 9 of my ten. I down played the heat after the first few to convince my friend to eat one. He now hates me and is forever my immortal enemy as a result. Abby who as it turn out is heat adverse made the recommendation to go for the X hot bc I said I liked hot. The sauce is house made. The level of heat varies. Tonight the kitchen accepted the challenge to someone saying I want the x hot bc your hot isn't enough. Side note the bleu cheese is house made and excellent. Don't order x hot unless you really like the heat. We had a good time and felt welcome though we are very far from home. One of the few non-chain establishments in the area. A great place to have a beer and enjoy a good quality meal with some really good people at a reasonable price. read more

Number 1. Problem- the service was terrible. Before we even ordered anything, the waitress was clearly having a bad day. We didn't get our drinks until after our food came out, she never came back to check on us, and even the people at the other table were headed to the bar to get another drink because she was nowhere to be found. It wasn't very busy. The food was good. Two wraps, one Pittsburgh wrap (definitely recommend) and the buffalo chicken wrap (good but nothing special). The homemade chips come with the orders, and if you order fries you will only get about 6 of them.. so why waste your money? This is very comfortable pub to eat or drink at. Plenty of tables and sufficient bar top space. They serve the standard beverages and their food is quite good. Some of the gravy's are a bit salty for my taste but other than that, I truly enjoy getting their specIals when the opportunity arises. While dining I used my card for purchasing and I tipped the waitress cash. As we were leaving another waitress said you didn't tip and I turned around and said I tipped her cash. I just checked my card and was charged an extra 20$ that they put on my card as a tip. Very rude and inconsiderate!!! Will never be returning! read more

Stopped in here on the recommendation of a local and it exceeded my wildest expectations. There were so many mouth-watering options on the menu that it was a tough decision, but I doubt that we'd have been disappointed no matter what. The pasta frittata was a fantastic twist on traditional spaghetti and the Marco Polo chicken was just wonderful. We also had the beans and greens as an appetizer-it's hard to believe that such a simple dish could be so flavorful, but this stuff was absolutely bursting with it. Given how well they pulled off these entrees I can only imagine that the rest of the menu is just as good. The atmosphere is cozy and informal and the prices reasonable. Looks like a pretty popular sport bar style restaurant that can be family friendly. There are big TVs with sports on and they have country music playing. The place is essentially a big room with tables all around and a bar in the middle, just a neighborhood bar & restaurant. There were a lot of dirty tables when I arrived, but I had no trouble finding a good seat anyway. Service was prompt and friendly. There were some regulars in the establishment, friendly and good-natured people. Not a lot of draft beers, just the basics. The board promised a craft beer on tap but it hadn't been kept up to date. Some craft beers are available in a bottle. I had a chicken wrap. It was pretty good and the kitchen did not skimp on the chicken or anything else. The prices are very reasonable.
