The second was a part time lady who was actually quite polite and nice but seemed to rarely work during normal business hours and rarely returned my calls. They continually lost important documents that i had to re submit dragging out the process. On 3 separate occasions i asked for an updated statement with all current billable hours. Not once was my request honored,at the end of the case the bill was 50% higher than what i was originally quoted. Upon questioning office staff about specific billable hours that did not make sense to me I was told that i needed to speak with Steve. After multiple calls that went un returned Steve finally responded to me via email stating that he would deduct 500 off the bill and if i did not pay the balance he would take legal action against me! I cant stress enough to stay away from this law firm. It is run like a part time business that charges Full time prices.

I agree with the other poster (J.A.). We sought out Atty. Scrobell for advice. He claimed he was an…read moreelder law atty. No way. He apparently just "dabbles" in it a little. He is extremely conceited, judgmental, and rude. After talking to him on the phone for 15-20 minutes, I could tell that he knew very little about elder law, as I had spoken to other actual elder law attorneys previously. Some of the information Atty. Scrobell mentioned was totally inaccurate. He tried to act officious and pompous and said he didn't "know" if he wanted our case as he didn't need anything "complicated". Uh, what?? How's that again, Danny Boy? Just looking for the easy cases that a first-year law student could handle?? I plainly told him not to worry, as he didn't sound like he could handle a complicated elder law case. I told him that we were taking our case to someone else...who (incidentally) gave us an outstanding outcome while being caring, polite, and extraordinarily knowledgeable. It is clear that Atty. Scrobell is too elderly for elder law!
