Got me in and out super fast.So on there web site it states 7 day return policy when you buy a car no questions asked but after talking to Mark Rodgers General Sales Manager he is letting me know there is only 1 return allowed even if there is a situation with the car and it's before there 7 day return policy. The summary of this review is that I am very dissatisfied with the service department at Koons Ford Baltimore and will NEVER return for future service, nor would I recommend this service department to anyone. I dropped off my vehicle for a regular 6-month service and Maryland state inspection on 2/19/24 at 10am. I also requested that the windshield wiper fluid be refilled, as the light was on in my car, and I was told this was part of the service. I was informed that both the service and the state inspection should not take too long and I was offered the complementary Lyft ride home to wait for the service to be completed and a Lyft ride would be sent to pick me up later that day. I was also told that the service representative would be in contact with me with updates or if anything unexpected came up. I returned home and did not receive any updates for several hours. Finally, at 4pm I texted the service rep asking for an update. He stated that the state inspector "got stuck" on the inspection that came in before mine and would not have the inspection done until the following day at 10am. I found this appalling as I was given no updates about this, had purposefully gotten a morning appointment so that the service could be completed in a timely manner, and I had a full day of work the next day with no form of transportation. I had to have a Lyft set up to get to work the next morning and I stated that I would not be able to pick up my car until about 5pm, which I was told was no problem. The next day, 2/20/24, I did not receive an update on my vehicle until 1230pm, obviously after 10am when I was told it would be ready. I was told that my vehicle now required some part replacements in order to pass the state inspection but this could likely be completed that day. I was told I would receive a follow-up message confirming this shortly. I again heard NOTHING until I sent a text at 2pm requesting an update. I was then told that the replacement would not be finished that day and my car would not be ready until the FOLLOWING day. This also meant that I had to cancel a medical appointment that I had scheduled for that day. I had to request additional Lyfts to get to and from work for a second day and was told that I also had the option to get a loaner car for $40/day but I had to be there by 4pm to get it. This was impossible because I work a full-time job that I cannot just leave in the middle of the day to pick up a car and I was not about to pay for a loaner car when I SHOULD have gotten my car back the day I dropped it off. The following day, 2/21/24, I again received NO updates until I texted the service representative requesting an update at 1245pm. I was finally told that my vehicle was ready. When I arrived at the service department, I was directed to the billing desk and told a total for the service. I requested to first review the bill, as I had not even seen it nor received any explanation for the charges. I have gotten my car serviced at other Ford service departments every 6 months since I bought the car in 2017. I have never had problems with service departments (great communication, reviewing charges appropriately, etc.) and, the one time my service took a mere 3 hours longer than expected, I was offered a several hundred dollar discount UPFRONT for the inconvenience (thank you Ted Britt Fairfax Ford). I asked the service representative if there was any sort of discount he could offer for the extreme inconvenience of not having my vehicle for 3 DAYS. I was told he could maybe make some "adjustments" and told that the Lyfts I received were actually a few miles outside of the 10-mile radius limit they usually approve. While I am grateful that I was provided the Lyfts, these would not have been at all necessary if I had just gotten my car back the day I dropped it off! The total of the "adjustments" he could make came out to a whole $40 on a thousand-dollar bill. I will say that my service representative was at least polite throughout the service and seemed like he wanted to help, even though there was a noticeable lack of communication. I was absolutely appalled leaving the service department, but was at least relieved to have my vehicle back. However, 10 minutes into my drive home, my tire pressure light came on. HOW?! It was ridiculous to be driving home from 3 days of service and have a light turn on. When I checked it the following day, one of my tires was at a 22 PSI. Not only that, but the following day, I used my windshield wiper fluid ONCE (for about 2 seconds) and the low fluid light came on!! I had SPECIFICALLY asked them to fill the fluid, and I can only guess that they filled it enough to turn the light off, as it immediately came back on after using it ONCE. Unacceptable. Overall, this has been an extremely disappointing experience. Koons Ford Baltimore did NOT provide the level of service I have come to expect from Ford and has me questioning Ford in general. read more

Sold me a car with a cracked windshield which I didn't see until after the tint was removed then had to jump through a bunch of hoops in order to get the windshield replaced. Never told me how to go about getting the hard tags for the vehicle. Came to the MVA to inquire and was told by the MVA that the dealer should have the tags. Called the dealer just to be told that the tags have been there since the 9th! This dealership is beyond poor in terms of customer service! Do not get a vehicle from here! read more

Koons Ford did nothing well in this experience. I was already interested in leasing the Mustang Mach-E Premium AWD with extended range battery, because I had recently rented one, but I wanted my wife to test drive it. I had a trade in and they wanted to start the trade-in process even before the test drive and even before negotiating the trade-in value. My wife liked the vehicle so we told them we were interested. The problem is that the lease price they gave me was more than double what was on the website. On the website, for the vehicle with that exact VIN, the lease price was $330.00 per month without a down payment. After I protested this, they came back with $520 per month and told me that the website was a mistake. On top of that they offered me $4,000 less for my vehicle than the Kelly Blue Book trade in value. With that I was so angry with what my wife and I told them was misleading, false advertising, we called it off and left. I realize that $330.00 per month lease is too low for that vehicle, but if I had known the honest price going in I would have considered it differently. I will still consideri purchasing or leasing this vehicle in the near future but I will never go into Koons Ford again. read more

I think I will pass on going to get my truck service there anymore . Poor communication and service. Was there for a oil change, that took almost 2 hours and I was the 3rd person there when it opened but I let that slide. Got my truck and my bill was almost 150 bucks for a oil change BUT no one stop to ask me the customer if I was willing to proceed with a nearly 150 dollar oil change before doing so( keep in mind I asked prior to going how much was the oil change, customer rep said around $40.00 bucks but I knew it might have been more due to my style vehicle). Service guy didn't even know that it was going to be high and knocked off some money. Went to look for service manager...... no where to be found!!!!!! Done keep your services .No wonder people call dealership service " stealership services" !!!! Update:10-18-2020 Koons ford charged me 2 times extra for a oil change !!! I can't make this stuff up if I tried!! I now have to transfer money from another bank account ( 2-3day process from a different bank online ) to avoid an over draft since I have auto deductions come out my account since $233.12 is pending to be take out of my account!!! Got up this morning to find out my did chewed on my car key messing up the chip inside. Key still opens door and turns ignition but of course won't start. Called to get get replacement key and was told $600 to cut key and $180 to program it. Reached out to local locksmith who arrived at my home in about 30-40 later who cut me a new key and programmed for $160. Just super confused on the significant price difference. Quoted almost $8500 for transmission repair issue, the transmission would be replaced with a remanufactured not new. When multiple other shops in the area were contacted the repair was quoted between $4-5500 almost a $3-5000 dollar difference, the repair is on a vehicle only slightly out of warranty. When calling the Koons service department nobody answers, I have tried for days to reach someone and left voicemails and like others have stated nobody answers or calls back. The transmission is possibly part of a recall and nobody at the dealership wanted to even acknowledge that it could possibly be related and then covered under a ford extended warranty on the recall. Additionally Koons has been bad in the past about keeping informed on what's going on with vehicle. The engine had to be replaced only 10k miles ago because of a manufacturing defect. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from ford nobody wants to stand behind the build quality and when asked for options they just look at you like "not our problem" I have never felt so worthless to a company as I have with Koons. If I do repair the issue at a dealership it most likely won't be Koons and they have lost a customer for life. Keep in mind I have purchased 4-5 vehicles from Koons other dealerships including Toyota but again won't be back to use this dealership if they can't make it right. Have Ford Corporate trying to advocate for me but we will see how that goes if any resolution will be found. read more

This is the worst experience of my life. I thought I found the jeep of my dreams and its been a complete nightmare. I purchased my jeep at Koons Ford of Baltimore. After driving my jeep the check engine light came on. I purchased the extended warranty so I thought I wouldn't have anything to worry about. I dropped my jeep off and they had it for a week in a half. I got a phone call telling me it was ready for pick up. I was able to drive it for one week before the light came back on. Since then my Jeep have been returned 8 times for the check engine light coming on. The last time was my tipping point with this dealership. I was told that my rentals would be covered under them the rental company charged me and said the dealership never put in for an extension so not only am I paying 800.00 a month for a Jeep I cant drive but I have to cover the rental price as well. Remind you I paid for the extended warranty Waste of money!!!!! I spoke with the GM my Jeep was shipped to Antwerpen because after the six time of them trying to fix it they couldn't. after 2 weeks without my jeep I called Antwerpen to find out how much longer would they have my Jeep and I was told they never even started on it because they called, texted and emailed trying to get someone from Koon's to send over the warranty agreement. After a month of waiting Antwerpen returned my Jeep Koons without any repairs being done. I was told that Koons would fix it instead without an explanation on why Antwerpen didn't fix it. I received a phone call saying my jeep was ready for pick up when they gave me my jeep back it had a flat tire when I walked inside and told the lady she told me to fix the tire it would be 58.00 I asked her how am I charged for that when they had my Jeep for over a month and I haven't even drove it? Their driver brought the Jeep out to me with a flat. She told me I didn't have proof that the flat tire was on them. I asked to speak to a manger she told me they don't have a manager there. I got the loaner car key back and had to return on Monday morning after having to take off from work. The problem is the lady didn't know I had pictures in my phone showing that I didn't have a flat tire because I was called early to come pick up my Jeep and the check engine light was still on. I took a picture that shows I didn't have a flat and I never drove my Jeep to get a flat. The manager on Monday apologized and said that no one should have called me because the Jeep wasn't ready. He told me that he would fix the fit and fix my truck. I got a call two weeks later telling me that my Jeep was ready for pickup. I drove my Jeep for one day! and the check engine light came back on. I returned the Jeep back...... Then on 3/18/24 I am told the part is on back order to come pick up my jeep and return the loaner until my part comes in. At this point I feel like I was sold a lemon that they can't fix. over 20,000.00 wasted on a Jeep I can't drive and still expected to pay the car note and car insurance along with a rental that was suppose to be covered. Pete Dixon at Koons Ford simply provided phenomenal service. We purchased a used 2019 Toyota Prius and Pete took very good care of us. From initial contact, to arranging a test drive, to the sales process, and service after, Pete delivered more than we expected. That is really rare these days. The part of the process that is often the worst at car dealers (getting to a final price with the whole "check with the manager" routine) was very straightforward with Pete. The price was fair (we had done our research). There were no add-ons we did not request that other dealers have tried in order to increase their margins (e.g., ceramic coatings, anti-microbial treatments, warranties, etc). Our cost was the price, taxes, tags, and title. Nothing hidden. I could go on at great length, but will close where I began - Pete Dixon is a pro, and I would not hesitate to buy another vehicle from him or recommend him to friends and family. read more

bought a 2024 ford mustang. the sale was quick and easy which i was appreciated for but after taking the car home I realized there was a squeak in the engine, sounds coming from the rear glass, headlight was out of place, and the audio was glitched out. I talked to Jeff to help me with the issues. granted Koons was being bought out by another company at the moment but after it was finished I had not gotten any kinda update regarding my car to be fixed for months. I went to bob bell and they managed to fix my headlight within a day. koons did fix my audio system quickly too which is great. But now for my glass, they did not believe me when I heard something and seen something was wrong with the rear glass and another month later, as I was driving my glass exploded!!!. I was driving 30 mph and hit no rocks and it's a snowy day. I 100% believe it's a manufacture issue but what made me frustrated more was that a manager in sales thinks a rock hit it or it was caused by "someone mowing their lawn". thermal heat explosion and a rock hitting glass are totally different and noticeable. Either way at this point the car was maybe or is a lemon and I spent months hearing "yeah we will call you back" when weeks later I had not even a single call back. I'm shocked to see any bad reviews on here. My wife and I love Koons Baltimore Ford so much that we've bought *3* cars from them since July 2012. Is it because the cars were bad? Nope! They're awesome and the experience was awesome. I bought a 2013 Mustang GT from Tom Snyder back in July 2012... over the internet, no less. I put down a deposit to hold the car on the lot, came in, walked out with a 420 hp monster. Tom was great. We talked a lot about Mustangs... there was no needless haggling back and forth. I got a sweet ride for $31k... Recaro seats, brake package... everything. This is THE place if you want a Mustang. Ms. Carol handled the financing and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't want/need. A few months later, the wife needed a new car and we had such a positive experience that we went back. There was a sweet race red Focus that seemed to be sitting on the lot because it had a manual transmission. We showed up, test drove it, and got it. As I recall, Tom S. even came in on his day off! We walked out with a Focus. Most recently, in Feb 2014, I needed a snow car. If you've never driven a Mustang GT in the snow, I really suggest you don't do it. Tom had been promoted by now, but he hooked us up with Kasey who was awesome as well. Seriously. I saw they had a sweet Focus ST. Walked in, drove it. Loved it... didn't even bother with the Fiesta ST and 2 months later I LOVE the car. It's fantastic. It also does great handbrake turns in the snow. Once again, Ms. Carol handled the financing and she was great. It's almost like they're family by this point! We drove back to Baltimore from CLEVELAND to get this car. And they even handled the Ohio plates. We have dealt with the service department as well, usually through Kyle. My wife had one of her seat warmers go out. She took it in, they diagnosed it, and replaced it under warranty. No hassles. No nothing. Most recently, the screen on the radio in my Mustang was cracked really badly (this is a rare, but known issue in 2013 Mustangs). It's purely cosmetic, but is really gross. I e-mailed a photo to Tom and asked if he could help me out, put me in contact with somebody in the service. A few days later, I got an e-mail from Paul S. in the service department asking for my mileage and telling me he'd get the radio in and they'd replace it for me. No problems at all. They have fast cars. They fix any minor issues that come up. They're great people, and even work with strange requests like "Hey I'm driving over from Ohio tomorrow. Can you help?". I think after buying 3 cars, we're done for a little bit... but when I decide that I really need a Shelby GT350 in a few years... I'll be going back to Koons. read more

Worst experience ever! Given a price on a vehicle and a bait and switch tactic was pulled. We went to go check out a F250 diesel and were finally convinced into buying the truck. The manager even came out and talked us into everything when we finally agreed. Apparently they made a mistake quoting a price and tried to sell us a different vehicle last minute. It was switched to a F350 gasoline, the sales guy and the finance manager were both trying to convince us it was a better truck. Until finally the manager came out and admitted to the mistake. He said they couldn't give it to us at that price. We left visibly upset and will definitely never return to this dealership. read more

Steve (a sales manager) was very unprofessional and delayed all processes which forced me to end the transaction. Never seen so many changes for a single purchase and manipulation against a customer. When try to book just a oil change where I would drop off vehicle on Thursday night and they can keep for few days to get the first service on my new car they had nothing available. Buying a Ford Fiesta has been one of my biggest disappointments. I did not buy it here, but I took it to get serviced here. They did a diagnostic which cost me $138 to tell me that the issue could only get fixed at another service center (Apple Ford). However once I went to Apple Ford... they were charging me for another diagnostic. Koons Ford charged me for a diagnostic, but then when they learned it was part of a warranty for previous service... they sent the 'problem' to another place. The Ford company has a huge problem from the head down. The manufacturing of the car was horrible and the service centers don't really want to honor the warranties. I am honestly surprised to see that a company like this is still running. Ended up selling my car, and bought a Honda. read more

We had the best experience at Koon's Baltimore Ford as you could ever have at a car dealership. Our salesman was Keith S. and we instantly had a fabulous rapport with him. Keith found our vehicle (only 1 in the tri-state area), put the keys on his desk, so nobody could buy it from under us, until we could get there to test drive and buy it. Keith is the consummate professional and had all the Ford truck knowledge to boot! Besides 20+ years of truck knowledge, Keith is a very personable guy who was an absolute pleasure to work with. Upon dropping off the car we were told it would be done by a certain time and not only was it done they were unable to locate the car.
