My wonderful experience at Koons Ford began with my first email request about the 2012 Ford Fiesta. I received a quick response from the General Manger Dennis Koulatsos on the availability and price of the car I wanted. He was pleasant, honest, and extremely professional throughout the entire process. The professionalism and friendly atmosphere did not stop there! I spoke to and emailed other members of the staff who were also very pleasant and professional I can only remember a few I dealt with by email (Steve Ageloff - lead settlement officer & Tom Snyder - New Car Sales Manger). I was in and out of the dealership within 45 minutes!!! There was also one gentleman on his break in the waiting room who was talking to my friend as she waited for me who I found very enthusiastic so needless to say I will definitely be coming back to Koons Ford Baltimore for all of my future purchases. Thank you all for your professionalism and kindness!!!! T.K. read more

I had been to this Ford a few time before and had never been blown away by the Customer service. In the past I had been talked down to and treated poorly by employees, making it seem like an inconvenience for having come in. My last experience has shown me that there is no regard for the customer. I had intended to come get an oil change before the weekend since I would be short on time the coming Saturday. Not having an appointment I decide to call ahead to even see if I could come in. The employee on the line told me he expected it not to get busy and there should be no problem fitting me in. After driving 40mins to the dealership, I am turned away. Not only was I well within service hours but now the garage is full and only one technician is working. I get told to come in on Saturday morning. Now even with an appointment I am told that it will take 90mins to be ready...for an oil change and a huge waste of time. I had bought my car originally at the Koons of Annapolis. After having great experiences there, I expected it be the same at this branch. I was very incorrect in assuming this. I come here because of proximity since moving from Annapolis and my maintenance plan which covers routine work (going anywhere else will void my warranty). I recommend that if you're able make the trip down to Annapolis, you will receive prompt and better service there. read more

Shame on Dennis Koulatsos GENERAL MANAGER for not returning our countless phone calls to resolve our complaint regarding damage done to the right bumper paint during new car transport. Also to the staff for covering up for him each time we called! Dennis - you should return our calls and do the right thing! BUYER BEWARE! .......Dennis resolved this situation to our satisfaction. We would consider buying another mustang from Koons in future. read more

Bought a car more than 4 weeks ago. I trade in a vehicle, they offered $9000 I had offer from car max for $12,000 so they matched trade I value at $12,000. I put down some down payment but wanted $3000 back from trade equity. Sales person and finance person assured me that I will get the check in the mail 3-5 days. Waited about 10 days, no check. Also noticed that they did not pay off my loan on trade in. After about two weeks called accounting department, lady told me that they will not release trade equity until they get the title in their possession. Then hurry up and pay off loan so you can get the title. Now it is past 4 weeks still no equity check. I understand their company policy but at least they should be upfront about it then I would sell and get the check same day from Carmax. Or they need to train their employees about your company policy so they would not mislead customers and you would not receive unnecessary bad review. read more

For a person who wrote new car reviews that appeared in The Baltimore Sun and other publications and websites for over two decades, I know a thing or two about the auto industry. While the majority of new model launches I covered took place throughout this country and Europe, occasionally I was given the assignment to find out how these new models were selling in the Baltimore metro area. I interviewed local dealers to get the story. While most were happy to grant me an interview over the phone, they were more reluctant to have me interview them in person at their stores where I also wanted to interview potential customers on the showroom floor. Only one dealer was willing to give me unfettered access to his dealership employees and customers at any time I asked: and that was Dennis Koulatsos, General Manager/VP, of Baltimore Koons Ford on Security Blvd. in Woodlawn. When I needed to do a local story, he would always say, "Come on down anytime you'd like, spend as much time with anyone you'd like to talk with and feel free to ask any customers or salespeople on the showroom floor or out on the lot anything you'd like." Needless to say, I found that attitude enlightened. Better yet, my stories reflected the type of spontaneity and genuine interest that only an atmosphere of complete transparency can provide. During my time as an automotive journalist, I never had to buy a car since the auto manufacturers would provide me with a new car to evaluate each and every week. Over 20 years, that amounted to well over a thousand different models that I drove through Charm City streets. Since then, I've moved on to other writing endeavors, and I now shop for my cars just like anyone else. Last month, I bought a prevously-owned 2010 Eddie Bauer edition Ford Explorer from Koons Ford Baltimore. This time I was dealing with the used car department rather than the new car folks I came to know from my time at The Sun. We negotiated what I felt to be a fair price, and at their suggestion, I purchased the extended bumper-to-bumper warranty. I am glad I did. Just several weeks later, a horrendous sound emanated from the Explorer when I tried to shift it out of "Park". It was at work and the Explorer was in a downtown parking garage. I called Koons and they called the roadside assistance company. When they were delayed, Koons sent out a driver to pick me up and take me back to the dealership. Then they provided me with a loaner car for the several days it took to fix the Explorer. The problem: the sealed differential came apart inside and most of the parts had to be replaced and the unit rebuilt. Total cost was around $2,500. Cost to me was $100, the cost of the deductible from the bumper-to-bumper insurance policy that I was thankfully encouraged to buy. During all aspects of the sale and later service, I feel I was treated most fairly. Koons Ford Baltimore certainly lived up to the axiom of: "Excellent service after the sale." read more

I'm typically leery of companies with five-star reviews. These days, they're likely fake; however, when I considered the sheer number of positive posts for Koons Ford at Cars.com, I couldn't help but wonder if they're all true. I can't speak for anyone else, but in my experience, it was so true. I see there are some luke warm reviews here on Yelp so I just had to share my experience. After weeks of research, I finally settled on the car I wanted, a used 2013 Toyota Prius that happened to be at this dealership. With prepared financial records and what I thought was the best interest rate available based on my credit score and a previous offer, I negotiated what I considered to be a reasonable deal. Unfortunately, I was wrong. To my surprise, Koons Ford, as such a large dealership, was able to leverage their volume with the finance company to blow my estimated interest rate out of the water. In fact, in comparison, my number was laughable next to the rate they secured. If that wasn't enough, days after the papers were signed, I felt uncomfortable with having only one FOB key. With a quote of nearly $500 for a replacement from a Toyota dealer, I contacted my salesman, Keith Schopman at Koons Ford, to express my concern and explore the possibility of some sort of discount. Instead, he chose to surprise me again by not only covering the cost of the replacement FOB key, but also programming & key cutting labor as well. A totally free key and floor mats after the deal was done. Astonishing! With Koons Ford, I got everything I wanted, for less than I wanted to spend. As a small business owner I know there's good, fast and cheap; you can only have two. If you want it good and cheap, it won't be fast. Well, in my experience, Koons Ford delivered on all three. We closed my deal on a Sunday afternoon in just a couple of hours; I even took a business call in the middle. I'm not suggesting they're going to give a free key to everyone, but it's fair to say that Koons Ford will go above and beyond, not to close a deal, but to satisfy a customer. And for me, that ethos makes a huge difference. For that, they've earned my trust and endorsement. Cucillo Consad read more

I search for weeks to find a Jeep Wrangler within my budget only to find that the quoted internet prices had hidden fees and dealer options that i did not ask for nor wanted. I went to Koons Ford to look at a Jeep and 45 minutes later i was signing papers on a deal that was below the budget i set for myself. My sales consultant Ahmed Baroud was excellent! He was knowledgeable, very attentive to my needs and respectful. I got just what i wanted and at a great price. THANK YOU SO MUCH! I WILL TOTALLY SHOP WITH KOON'S AGAIN! read more

Alrighty where to begin. First time arrival it was impressive, friendly salesmen, huge selection, and a clean building, all very nice. All was going smoothly until the finance department, that's where it went downhill. We were told untrue facts and were withheld vital information about what I was about to purchase that would have a critical effect on the outcome of the situation. All of the information that was told to us and explained was not what our contract said or any of the terms we agreed to. Getting back home and reviewing all the information we then realized just how deep it got, the pricing was wrong, the interest wasn't what we were told, the monthly payments aren't what they should've been, everything except the first monthly bill was false and we were made to believe something different. After realizing the severity of the situation we called up there quite a few times before the ball got rolling in the right direction as to getting the problem fixed. I will say, though despite the huge mess that was created I do give props to the general manager for helping to resolve this. He was apologetic and told us that whatever they could do in their power to make this right. He could've said "tough, you signed the contract" but he didn't and was very professional about it and I can't say a lot of people would've been, there are dealerships out there that will cut you like that. So even though the finance department made a mistake I can't discredit the friendly attitudes and professionalism that everyone else showed. After the problem had been discovered it only took a day to resolve. We drove back to the dealership where we sorted things out and only expecting a few changes in the contract we got much more then expected. A lower interest rate, the correct payment, and even a full gas tank and the utmost apology from the staff and regardless of the situation they didn't have to do any of that, and for that I am grateful. Though this was a bit of a headache they do take their reputation seriously, and will do anything to make sure that your set with your new car; I thank those who helped fix the problem and to thank you for showing that you guys really do care. I would do business with these guys again and I would refer anyone who was or is looking to purchase a new car to Koons ford. read more

Warning: Avoid the advice of "Tony N" below me. Its complete bunk. The "wow" price listed IS with local incentives and rebates from Ford. If I could leave no stars I would. This dealership is the epitome of dysfunctional from Day one. No owners manual, One key. No code to my truck.etc. "we will send them to you" Never received anything from them . Then three years with no air conditioning having in in there for 10 days and then another day for ac problems under an Ford 100,000 extended Warranty. The service department is absolutely horrible. They never fixed my ac which went out at 20,000 miles and i toolkit in with 38,000 finally two different dates. within two miles of leaving second time it was blowing hot air. Now they say they won't guarantee any of it because they didn't put in new compressor so that isn't covered under their warranty. Well obviously thats why the AC didn't work in first place obviously. Now they want me to pay 1885.00 to fix an ac that had two different warranties on it Fords and Koons of Baltimore. Joe Koons needs to buy whoever owns that place and run it like a true Koons dealership. Koons of Baltimore is run by a bunch of children. P.s. I waited five hour to see service manager Ticia and the people in there "before me" were there: The one man for an oil change and car wash (6 hours of his day with his grandson) The other woman who sitting their quietly(reading a book) after he started pacing and losing his cool, spoke up and said i'm just here for an OIL CHANGE( 7hours of her day)..... Its really like these people who work in service think that offering free oil changes and car washes is great ....guess what it will cost you your whole day there . Don't be fooled when they are trying to sell you a car. I could go on for an hour but trust me this place you do not want to deal with unless you like stress, disappointment, and dealing with complete lack of professionalism. Especially after, they suck you into a car or truck. If you happen to go int service do not go to Bruce. L He will not only not listen to you but he will conveniently forget any conversation about your vehicle or the problems your having with it. He just doesn't listen(selective memory) or he is just downright a dishonest person. Very selective memory!!!!! Famous line "we will take a look at it"! thats why Im driving around for three years with no AC in a $45,000 F-150 with black leather seats and having to bring four shirts to work every day... Went to look at a 2005 ford f-150, took for test drive, heard strange noise but only lasted half a minute before stopping and there were no warning lights so didn't think much of it. Bought the truck, took it home, the next day I drive it, I hear the strange noise again and the battery light comes on this time. Took to my friend who's a mechanic and they told me the alternator was overcharging the battery. THEY HAD SOLD ME A TRUCK WITH A BAD ALTERNATOR. So I called them and they forced me to drive all the way back up to Baltimore (I live on the Eastern Shore of MD) to have it fixed and they also TRIED TO BLAME IT ON ME AFTER ONLY HAVING IT FOR 2 DAYS!!!!!! Great experience, just purchased a 2016 Mustang GT from Koons. At the recommendation of a friend I bought a Rav 4 for my wife from their Tysons Corner location a year ago and was hooked. WOW that sucked. Agreed an "on the road price" for a new car and when I showed up to buy the car, they offered less for my trade, and I had to walk out and buy the car at another dealer. Despite what they say, they do not have the best prices in the Baltimore area. I'm giving one star because they wasted my time by proposing one "on the road price" and then changing it when I was sitting at the desk to buy. They do big volumes, and I'm sure they don't care that they wasted my time. They can nickel and dime you, and if you walk away, there will be another sucker shortly. Fortunately other Ford dealers can and do beat them. read more

The customer service of this organization is completely deplorable. I purchased my vehicle from Koons close to three years ago and the service from the point of sale has been very distasteful. This year is the first year in which I was determined to use my free birthday car wash. I scheduled an appointment on Saturday 1/7/17 which I arrived for and waited over two hours before approaching the staff and being told with lack of care and concern that I was told it could take a while. Later I was told that my car was not even being tended to at that time. When I asked if it was reasonable to wait over 2 hour with an appointment the service department member explained that it a service that Koons shouldn't offer because it a headache. This has been unbelievable service. The service departments staff conduct themselves with zero care to the customers. Next time I will pay for a premium vehicle at a premium dealership for the most reasonable service. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS OF ANY TYPE HERE!!!! read more

I had my car towed to Koons Ford for a warranty issue. The threads had failed and my spark plus shot out. I'd had a problem with the same spark plus coming lose before and had brought it to another Ford dealer. They tried to tell me that the warranty was no longer valid because the car had been worked on before. WTF? The guy in the service departement said that I must have tampered with the engine, so I needed to pay the $800 for the patch repair. Once I told him I was not going to drop persuing the issue, I was told they would no longer repair my car. I had Ford tow the car to Apple Ford, where it was repaired under warranty, no question. And I received a new cylinder head, not just a patch. I will NEVER go there again! read more

I believe in giving praise when merited and Koons Ford of Baltimore honestly deserves it. There are also several other dealers under Koons umbrella but specifically Baltimore. This was my first new car purchase experience and I have to say it was relatively painless. I've heard of stories where people are in a dealership for 10-12 hours haggling over price and details. From start to finish I was done in about 3 hrs. Just a little backstory: I am from NYC area and work as a firefighter. I was detailed to another firehouse about a year ago, I drove there in my Focus SVT at the time. One of the firemen at the house, who was also a car aficionado, chatted me up about his new Mustang GT. When we got to talking about price he mentioned he got it at Koons earlier that year. And the price he got was THOUSANDS under what any other dealership in the NYC metro area could do. I took a mental note of the name. When my bus decided to cut the life of my SVT short early this year, it was time to look for another car. I looked around several dealership in the NYC area. Initially for a Honda Fit which I found out dealers essentially didn't discount them from MSRP. I did a nationwide search, while some prices came up significantly below MSRP they included all sorts of rebates which I didn't qualify for (military and college) and didn't included their doc fees which is different from state to state (as much as $700 - OUCH). So at the end of the day the difference in price from the highest priced dealer to the lowest was never more than $500. I played around with the idea of owning a Fiesta ST. It's a great car though a bit on the small side compared to the Fit. While there were discounts off MSRP at local Ford dealers but mostly because of Ford's incentives. Essentially dealers around NYC don't do much discounting. Their costs are much higher here and they always have people streaming in and out. When I did a nationwide search there were several dealers with really low prices as well. Again, most of the dealers listing on Cars, Cargurus or Autotrader all did the same shady games. They would include military and college rebates, destination charges, some even included trade-in rebates. NOTE: Ford rebate & incentives vary from region to region and regardless of where you purchase you will ONLY qualify for the incentives that pertain to where you live. (e.g. Kansas resident might have $4000 in factory rebates but NYC might only have $2500. Buying from a dealer in KS would still only get you $2500.) It protects dealers in NYC, otherwise everyone would just fly to Kansas. So I was getting tired of the shenanigans and started requesting OTD pricing (out the door). Prices were all over the place. Most came in really high. Some dealers wouldn't even give me a break down. They would reply with a form letter that said "c'mon on down for a test drive" without reading my email. So what's the difference with Koons? They were also one of the lowest priced dealers when I was doing my search. I got a response from Melvin Bagby within the hour with a price. Their price was one of the lowest after doing 2+ months of research. Note: Their WOW prices didn't include the destination charge $875, their $300 doc fee, or DMV tags & taxes. BUT Their WOW price does NOT include bogus rebates which 90% of buyers probably won't qualify for. So I called Melvin to confirm everything. I made sure the price in writing was was the price it would be in store. He assured me it was. "The price we list is the price" At no point did he try to upsell me on another car or other options. So I booked a Chinatown bus from NYC to Baltimore and he was nice enough to pick me up (he could've said take an Uber). Granted it was a Monday it might be different on a busy Saturday. I got to know him on the ride in. Really decent family guy. When we got to the dealership he took my info, signed some forms, and we test drove the car. The Fiesta ST was everything I expected. Melvin held my hand the whole way. Answered any questions I had or took me to someone who could answer it. With just 3 emails, 2 phones calls and a bus ride, I saved about* $2000 from BEST quote I could get from the local NYC area dealerships. Within a few hundred of other dealers in other parts of the country which I would've needed to fly to. And THOUSANDS off of MSRP. I won't disclose how much in case I ever want to sell this car. But the hit from devaluation will be MUCH less. * It's hard to say exactly how much because of different options on the cars. Proud new owner of a 2016 Kona Blue Fiesta ST. Side note: Don't forget to break-in your engine for the 1st 1000 miles! TL;DR Even if you didn't do the 2+ months of research like me, you should know the price you're getting from Koons is probably going to be the best you are getting anywhere. If you're in the market for a Ford and within 500 miles it's probably worth it. Thank you Melvin and Koons Ford Baltimore for a great first buying experience. read more

I was in a rear end collision about a month and a half ago. I was quoted that it would take between 4 and 5 days to complete the repairs to my vehicle.... It took 5 weeks! They did not communicate with me very well and I had to call them for updates rather than they calling me to give me updates. This changed a little bit at the very end when the person handling my vehicle changed. During this period the insurance company that was paying for my rental called me and told me that they would no longer be paying for the rental. Koons did pickup the tab for that going forward but it wasn't until that took place that progress on my vehicle was truly made. They continued to find issues with my vehicle even up to a few days before I picked my vehicle up which doesn't give me great confidence in the quality of their work. If you have a vehicle for 5 weeks why is it that you are still finding issues two days before pickup? Also when I picked up the vehicle there was a wire hanging out from right above where the trailer hitch is. Rather than taking it back as I want to use my vehicle I will fix myself as I know taping a wire will probably take them a few weeks. On the good side everyone that I spoke with was friendly and the work appears to be good but it took them a month longer than they told me it would which affected my life as I cannot take a dog to the beach in a rental or go hunting and put a deer in the back of a rental. The other thing that pissed me off was that when I received the final information regarding the total cost of repairs it broke down the hours worked on the vehicle and it was under 40. I gave them 2 stars because the work appears to be complete (except for the wire hanging out above the trailer hitch) and the people I spoke to were nice. They lost 2 stars because of how much longer it took than they quoted and they lost one star because I had to call them the majority of the time rather than them reaching out to me to let me know what was going on with my vehicle. read more

I bought a 2008 Ford F-350 diesel from Coons Ford three weeks ago. They actually delivered the truck to my place of work in New Jersey which was very nice. Driving the truck home was a nightmare. It had two bad unaversals in the back. The truck vibrated so hard, the traffic in the door mirrors was blurry and there was a loud clunking in the front-end which turned out to be bad ball joints. The truck was completely undrivable which I couldn't tell during the test drive because they only let me drive it on 25 mph roads. So I had to put the truck in the shop on the first day I owned it, so far I've put about $2200.00 into a truck I just bought from a Ford dealer. They drove it to me, so there's no way they didn't know there was many things wrong with it. It's hard to believe a Ford dealer would sell a truck in such horrible condition. I'll never trust this place again. The dishonest salesman's name is Scott. read more

Everytime I drop my car off here, I can guarantee you I won't see it again for at least a week. When I call to ask if they've looked at what's wrong with the car, they say "we're working on it." Okay but what exactly are you working on if you never even looked at the car? I called at 11am and they said they're going to look at it then called again at 2 and same response. Lastly, called again at 5, and I'm sure you can guess what the response was. The guy also seemed unwilling to listen to what was wrong with my car when i came in. I took a picture of the error message on my dashboard to show him what was going on and he told me "it's fine." Overall, this is the closest service place to my location and that's the only reason I come here. Otherwise, you would never see me here. One time, my car was gone for two whole weeks for a problem that the other service location told me could be fixed in 4 days! Their biggest problem is that they lack communication with their customers. read more

If you don't want to be bothered by a dealer, here is a warning. Don't call Koons Ford. I blocked my personal number when I called them. I was only inquiring about a used car purchase. I did not want a call back. They have a device like many other companies that can read a number even when it is blocked. Right after I concluded my call (they had no cars of interest to me) they called me back. I explained to them I had blocked my number so as not to get a call back. This was extremely annoying. If I had wanted a call back I would not have attempted to block my personal number. They were very unapologetic when I told them of the dilemma. This is a very inappropriate used car dealer tactic. Modern technology certainly caused them to lose a potential customer. read more

WORST DEALERSHIP EVER!!!!!! Be warned Bought a brand new 2013 Mustang GT Convertible and had by far the worst car buying experience I ever ever experienced. I've been buying cars for over 45 years and have never been treated so bad by a deanship. First off Mike Tomazos was extremely rude any time I spoke to him and would never turn any of my phone call. But I'm getting ahead of myself, first I bought a brand new 2013 Mustang GT from Koons in the beginning of July I live in Miami so obviously they had to ship me the car. Right off the bat Mike was making the actual purchase of the car extremely difficult by never returning calls and by making me do all of the legwork since my salesman Adam was a brand new salesmen. I have never had a harder time giving somebody almost $6k down and trying to but a $40k car then I did with the folks at Koons. Once the sale was complete about 10 days later since according to Mike it takes that long to do the paperwork which is BS it should have been finalized in an afternoon minus the overnight delivery of documents for signature. The car was now going to be shipped from Baltimore to Miami to make sure it was on it's way and to know what the status was I would have to call multiple times a day. Once Koons told me it was enroute I had a temporary sign of relief until when it came time for the truck to pull up to my driveway with the car many days later I got a car from the trucker that the car is still in Baltimore and that he had a trailer fire and the car is parked at the truckers house until arrangements could be made. Koons never told me the car never left and they were contacted to pick it up I had to call them the next day to inform them what the situation was due to their heads being firmly up their &!$ 90% of the time. At this point I didn't know when I would get my car so I call my attorney and Ford customer service for some answers, fortunately ford customer service had the regional manger of Ford I believe contact me admit fault of how this is being handled told me that Koons telling me that they don't like shipping cars was inappropriate to say and basically making sure the car would be sent ASAP. A few days later I received my car which was in great shape thank god, when I called Koons up to get reimbursed for my rental car they told me that there was nothing their going to do and that they paid extra to ship the car to me, by the way I paid for shipping I'm not liable for a surcharge due to their negligence. To Sum up If your going to but a car go to another dealer that cares about customers not just making money and that when all else fails Ford ended up making things right. read more

Bought a used car from private party, and got notice for a software update. Thought it was free and called a few dealerships around, but everyone wanted to charge one hour labor for this 8 min update (dealer install only unfortunately). Only Koons rep told me to drop by and they can do it free. I verified multiple times that it would be free, and made an appointment. Went there and of course was told it would not be free, but for a ~40 (well, still cheaper than what I got over the phone from other dealers, sure it might be different when I actually drop by too), and was offered a discount to knock it down to a few bucks. Anyway, during the process, the tech who actually did the job tried to convince me there was no update for my "old" car, and I already had the most up-to-date ver. Well, you can take it at both sides, positively, he was trying to convince not to waste my time and money (he could've just said yeah I did the update, where is my money); but on the other hand, it showed that he was not that aware of what was going on with their own cars. I had to go back and forth to clear some misunderstanding that he then realized what I was asking for. He went back did it and before I left I asked him what ver he got it on, and he gave me the answer I wanted to hear. I should've checked it online immediately before I left, but I thought it might be a little rude since the man told me straight up. Went back home and checked it myself, and found he only got a patch (intermediate update that could be updated by owner himself). I had to call ford's tech hot line myself and copy and paste the "script" the rep provided for the tech. I emailed the service adviser and forward him the "script" while making the appointment. So I got the car back and checked with the service adviser that the tech got my "script" and methods directly from Ford how to do the update. He told me yes, and the wait game began. I waited for about 2 hours to find out that they just started to work on the car because the tech called me into the garage to show me the system again showed no update for my car. I had to stand by him and read him the method Ford hot line rep gave me word by word, and woah lah, my update showed up and the whole process took about 15mins. I asked the tech if the service adviser guy gave him the method I was reading, he said no. Well, someone was lying. I appreciate their attitude to work with customer but either the training from Ford overall was bad or the work ethics was bad enough that it took me two trips, 4 hours waiting and personal involvement for a 15min software update. read more

If you don't want to deal with dishonest people and haggle like crazy to get the best deal go somewhere else and be sure to do your research before. I arrived at Koon's Ford Baltimore to view a new F-150 Lariat, the salesperson I had been talking to Ana tried to find the truck I requested to view in the parking lot but was unsuccessful. Shortly after she left me to search for keys for the truck I wanted to view. Ten minutes later a different sales person approached me and said he was going to take me to a different lot because the truck was not located on the main lot. After introducing himself he proceeded to grip and complain about how he was forced to show me the truck and he had other things to do. A week later and after a lot of research I returned to have my car appraised and I was insulted with an offer of $2,500 under a reasonable and fair price based on Kelly Blue Book. Melvin said if I drive 20 mins to Carmax and get a better offer that Koon's would match it. So I went to Carmax and got a quote offering $1,000 more than Koon's. Once if forwarded the appraisal from Carmax to Melvin at Koon's they refused to match the Carmax offer. read more

This is the best place in the Baltimore area to get your car service done. Very awesome people from front desk agents to the mechanics. Most mechanics at Koons have over 25 years of experience so, they know what they are doing. Lastly, the price is very affordable. I love Koons :) read more

I bought a 2012 Focus from Koons after calling several other dealers. The staff there (Philo) were attentive, knowlegable, helpful and not pushy. I had a great overall experience, got my car for about 1,000$ less than the last dealer we saw. Also, the finance dept beat my credit union's finance rate, 2.24% w/ a 1.99% auto loan! So, in the end I got a great deal, solid financing and courteous treatment. I'd buy there again. read more

I had inadvertently posted a negative comment to Koons Ford Baltimore site. They were immediately responsive and concerned. My comments applied to Koons Ford Annapolis and I have redirected my review to that site. My sincere apologies to Koons Ford in Charm City. read more

I recently had my truck in for service and had a very bad experience with the service team. I had been going there for years and this was the first time I had a bad one. But thanks to Kiesha she made everything perfect. She delivered what she promised and I will continue to have service work performed at the dealership. I also want to thank the detailed lady in the body shop. Her attention to detail was 2nd to none. I explained my situation to her and she made it her priority to make me happy. Unfortunately I forgot her name but I know she has been there for 10+ years. Please send her my thanks. read more

Very poor experience with this dealer. Reached an agreement with a salesperson to purchase an F150, spent a lot of time getting everything lined up, then literally hours before I'm supposed to go over there to do the paperwork the salesperson calls me and tells me the truck was sold. Salesperson tried to offer another truck that was the same color but otherwise not even close to the same truck. Said no thanks and went back to Bob Davidson Ford where I started. The kicker is that when I was at Bob Davidson completing a purchase agreement, a couple came in and said they had driven from Pennsylvania to purchase a truck at Koons only to be told as they were about sign the paperwork that the truck had been sold! Apparently this is Koons's m.o. I suppose Koons has low prices but be prepared to get screwed over and otherwise treated like cattle. Do yourself a favor and spend a few more bucks to support a dealer that actually cares about its customers. read more

I bought a brand new mustang from koons ford Baltimore. When I got there I noticed a tear in the drivers side panel. I spoke with Dennis Koulatsos and he assured me they would fix it. 1 month later he won't answer my calls and said I shouldn't have driven it off the lot. I finally for him to call back only to yell at me and told me to never call his dealership again. I do have the all recorded and how he treats his customers. I gave a negative feedback from Ford cvp website and Dennis said if i get that removed he will buy the vehicle back. After a week and successfully getting it removed he said there is nothing he will do and don't bother him anymore. I would never step foot into this dealership again and I would recommend no one else buy from koons ford Baltimore again. I would hate for you to experience the things i have with Dennis. I'm still trying to find someone over him because he is very rude and will screw toy over the second he gets a chance. read more

This was by far the easiest car purchase I've ever done. I did my homework on the verhicle - 2014 Fusion Titanium Hybrid and had a good idea of what was a fair price. I was lucky enough to randomly get hooked up with Larry Bouldin as salesman and his professional, non-pushy demeanor really helped me make up my mind to buy the car here. I had gone through the USAA car buying service to get quotes and the Koons price was significantly better. Sam the finance guy was wonderful and finished up the purchase quickly. We had some logistics issues with a rental car and traveling to/from Alexandria to our home in Baltimore and Larry arranged for a new demo loaner that we used until delivery of our new car a week later. The entire process was super easy, no pressure and very fair pricing. Thanks to all of the staff that made this happen so smoothly. Thanks also for the recommendation to dine at Island Quizine, Sam!! read more

I'm kind of surprized at all the really negative reviews because I had a very good car buying experience at Koons Ford Balto (Ford Fiesta). The sales guy was super nice as was the financing gal. I'm not giving them all 5 stars because when I went to pick up my tags they hadn't filed them under my last name (starts with "M", but it wasn't filed under "M"). They're DC tags, but they didn't file them under "D" either. And, no, they didn't file them under "W" for Washington, DC either. What did they file it under? "F". "F"??? Why "F" ?, I asked. They said, "For federal". Total IDIOTS. It took them almost an hour to locate my tags because some bone-head filed my personal vehicle DC tags under "F" for "federal". They're not even gov't tags. Cuz it's not a gov't vehicle. The woman at the counter said they filed them under "f" cuz DC is a federal city. Since when do they file tags based on a juridsiction's attributes? Then, they had the nerve to suggest that I come back another day after they could find them. This was after they called me to say the tags were IN their office. I told them I wasn't leaving until they found the tags. So, watch out for the bozo-brains who deal with tags. As for the rest... I have an appointment with their mechanic this weekend to deal with a warranty recall on the transmission. I'll be vigilant for any untoward or underhanded behaviors that other reviewers have described. Thanks for the warnings. read more

I submitted all of my information online to speed up the process of buying a car. I looked at photos online which the salesman told me were actual photos of the vehicle. When I got to the dealer they walked me out to car and it had a huge dent not shown in photos. I feel they should have been upfront about the dent. After that and I explained I was picky about cosmetics they then proceeded to show me a car that had a bumper that was peeling and cracking badly and a vehicle that was just brought off the truck and not inspected which was filthy inside and out. Besides all that I was left sitting in the dealership while Ahmed my so called salesman, proceeded to walk around looking lost and dealing with another client who was looking to buy a Shelby. I guess I was unimportant so I walked out and took my business elsewhere. If you don't want to waste time sitting in a dealership, and you want to be treated fairly and not lied to I suggest going anywhere other then Koon's in Baltimore!!! read more
