This is my experience. I initially went there in June of this year. I had to go back for blood work, and while sitting in the waiting area, I noticed at least ten of the many chairs there had cracked vinyl and stuffing protruding out of them. These were not very high quality chairs to begin with. Once I went in to get my lab work done, the area where they were doing labs had the same dilapidated chairs. I went to use the restroom to get a urine sample. it was disgusting. The baseboards were old and filthy. The instruction signs were printed on paper that was crinkled and stained. It was around 10 am and the trash can was already full. The soap dispenser, water faucet, paper towel dispenser, and light switch all had to be touched manually - nothing was motion activated. (It's 2025.) There was also no pass thru window to place samples. I had to walk around with my urine and ask someone where to put it. I contacted the patient advocate for Bond Clinic and informed her of my experience, and she said that Bond Clinic would be merging (?) with Advent Health and she couldn't guarantee what changes might be occurring. Now this might be the icing on the cake. POSSIBLE TRIGGER WARNING: I'm a 60 year old woman in good health and have been going to the gynecologist for decades. The last doctor I had was amazing, but sadly this year my insurance changed so I could no longer see him. I will try to put this delicately. In recent years - perhaps with advancements in technology - and possibly the expertise of the mostly good doctors I've been fortunate to have - I've usually had a pap smear that was uncomfortable for just a few seconds and then it was over. Enter my new gynecologist at Bond Clinic. She seemed nice at first. I won't name her, but she has an Eastern European accent and said that she was trained in France. Anyway, she does her business down there - and it felt like she put one of those little metal clamps that hold paper together inside of me. But, it gets better. This b$!ch leaves it in there for like 90 seconds while she goes back and forth to a little cart and is pumping something. I almost felt like crying, but anger won out - even though I was able to remain calm and keep my mouth shut. I vowed I would never go back there again. Thankfully I was able to change my doctors with my insurance. I pray that no one ever has to go through what I went through. They clearly have no regard for their patients or even their employees.

Three Stars I have been a BayCare booster since they took…read moreover operations at Winter Haven Hospital. I have used the lab and imaging services at the hospital and at Winter Haven Hospital, as well as two the the clinics in Winter Haven and Auburndale, finding the doctors, nurses and other employees friendly and caring. My primary physician referred me to Dr. Porteous at their Gessler Clinic, across the street from the hospital. I found the doctor and his nurse to be friendly and caring, and the doc spent a considerable amount of time explaining my test results as they applied to possible kidney disease. In my opinion, the care was excellent. However, the clinic is like a mouse maze and it's not easy to determine where to go to reach the doctor's specific office for examination. I was told to go to "Area E," so, upon arrival the main desk directed me to another building where I encountered less than satisfactory service. When asking for directions and employee didn't seem to care that I was not familiar with the layout and she directed me, "Down the hall and to the right." I ended up at a dead end. I encountered another employee wearing the distinctive BayCare blue polo. When asking her how to find the area I was needing to go, she told me, " I have no idea, I only work in THIS area." So, I turned and re-traced my steps until I came across another blue shirted employee and asked for assistance. That young lady was MORE than helpful. Not only did she ask me to follow her to the elevator, after we wound through the maze of halls and doors, she not only pressed the button for the elevator, she got on with me and took me to the second floor Area E. What a great BayCare Spirit!!!! I encountered the receptionist who was reading a book at her desk. She asked, "Do you have an appointment?" I replied in the affirmative and gave her my name and date of birth. She never smiled or acted happy to be there. She advised me to take a seat and went back to reading the book After seeing the doc he told to make an appointment to come back for a follow-up in 90 days. I again approached the desk where the book-reading receptionist was not welcoming at all. I gave her the information for the next appointment and asked if she was having a bad day and had lost her smile. She didn't respond and was very dismissive. She DID NOT have the BayCare attitude I always encounter at the other locations. Upon returning to the ground floor I was confused as to how to find the exit door. Asking another blue shirted BayCare employee for directions, she pointed and said, "down this hall." That was good, except there were no signs indicating the exit and I was lost again. Along came a young lady with a BayCare name tag, but no blue shirt. I requested direction to the parking lot and again, here was an employee withe the Bay Care Spirit. She asked me to follow her, and through the maze of hallways and doors, we arrived at the Exit. What a gal she was. I found employees that did know or just did not care that I was lost in the maze, and it was evident that they really didn't want to be there. Mentioning this situation to an employee in another BayCare facility this morning, she said, "I have a physician in that clinic, and the employees do not seem to have been schooled in the BayCare way of doing things." Mentioning to a friend who is a former patient at the clinic, she told me she left and found another clinic because of the general attitude of employees at Gessler. I realize that many doctors and other employees exited Gessler after the purchase of the clinic, but that's no reason for such widespread poor attitudes in the clinic. Someone at BayCare needs to go to Gessler and spread some happiness throughout the building, as well as a general understanding of where everything is. I would hate to be in that building if it was evacuated for a fire emergency. If I was there, they probably would find me as a "Crispy Critter" in the aftermath of the conflagration. John T

He was told he needed immediate surgery or he would be dead in 2 months. What does Baycare do??? They send my father home. Two months after the diagnosis my father ends up in the hospital suffering in agony. The same doctor that told him he would be dead in 2 months asked why he didn't want the surgery... which was not the case. That doctor then tells him the cancer is probably much worse. This is not how you speak to someone who has cancer and is terrified he is going to leave his family behind. Surgery was done this time around. He is to see an oncologist and has tried multiple times to get an appointment but no one is returning his calls. My father is dying and suffering terribley. How is this legal? Please know that all wrong doings gets covered up or doesn't get addressed properly in this facility now taken over by Baycare. Employees are treated poorly and have endure work place abuse. All steps were taken in addressing this issue but nothing was done. Patients have been given injections of medications that they have allergies to the doctor was made aware and the situation was just brushed off because this doctor is untouchable. Gessler clinic has amazing doctors but the changes made in that facility has not been for the better. They have made it so complicated for patients. It's sad and disappointing.

With my experience, Drs are very condescending, impatient & don't listen. Not here! With each visit, Amanda displayed such compassion, care, concern, empathy, patience, attentiveness & understanding. She took such care & concern & asked questions! Amanda actually showed that she cared, unlike other drs that i had experienced, & took the time to understand & diagnose the ailment. Each medical issue I had, she addressed & resolved with the correct treatment! There's no room for doubt or questions because Amanda is so thorough. She gives a whole new meaning to dotting ur I's & crossing ur 'T's! She was 'Johnny on the spot' after learning of my chest pains I previously experienced & did due diligence in addressing it.Without reservation or hesitation & with due diligence leaving no stone unturned, with compassion, care & concern, each medial issue was addressed. Now, I can off my medical concerns because of Amanda Waters off each of hers! Happy Thanksgiving Amanda Waters! Oh yes, I also give thanks to Chomyon, who fought tooth & nail with my insurance company! Chomyon never gave up & never gave in! Initially my insurance company refused to pay for a monthly mediation that I needed to take costing $450 month (with discount). Now, Chomoyn's due diligence & persistence, I am only paying $25! & Lastly, I give thanks for the entire TLC Team! With each visit, there was a smile, concern, compassion & attentiveness & a spirit of: "How May I Help You"! From friendly reminders to making appointments to receiving payments always with a smile & a patient & caring . Now...I almost look forward to getting sick! (Not;) They say, "Love Is A Healing Agent"...TLC Family Practice definitely lives up to its name! Thank you TLC Family Practice for showing me TLC! Happy Thanksgiving!
