Thanks to Jacob, the entire process was smooth and stress-free. He was responsive, patient, and an excellent communicator, guiding us step-by-step through exactly what needed to be done. Our daughter attended six consecutive Sunday classroom sessions and, despite some initial apprehension, ended up really enjoying herself. Jacob made the classes fun and engaging with group assignments, skits, videos, and friendly competitions. He even bought boba for the winners--which alone would have won our daughter over! As an added bonus, she got to know students from other schools. The one-on-one behind-the-wheel sessions were just as wonderful. Jacob's car has a passenger-side brake, which eased a lot of our fear and helped our daughter progress much faster. Over the course of the required 50 hours of parent-child driving practice, we noticed a clear boost in her confidence after every session with Jacob. It was also incredibly helpful that he took her on the actual test route the day before her exam, which made her feel fully prepared. Our daughter "passed first crack," and we couldn't be happier! To top it off, Jacob highlights his students' accomplishments on Instagram, which is fun and motivating. We were so fortunate to have found him--Jacob is truly the best!

I started lessons with him at the end of June, and by the end of July I was taking the Kapahulu road test. Before my lessons, I had very little driving experience, so I was definitely nervous going into it and honestly had no confidence that I would pass. But... I PASSED MY ROAD TEST!!! Cyrus made sure I was fully prepared for the test. He was strict when he needed to be, and always pushed me because he knew the actual road test would be even tougher. Every lesson was focused on helping me improve, correcting my mistakes, and building my confidence behind the wheel. Looking back, everything he pointed out during our lessons was exactly what I needed to know for the test. He's honestly a literal miracle worker! I truly couldn't have passed without him. The classes are online which can be a downside because the breaks were short. There were times my child "wondered" off so I had tell them to wake up and focus. It's a lovingly run, highly structured environment designed to help children become confident, independent learners and prepare them for elementary school. Mornings are a joy -- Mr. Kuni manages drop-off like a Formula One pit crew (in the best, safest and most cheerful way), and our daughter is always greeted with warmth and enthusiasm. Beyond a thoughtful academic and social-emotional curriculum, the school offers wonderful weekly enrichment activities like Soccer Shots, Math Music Motion, and Hawaiian music class. There is ample free parking in front or on the side of the building. The learning center is located past the food courts. The center is clean and welcoming. Covid precautions are in place with sanitizers and desk/stations separated by clear partitions. Staff wear face coverings. They currently offer both online and in person sessions. Mr. Chung is professional, laidback, and is a calm presence around students. He assessed my kids individually and came up with a plan to start at their level and take them to higher learning. He plans to work with them for PSAT, SAT, and ACT testing. He encourages them while expecting their very best. He and Mr. Koa have worked with both of my keiki and after only one session, they were ready to return the next day. We have had several sessions since and both have improved with not only their knowledge, but their confidence in their mathematical abilities. Pricing is great and they offer hours during the week as well and the weekends. But what sealed the deal was his display collection of Ultraman mini-figures! Shuwatch! Highly recommended.

I had my son here October 2025 to February 2026. There is so many things that were disappointing…read moreabout this preschool. My son got sick six times in four months. They don't disinfect very good. I also had an issue with Norma the toddler room teacher. She pinched my son's cheek and the bruise stayed there for ten days. I was sent an incident report home about it then I was questioned about what happened to his cheek by Norma the following week. I told her that's the cheek that you marked down that was hurt on the incident report. After that I was questioned four times back to back about every little bruise he got either from home or school. A health check only requires to be asked once to establish what happened but instead Norma was asking me at least four times with a look on her face like she didn't believe me the first three times she asked. I finally got on to Norma, the school director Ernie was no help, she accused me of being a racist ( I am a Spaniard btw ). I found that accusation very offensive especially considering history books. I do not recommend this school and the staff is very rude. Upon all that occurred I was owed 903.00 which I was told would be refunded to me by check in the mail which never arrived and it's been two months since this happened.

Mrs. Sala took her time showing us around, answered all our questions and gave us a package full of helpful information. During that tour the teacher of the Rainbow class, Miss. Sheila caught my attention. Her way of teaching was so fun! The kid's attention was fully invested on what she was teaching. The interaction was incredible! I was able to imagine my little guy in that class. Miss. Sheila and Mrs. Irma really helped us with our little guy's transition. They introduced him to his new classmates and help built up his confidence with time. As time went by we noticed his vocabulary had grown and he was soaking up everything that was being taught. He would come home singing songs learned in class and telling us all about what he learned that day. Now, he's in Mrs. Evelyn's class and is loving the transition. Mrs. Evelyn communicates daily with me about my son's process and what they worked on in class. She's very involved and cares so much about her little ones. I'm so grateful for all the staff at Honolulu Preschool for all their hard work. Their schedule is from 6am- 6pm. Due to my work schedule I'm one of the parents that drops off at 6am. I give 1 star because of a particular 5th grade teacher that has decided to target our son. From making absurd rules about taking shoes off in her classroom and banning jackets, forcing students to stay after school hours without prior notice, and incessant yelling and nagging, she's made the last year of Aina Haina for my son to be psychologically and emotionally damaging. My son who's never had issues in his prior years at Aina Haina hated going to school because of her. If you email her asking why she said or did something, she will never admit anything is wrong and brush it off with "there's been another misunderstanding....moving forward, I would like to focus on his education..." Worst 5th grade teacher. I hope she retires this year so no other child experiences what my son experienced.
