I am happy to say that I have completed my huge dental treatment, replacing a bad bridge with two crowns and an implant.

I visited both the Lutz and NPR offices and the staff at both locations were very kind and friendly. I even had a hiccup with getting my x-rays sent over from another dentist and they went above and beyond for me. I had my bottom right (impacted) wisdom tooth removed by Dr. Landrian. He was very kind and confident but also fast-paced. I found it overwhelming how quickly he was getting things done surgically however, I don't imagine I would have wanted it any other way, especially only being under local anesthetic. He narrated throughout the entire procedure, even checking how I was doing, which gave me comfort despite the way I was feeling. The dental assistant was so kind and wiped my tears when I couldn't control them . (Tears were not from pain). I highly recommend getting Exparel, a medication that is injected into your surgical spot to provide pain relief for 3 days after surgery. There is a little bit of pain/burning as it is being injected but never felt it after that. Exparel helped me tremendously in my recovery! The medications and recovery instructions were helpful and a great resource. It has only been 6 days since my surgery however, everything looks to be healing nicely and I find I am only having some achy pain here and there. Thank you, Mosaic!

I wish i had before I went there. i went in for a regular annual dental visit--checkup, xrays, cleaning--which i thought would be a breeze as I had no problems with my teeth. The dentist, named Katz, informed me that I needed a deep cleaning immediately, since i had periodontal disease. i said I didn't think I did. She told me my teeth were going to fall out and my bone had receded so much that they would not be able to save or replace my teeth. i was really scared b/c I had been told by relatives and friends that the procedure was very painful. in the end i agreed to let them do it. i kept asking the front desk employees how long it would take and was told 1 hour to an hour and a half. I was greatly relieved when the dental hygienist worked on my teeth for only 20 minutes without using any pain killer at all--and it didn't hurt at all! She the called in the dentist, who walked in, looked at my teeth for 30 seconds, declared she has never seen cleaner teeth, and walked out. i was confused, but SO relieved. A couple days later, I called my sister and asked her why she ad warned me this was going to be a long and painful process. When I told her it felt just like a normal regular cleaning that is usually free to me with my insurance, she said there is no way you got a deep cleaning if you got no novocaine yet experienced no pain, it was performed by the hygienist and not a dentist, and it only took 20 minutes. Then I called my brother, who has been a dentist in another state for more than 40 years and who has performed deep cleaning for periodantal disease countless times. He verified for me that I had certainly not gotten a deep cleaning. Then there is the matter of what I was charged for this phony procedure--they charged my credit cards over $1600 and billed my insurance another $1900. They tried to get about $3500 for a procedure that should cost a total of $1200- up to $1500 depending on the degree of the problem. i say "tried" b/c i have since called my credit cards and put a stop payment on them and filed a formal dispute. in addition, I called my insurance, who put a hold on paying them and is also conducting a fraud investigation. Next--I'm turning them into Medicare fraud and contacting the dental board for my state. People!! I see from Yelp that many have had the same experience that I did with Aspen, and for years judging by the dates on the complaints, but you didn't inform authorities! these people should not be in practice--and you should call out fraud or they won't be stopped. The icing on the cake for this episode--I called Aspen to inform them I was turning them in, and Devin at the front desk said "We worked on you for 4 hours". Astounding the depth and shamelessness of lying here. Please--even if this happened way in the past--call and complain to authorities. Insurance fraud costs the public billions every year. do your part to stop it. Mary H

Going in, I was hopeful for a good experience -- and Dr. Williams and her entire team exceeded every expectation I had. From the moment I arrived, everyone was incredibly kind, communicative, and genuinely caring. Even the associate who came in to review the cost of the procedure was delightful -- friendly, funny, and remarkably easy to work with. It immediately put me at ease. Bethany, the tech who stayed with me throughout the process, was outstanding. She explained everything clearly, reassured me at each step, and kept me distracted in a way that truly felt like having my own daughter there looking out for me. The extraction itself was far better than I anticipated. I'm sensitive to epinephrine in numbing agents, but Dr. Williams administered everything carefully so I never experienced the usual racing-heart feeling. The procedure was quick, not painful, and handled with exceptional skill. Dr. Williams talked me through each part of the process, and she and Bethany kept a warm, pleasant conversation going that made the whole experience surprisingly comfortable. They also provided clear after-care instructions -- both verbally and in writing -- and made sure I knew I could call with any questions. The level of communication, compassion, and professionalism was remarkable from start to finish. Given the circumstances, this was as positive of an experience as I could have hoped for. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Williams and her staff.

Everything went perfectly and I was able to eat almost right away (soft things first, of course).  In 3 days I was back to normal. They even straightened my crooked smile!   I highly recommend Dr. Danielle Williams and her staff at Florida Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of Carrollwood.     Sorry it took me so long to review, but I have other health issues.
