Lucky Root Tacos is a local taco food truck, known to use some French techniques in the creation of…read moretheir tacos. To find them, I recommend following their Instagram account. We were able to enjoy their tacos at Powderhaus Brewing in Garden City. Always expect the line to be long. They have a strong following of dedicated customers. Bring some friends, so you have someone to talk to while you wait. :) I'm a huge fan of tacos, and have been for a long time, so I've tried a LOT of tacos. We ordered all one of each of these tacos. They were all well-enjoyed, and I especially like their carne asada taco, snd I believe others at the table liked the smoked pork tacos too. The jalapeño poppers were pretty spicy, so try at your own risk. We like the salsas, but not a fan of the queso. Honestly, with how they use fresh ingredients, smoke their own meat, offering high-quality food, made with care about how they prepare it, I highly recommend them, but waiting in line for more than an hour can be a deal breaker for me, unless I'm in a group with a drink in my hand!

Local owner for this franchise of a FL headquartered chain of roughly 60 locations focused on…read morecreating charcuterie boards and boxes of various combinations and sizes. We popped in here to ask about options and the woman working the counter, mom of this franchise owner I think, was so helpful in answering them. A very good introduction to the business. We will drop in again to try a small box for 2 as takeaway to pair with a glass of wine as casual picnic sometime at a local winery. But in general we are like that couple in Portlandia, you know the "Tell us a little bit about your chicken" people (if you don't know the bit I'll post a link below because when it first aired friends said "This is YOU" :-) ) and so we are more Olympia Provisions for charcuterie and local cheeses types. As example, we eat a mostly plant based diet and when we do eat animal proteins we buy them directly from local sustainable practice farmers. Which is no knock on this business,as they use good quality products, she brought some out to show us when we asked and these are better than you will likely get if you're picking up grocery store or big box store charcuterie trays. We also appreciated that as they can they use local veg and fruits here when those are on the trays. OPTIONS: Sizes range from a single serving "cup" ($8) to a box to feed two ($12) to boxes of other sizes and trays of multiple sizes with the top end of that designed to feed roughly 10 ($165). Photo boards in the shop show how the options are put together and a display over the counter shows prices. They offer Keto board options, Vegetarian Board options, Luxury options, Sweet Treat options that include fruit and chocolate and so on. You can also find general menu at the main company link here: https://www.grazecraze.com/menu CONVENIENT LOCATION: for picking up your order because they have a private parking lot associated with the strip mall in which they're location. For 'orientation', this is in the same complex as The Local. Also convenient location in Garden City as there are at least three, maybe as many as five, nearby winery tasting rooms where one can bring in their own eats and the grazing boxes would work well for that. ACCESSIBILITY: Parking lot has accessible (aka ADA compliant) parking which happy coincidence is just outside the door of this business. Shop is all on one level. "TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR CHICKEN..." BIT: His name is Colin. ;-) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErRHJlE4PGI

We've been here dozens of times, always good, but not last night…read more I ordered the Carnitas with Mole, I've had the regular carnitas many times so I figured adding mole would just make them better. What I got was a lump of overcooked, dry, unsliced, unseasoned pork roast with the mole poured over at the table. I spent the first five minutes just trying ti cut and tear the pork baseball apart and stirring it in the mole. I kept picturing Chef Ramsey taking a bite, spitting it back on the plate and flagging down the waiter,. "This is disgusting!" You know meat is dry when you must drink something because it keeps getting stuck on the way down! What I should have received was seasoned carnitas that spent at least some time with the sauce in the pan. I had to stop it was so bad! If it hadn't bern Valentines Day weekend, and if we hadn't already waited an hour to eat because it was busy, I'd have asked the waiter for something else. When the waiter came to check and asked, I was honest, he apologized and offered to have them prepare something else, but by this point I was just ready to leave. The Manager came, apologized and took my dinner off the bill, the right thing to do. We used to live in Kuna, but now it's at least an hour drive round trip, so I doubt we'll be back. Maybe if we are meeting friends/family in Kuna, but just us, I don't think so. Time to find good Mexican closer to downtown Boise!
