Our stay at Koloa Landing Resort was an absolute DREAM! The room was clean, spacious, and offered stunning views of the ocean and mountains. It is no surprise at all that the pool was awarded the #1 pool in the US. The pool is designed with lots of corners so it never feels too crowded, and there are plenty of lounge chairs. In addition to the ambiance, every staff interaction we had was incredible, and made us feel right at home.

We stayed here through Costco travel so we got a good deal at a very nice resort. The rooms were spacious, nice and clean. There were three pool options and I was worried they'd be busy with children running around, but there's so much space and options, it wasn't hard to find a pool chair and have some relaxing time. I enjoyed the free towels that we utilized the whole trip. We loved walking around the compound. For people that don't mind a walk, there's a great beach only a ten minute walk away. Close to many cute shops and places to eat. The people we interacted with were always so nice. They have many free activities all week. We would definitely stay again, and being able to stay here with Costco is a plus too!

We came here 10 years ago for our honeymoon and the pools were just being built. Of course we had to come back with our two young kiddos so they can experience and probably ruin them forever on what a vacation in Kauai feels like. Hospitality is superb. When we arrived our room was ready quickly and loved being towards the back because it had quicker access to the pools and shaved ice. When you check in, each child receives a scavenger kit backpack filled with cute accessories and a map that they need to complete throughout the resort and in the end they will get a complimentary shaved ice. The holo holo grill food is incredible, especially their poke bowl, but their pizza was delicious as well. We went for breakfast there on our last day and boy oh boy was the French toast so flavorful. So don't hesitate, order from here!! The one thing I would be very careful with is making sure you take your time walking around. It does rain here and there so puddles do accumulate in certain spots. They have signs everywhere saying to be careful because you may slip. An employee even told me so many people have slipped even with the signs so just avoid those areas. They have mats scattered about but you can never be too cautious. I did slip and fall on my back, a guess came by to help me up but for a split second I thought the worse. I did report it to the hotel and just expressed how someone should be going around just pushing the water aside to prevent anyone falling. Overall though from that... our experience was delightful. The slides were a HUGE hit for us, and everyone enjoyed it of all ages. There is no lifeguard on duty... because the water doesn't go above 5 feet. There's a baby section where it starts off just above your ankles, then starts moving up slowly as you swim along. We did notice on the weekends that because no one is really watching around the older teenagers were jumping off the rocks and into the slide area making cannonballs which was scary if you have little ones nearby. We just moved along to keep ourselves safe. We loved the hotel store that sold breakfast burritos, acai bowls, etc and souvenirs that our kids were able to take home. This hotel wins best pool in America for a reason because you really feel like you are in another world. We can't wait to come back again and make more memorable moments with our family.

The entire grounds is breath taking. Beautiful scenery, multiple pools and huge grass areas to hand out. They have complementary volleyball, soccer and a putting green. The kid, friendly pool was perfect for our six month old. And the fact that they have multiple pools means everyone is spread out. Most people go to the main pool and the kid pool is fairly empty. Staff was very friendly overall I would stay. Location is also great. You're walking distance within multiple shops. Sure there is no beach on site, but there are a few options within a few minute drive.

Above and beyond! Great service! We only stay here. And my kids love it as well, this place is definitely our second home!

The resort itself was very nice! We were disappointed to find that "garden view" meant a view of the parking lot. Had we known we would've paid for a better room. The pools were amazing and the Holoholo Grill was very good! They offer poolside service which is a fun perk, too. The Nachos are delicious!! We asked for a late checkout but were told there would be a fee involved, however they waived it when we checked out which was very nice! Overall this was a great family friendly resort. The room was clean, bed was comfy, and the housekeepers did a great job keeping things tidy for us!

Dry brush treatment was invigorating! Can't wait to use it at home!

I had the most healing experience with Hope at Koloa Landing Resort Spa. I returned for another treatment because the results were immediately positive. Hope has the best menu of options like "dry brushing" which gave me the smoothest, silky-soft skin and such a boost of energy, like I was 10 years younger! Then, Hope gave me a deeply relaxing Lomi Lomi massage with hot stones and I went home feeling completely healed of all my tight muscles and no more joint pain. I loved the aromatherapy, too. Hope's superior skill level, and exceptional capacity to know exactly how to care for tight muscles, and her intuitive presence made the entire treatment remarkable with lasting results. Every massage with Hope is heavenly because she has healing hands, she's an angel on earth.

Tasty with crunchy wonderful skin.

We were there for a banquet. Easy parking, great space and wonderful food. Had a great celebration. Nice venue.

We had a great time staying here! This is definitely an awesome options for little kids and the pools were fabulous! We loved all of the staff and they were super accommodating.

The resort at night, just beautiful.

We stayed for 4 nights at the Koloa Landing Resort in Kauai, and just... wow. Simply put, one of the most amazing Marriott properties I have ever had the luck to stay at! We got upgraded to a two-bedroom suite, and the room was fantastic; everything was great quality and plenty of space for everyone. The full kitchen was great, and the welcome gift of chocolate-covered macadamia nuts was an awesome touch. We also had a washer and dryer in our suite, so that was a huge benefit! The pool was great (voted one of the best pools in America apparently, and never seemed crowded!) and while there was only one restaurant on property, the Holoholo Grill, it had a great selection of food - everything we had was delicious! It seemed that the resort is well kept up as well, with staff constantly cleaning and updating things. They were even doing work by one of the elevators while we were there, and the workers were super nice and respectful, even though we told them please don't stop working just because we're waiting on an elevator! Kauai was our favorite island by far, and the Koloa Landing Resort was a huge part of that. We will certainly be back to Hawaii, and Kauai in particular, and if I have a say about it, we will be staying at Koloa Landing.

Amazing resort, great amenities and great staff. Pool bartenders at Holoholo grill were more than amazing :Anthony, Curtis,Lamier &Dustin! They have us amazing recommendations for things to do and see during our trip. Food at the grill was so good, I think our favorite was the chicken bites and strawberry patron shots We came for our honeymoon and the fd staff came with a beautiful congratulations basket! We will definitely be back! Thanks Koala Landing for an amazing experience

Why Five Star? The lei greeting welcome when you arrive. The warm check-in at the reception area. The pool and grounds are spectacular. Our room was over the top amazing. Any time you run into staff, they are friendly and helpful. Well done Koloa Landing!

For the second half of our Honeymoon we flew into Kauai for 5 nights, and chose to revisit the Koloa Landing Resort as a sort of vacation from the first half of our vacation, and while it was rainier and windier than our previous visit, we still enjoyed our stay. We stayed in a one bedroom villa identical to our last stay. The villas are comfortable, and include a balcony with outdoor seating, full kitchen, dining area, living area, washer, dryer, shower and toilet in one room, and separated room and counter and sink with a bathtub. The beds are incredibly comfortable. The villas are probably some of the nicest I've ever stayed in. The Holoholo Grill located on site is still a gem, and the staff, particularly Nicky, and Dustin who we'd met during our previous stay and were pleased to see again, and Limar and Anthony who we met during this stay, really make staying at the Koloa Landing even more worthwhile. They are friendly, provide excellent customer service, banter, and drink, food, and even excursion recommendations available on site, and in the surrounding area. The villas really make you feel like you're staying at your own home, and the staff at the Holoholo grill make you feel like Hānai, or second family. We'll miss Kauai, the resort, but it's the people who make this place special most of all.

How much are cabanas?

$300/day

Is there in-room dining?

When we were there in August of 2021 room service was not an option. But you can call and order food from the bar & grille and bring it to your room.

Is snorkeling gear still able to be rented? If so, how much is it per day (nov. 2021)? Is there anything currently not available due to Covid (any activities/the gym/etc.)? I'm just trying to plan our trip accordingly :]

Aloha Vix - snorkel gear is currently available from our on-site activity hut located at the south end of our main pool. As of today, Oct 18, 2021, the price to rent the snorkel gear is $10/day or $28/week. Our gym is open and you can check our…

May 2021- Are the jacuzzis open?

Yes!!

Is the spa currently open (in May 2021)? I've tried to call a few times but haven't been able to get ahold of anyone.

Aloha Melissa - Mahalo for reaching out. I apologize you haven't been able to get a hold of…

Does this hotel have a private sandy beach?

It does not have a private beach, just the pools. There is access to many public beaches suitable for swimming.

Does anyone know what is included in the full day cabana rental?

In October when we were there it included a tv, fan, couple chairs and couch/lounger. A mini fridge filled with bottled water, fresh fruit and potato chips. Cabana was already stocked with towels and the waitress comes by often to get your drinks…

Is there a height requirement for the water slides?

48"

Can a family of 5 stay here? Are there rollaway beds?

Yes.

Is a rental car a necessity in Poipu?

I have one. But really. I think I could have done without. I guess it depends on what you want to do. I'm not doing the traditional tourist stuff. Rest and relaxation is what's on the agenda ! So my rental will mostly be parked!

Does the resort require wristbands for the pool and how strict are they?

I thought the wristbands were just for if you got towels. I didn't see anyone policing people at the pools for wristbands.

Does anyone know if they will store and refrigerate groceries I purchase until I am able to check in?

Yes they will, we went to Costco and stocked up and they will refrigerate it until you check in. Also the fridge in the room is full size :)

Does this resort have roaming cats? One of the photos had 3 cats chillin with a little girl on the resort. Will these cats be randomly roaming? Or were they pets of the guest? Thanks!

There are roaming cats at every resort that we've been to in Hawaii. They are all over the island. So are chickens!

Any updates on the construction? Our group has booked the 2br from April 21 and will be in the unit 9.…

Aloha Juraj! Our construction is complete and our newest amenities are now open including our new Main Pool as well as our HoloHolo and Poolside Grills. We look forward to seeing you! Mahalo!

The room keys in the form of waterproof wristbands are a nice touch. It was mostly adults staying here and very few families with children, which is what we wanted for our mini-moon. Cons: The parking is Valet only. The pool is relatively small. The chairs around it fill up fast when it's busy. If a pool chair opens up, you can't get your own fresh towels/chair cover and have to wait for someone to come through with a cart to swap them out. You can't access the beach directly from the resort; on a map it looks like you can access Kiahuna beach, but you actually have to climb down from the boardwalk onto it (I did not want to do this and walked to Poipu Beach instead). The food is expensive and the "happy hour" drinks are $19. Overall, it was a relaxing stay in a beautiful location!

The resort itself is a little outdated, but it's clean, functional, and perfect for a family. Got some supplies and got here around 1:30 pm. Surprise that they had our room ready for us. The lady who helped us was really nice. Check in was a breeze.thanked us for our loyalty and showed us the resort on the map. I was surprised that we were on the first floor. I usually like the top floor since you don't heard the neighbors as much. Plus when we got to the room it had rails in the bathroom which means handicapped. Which I don't like. The wife said t was fine so I didn't complain. One thing I am not to keen on is the wristband key card. Everyone knows that you are staying at the hotel which is good and bad. It identifies you right away to everyone including the locals. I always get mistaken for a local so this can be bad. So when away from the resort I put it in my pocket. The room was clean but seemed small than my other timeshares in Hawaii. We were here for only a week and just the two of us so I didn't bother. Notes about the room. The shower curtain was weak and didn't really stop the water so always water at the foot of the tub. There is only one mirror in the bathroom and no full length one in the room. The washer and dryer are a combo and take at least 3 hours for a load. You can't do 2 loads at a time. I feel like there isn't enough lighting in the room. Plus no night light to get around at night so you have to turn on a light which wakes up the wife. The resort was ok and the pool was outside our room. Pretty quiet place. No services at this pool. You had to go to the main Sheraton Resort across the street for a larger pool and food and drink service. Plus three restaurants are at that location but none at our villas. I guess they expect most people to cook in their rooms or bbq. They wanted me to do an owners update but I'm done with those. So they gave me some points and a free bag. Talked awhile with Antonio our assigned concierge who was very friendly. The beach area is very clean, not much debris in the sand. It is totally walkable. We had a great vacation and would come here again. I was on the first floor. Next time I am asking for the highest floor. I don't know why I got this floor as i never do. Too much noise from the neighbors and bugs. There was a cockroach in the dishwasher when we used it. Yuck. Plus everyone can see into your room. The higher floors are harder to see in. Much better. You can leave the curtains open and not worry like you do here . Less real light. Still a nice place to stay.

I checked in with a lovely woman who went over everything with me, the female timeshare presenter was very informative, and the various staff I encountered throughout the property were awesome. Plus, there was a nearby shuttle stop https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=48&select=wsdP73c5d5a8FmVU6PLJXA that took you into Old Koloa Town for a few bucks each way. Honestly, everyone I dealt with was amazing and treated me as if I were a king - mahalo! PARKING (Varied; N/A this instance) I had no vehicle, so I simply walked from my room. However, there was a nightly $40.00 fee for guests if they parked on the property, and there might've been some free parking along the many nearby roads and streets. Make sure to carefully read any posted signs. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A modern multi-building multi-story resort hotel with the obvious island motif, it featured Lava's On Poipu Beach and RumFire Poipu Beach for dining/drinks, an open lobby area, a garden view pool https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=VkSsTErYnauKWqCXyqxmtw for relaxed swimming and sunning, a ocean view pool https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=48&select=-lLO0aIh39wjMim-U41ebA for lounging, a business center for work, a tour desk, and so much more! I found some elements that showed its age and wear, so hopefully, they were actively addressing those. Plenty of natural lighting everywhere while numerous electric lights filled in the rest. There were TVs and background music in the restaurants with some daily entertainment on the grounds. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=m_V8o2h6lZwEAT16NAx8Fg ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Sheraton Kaua'i Resort Villas was a much-needed quick getaway that filled all the necessary checkboxes on how I traveled and would return. The biggest selling points were its location, the various amenities of which many I actually used, and that it was a Marriott brand hotel. Lastly, the entire friendly professional staff was awesome. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $2,500.00 BEFORE any discounts, points usage, and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

These units are all privately owned, so you may have a different experience with each unit. This review is specifically for #51. Directly across from the ocean, and the crashing waves will lull you to sleep every night. The unit itself is very well cared for, clean, updated very nicely, and simply the best location in the entire complex. The salt water pool is steps away, and the best beach ever is in front of the Sheraton, just a 5 minute walk. The sunsets are spectacular from either of the two lanais. Full kitchen, dining, laundry, etc. You won't need anything else. Both suites are upstairs with their own bathrooms. There is also a bathroom on the main level. My wife and I had our 3 children ages 14, 12, and 11 and we all had the time of our lives. Boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach toys are all included. Shopping and eating establishments are all a short walk away as well. I won't ever stay at a hotel again. We arrived at the airport, grabbed the rental car, stopped at Costco for groceries, drove to the condo, unpacked, and hit the beach. We cooked breakfast and dinner at the condo, but ate out for lunch. That'll save you a bunch of cash. The owner of this unit is the best, and he follows through on answering any questions or concerns immediately. Super service, super location. You'll be happy you stayed at Poipu Kapili #51. It'll be a dream vacation! I can't see anything being better than this unit.

The rental we had was nicely decorated and the AC worked well. There's a lot of lizards and other wild life around the complex but I think that adds to holistic, healing nature of the place. I would high recommend staying at this location.

It's a beautiful location that is right along the beach with amazing views. The pool was really nice and they have waitress service at the pool. You also have the pool check out stuff for both resorts. You get you beach towels here. They are different then other places. You just sign in with your name and room number. They don't check that you return the towels. most other places give you cards for the amount of towels you use and then when your return it used you get the cards back. The main restaurant is really nice and great food. I didn't get a chance to try the food at the main pool. We often walked along their private beach which was really nice. Most of it was nice soft sand. Great for walking along. Up front was the lava rock area . I tried to walk in there to see the tide pools but almost fell. I don't recommend it since the danger of falling. The one I did see was kind of neat looking. Along the beach is a great place to watch the sun set. Lots of people did and they have a fire pit with chairs around it to hang out. The place is really clean and wonderful location. I enjoyed our stay here. We stayed at the Villa side so I didn't see the inside of the rooms in this resort . I am sure they were as well kept as ours.

We booked the Deluxe Oceanfront Suite so my review pertains primarily to that room. Check-in experience was great - we arrived around 1 PM and the room was ready. Obviously the location is 5 stars, the resort is well maintained and it never felt as crowded as Maui so I would give that 4 stars, the room itself was also 4 stars - decently appointed but not worth $1k+ a night. If the hotel would be willing to solve their parking problem, this would be a 4 star experience. Sadly, they refuse to do that and, particularly their beach lot which happened to be next to our room, was always full during the day (empty at night) simply because they allow everyone to park there (the public lot is insufficient for the non-guests crowds at the beach). This could easily be solved but they simply prefer not to. Overall this is the better Sheraton option on the island - see my other review for the Sheraton Coconut Beach.

The parking lot would get full at times, but we were always able to find a spot. They have quiet hours posted, but honestly, noise was never a problem here. I'm sure they were busy and full because of the parking lot, but we rarely heard or saw anyone! They also have elevator access and luggage carts which was helpful for when we received our Instacart order. Located right on the ocean, we had a remarkable view of Hoai Bay and Prince Kuhio Beach from our living room/dining room as well as our Lanai. We enjoyed relaxing on the lanai, listening to the waves and watching for sea turtles, which was saw many! Locals would come to the beach to fish and even that was fun to watch! There's also a ton of roosters and chickens, and the roosters crow all day, not just in the mornings lol! We also saw thousands of rose ringed parakeets flying into the area in the morning and flying out at night! Showers and foot baths were located in the parking lot to rinse off prior to returning from the beach. We had to take our trash out a couple of times during our stay, and that was located at the end of the parking lot near the BBQ area. The staff was friendly, although our interaction with them was minimal. One kind gentleman on staff offered to take my trash for me and told me to go enjoy my day, that taking out the trash was a horrible thing to have to do on vacation! I only wish the facility had a pool, but based on the fact the backyard of the grounds in literally the ocean, I get why they don't offer that amenity lol!
