Sedona's Tree House (Sedona, AZ) - June 15, 2023 We rolled…read morein at about 11 am driving down from Flagstaff on Hwy 89A. The first set of parking spaces you come to are on your right. We saw a vacant space, so we grabbed it. It was right in front of a cool little art shop called Sedona's Tree House. Poking your head through the door is enjoyable in and of itself. It's as if you've met up with the Ents of Fangorn Forest (The Hobbit) and have been carried into a magical treehouse dream, with a giant tree climbing up through the middle of the shop. The shelves are cleverly designed from beautifully rough cut and masterfully finished planks held up in some cases with what seem to be branches growing out from under them. Hand crafted Kokopelli wind chimes, nature inspired table and wall art, and various artsy knickknacks of all sorts are beautifully displayed throughout this cozy little treehouse-themed shop. We ended up buying a beautiful sun-themed wind chime for only $25 that we're looking forward to putting up in our courtyard when we get home!

It has what I later determined to be the "usual suspects" of Southwest trading posts: Big picture books, cacti (real and artsy renditions), name-branded knives, mugs, tees, caps, rocks, banners, bags, and cactus candy (this will not be your last chance to get it, rest-assured!). It's a souvenir shop that doesn't feel like one. One of its unique traits is its affiliation with Keep Nature Wild Company: their shirts, tees, hats, stickers, etc., are prominently displayed. Good quality, acceptable prices, a faded look great for those spending time outdoors. And they promote and fund volunteerism and responsible outdoor recreation! They also have a section for the Williams Arizona-based Western Eagle Trading Company that specializes in Western-themed bags, towels, curios, etc. I also love one of their back corners, which is dedicated to the US National Parks, with everything from Smokey the Bear collectables to National Park Ranger plush toys. IMHO, you'll find two great Trading Posts in AZ: The Cameron TP and this one. I highly recommend going to both. Bring your wallet, you're gonna need it.
