This little souvenir shop is a worthwhile stop. They have many items that are unique and reasonably priced. Found a nice Sedona baseball cap that fit perfectly. The attendant was friendly and helpful, he made the visit enjoyable. Post cards, magnets, t-shirts, hats and so much more. Will definitely return before we leave the area. read more

don't look for "The Desert Rat" sign (and drive around in circles like we did) as its in the tourist info building... Lots of stuff, but wasn't impressed with the quality of the T-shirts. read more

Desert Rat Trading Post is currently in the Sedona Tourist Information building. We had to search since the only signage is the Desert Rat logo on the front window. The trading post is an eclectic combination of souvenir shop, tour agency, & local information. The concierge is friendly & will offer advice on local attractions & discount tickets. The souvenir section offers rough gem stone (which our grandson collects), crystals, stickers, baseball caps & t-shirts, native American ponchos - like I said 'eclectic'. Prices were okay but if you want to avoid the busy city center. It's much easier to shop here, once you find it. read more

They had some cool stuff, but if I walk into an establishment to spend my money and one person at the register looks at me then back to his phone and doesn't greet a guest means I'm not spending my money here... there was also another employee on the phone who said nothing to me and I was the only one in the store. read more

There was a super compassionate guy named Richard. He showed me many great things in the store to select, and he even gave me a map to show me about how Sedona, AZ works! This souvenir shop was close to our rental that offered t-shirts, hats, magnets, stickers, books, and candy. The shop was not bad, and Hubby and I were able to find some unique stickers for our travel collection. However, what initially brought us into the store is the window sign for Red Rock parking passes. We were directed to a concierge named Susan. Susan told us to buy the parking pass at the parking lot kiosk since none is available to purchase at the store. Susan gave some travel and points of interest advice, which we appreciated and found helpful. Susan told us that she can give us an open jeep tour for $29.00 for two rather than the normal price of $220.00, but she wanted to rearrange our travel plans. Come to find out that the catch is that we have to attend a two hour timeshare presentation at the resort she is peddling. Hubby and I walked away, as it sounds like a timeshare scam. This is a great store in Sedona with a great selection of items. Richard and his wife are incredibly kind and very funny. You really can tell that they are passionate about their business, and they are amazing and genuine people. They even offer a 15% veterans discount! You must stop here if you're in the Sedona area. read more
