This is where after years of being recommended by my best friend and her family go to see their chiropractor comes into play. I started seeing Dr. Rector and within the first day I felt results. The first appointment is a consultation which includes various scans to see what's going on with your spine and nerves and all kinds of fun stuff. Afterwards you discuss some things regarding your daily or weekly life and your physical past. The next appointment you will get your chart--or maybe the third appointment I don't recall. He wants to make sure you get the best life you can live and really listens to any questions, comments and concerns you may have. He even helps identify where spots on your spine may be affecting you which includes: anxiety, sleep troubles and memory problems. 10/10 would continue to recommend him =)

I developed a running injury that was not getting better. I left Dr. Kirby a message on Sunday, and they got back to me Monday late afternoon. I called them back within the hour and left another message. I didn't hear back from them Tuesday, so tried again and left a message on Wednesday that said something like, "hey this is my third message, please give me a call back." Got a VM two hours later that said, "we checked our caller ID and don't see that you called three times...." Um. Yeah. I still tried calling again. They didn't pick up. The receptionist called back pretty quickly and I told her that I was disappointed with the customer service because every time I called it went to VM and then most recently when I received a called back the caller questioned my integrity ("we checked our caller ID and didn't see you called..."). Instead of apologizing, she went on the defensive, saying their office is very busy and they return their phone calls within 30 minutes (which I know is not true because all my calls except this past have been hours or days later) and that they checked the caller ID and my number wasn't on there. I laughed and said, "I see. So you're calling me a liar." She said, no (but yes), "maybe you called the wrong office" I just laughed. But really. I just wanted to schedule an appointment.

After a nagging lower back issue that lasted for months, I went to see Steven for the first time and after two sessions the improvement was remarkable. My lower back issue was creating deferral pain down my leg and obviously the back was aching. After each session there was dramatic improvement. Especially after the second. My only complaint is that he doesn't take insurance. But I have been to other chiropractors that do, and their treatment wasn't nearly as effective. I'm going to regularly visit Steven to prevent the issues I have had.

She came home raving about the massage and the adjustment she got. Then, when I found myself with lower back pain I decided to try him despite the fact that he has limited hours and doesn't play the insurance game (can't blame him). I was first impressed with this virtual receptionist. You just logon to his website and choose your appointment right there. I had an appoint scheduled for 3 hours later and showed up. He was a very personable person and seemed to know his stuff. He didn't have a huge staff nor claim that adjustments would cure colds or itchy feet. A big part of his treatment is soft tissue massage before your adjustment. Never one to turn down a great massage I welcomed the treatment. He has very strong hands and fingers and will warn you to tell him about pressure. Dr. Steve is very up to date on technology. You can even pay with Apple Pay and he will email you the receipt, which you sign on his iPad. Good experience.
