Last year I entered the conference room at Stark Office Suites to prepare for my client meeting. I…read morefind leather chairs with stuffing coming out, the carpets stained, the entrance to the office air conditioning broken, in 90 degree heat. Eight years ago, I receive a letter stating I had "abandoned property" (which was a check), that was mailed to me at Stark, which I never received. This was not the first time I had missing mail. When I told this to the then site manager, Leni Frey, she replied, "You are the only person it has ever happened to." Not the response I expected, so I contacted Ben Blumberg and was given a locked filing cabinet and a note put on the cabinet directing my mail to be put in it. This past August I received an email from Robin Russ, the current site manager, informing me I have two Fed Ex envelopes. (these are contracts containing my client's DOB, social security number, address, contract numbers and amounts of money) I email back thanking her and ask they be put in my "locked filing cabinet," because I was leaving for vacation. I return from vacation and go to Stark to pick up my FedExes. Robin Russ follows me. When I open my locked filing cabinet, there are office supplies instead of FedExes. Robin shows me my FedExes and mail are in a communal cabinet, where anyone can access them. I explain why I have a locked cabinet, and what the FedExes contained, but she refuses to listen to a word I say. She then calls Leni Fry. I try to interject, but Robin waves her hand and dismisses me. And I pay money to be treated like this? I email Ben Blumberg, but Leni Frey aka Covello emails me back, "Somewhere along the lines over the years, the arrangement with your dedicated mail drawer was not properly communicated to new team members. When Robin discovered your mail in a separate drawer and was not able to see why it would be separate from the other mail, she thought she was doing the right thing by moving your mail to the other drawer." That is a lie, since the prior 4 months Robin Russ had been putting my mail in my locked filing cabinet and she received an email a few weeks before from me, asking to put the FedExes in my locked filing cabinet while I was on vacation. Leni then tells me she reviewed the footage and emails me this, "I need to be clear that we do not tolerate our employees being mistreated or disrespected." I asked to see the footage. She never responded. If Adam Stark or Ben Blumberg had reviewed the footage this review would never have been written. It was time to sever our relationship. Not until I asked for my retainer refund back, was it posted to my credit card. Leni writes, "although typically not done until 60 days following date of termination." After 11 years I receive no interest and then have to wait another 60 days to get the retainer refund back. Either Adam and Ben need the money, or it is another bullying tactic of Leni Frey aka Covello. Several times Leni accuses me of not returning the mail box key. (picture is me leaving the key on Robin Russ's desk, because Robin was nowhere to be found) If you want to be bullied, lied to and then lied about, Stark Office Suites is the place for you.

This review is for The Idea Kitchen in Larchmont, NY…read more All you need to know: A+ experience and value. Absolute highest recommendation to reach out to the Idea Kitchen team - Adam (owner), Ana, and Will are fantastic ambassadors. You'd be shortchanging yourself and your productivity not to consider checking them out if you need a local workspace. A few details: I visited family in Larchmont for August 2021. I grew up there locally, but now live on the west coast. My wife and I stayed with my family for a month-long visit, and needed a way to be productive for our jobs during this time. We both have desk jobs that require many video and phone calls. After some online research and a recommendation from local residents, I chose to rent an office at the Idea Kitchen for our time in NY. It was an incredibly good decision. The Idea Kitchen team, facility, and office delivered 10 out of 10 on everything you could want in a co-working partner. The space itself is fantastic: ultra-clean, spacious, massive windows/ well-lit, high-ceilings, and modern. It felt like many co-working spaces and offices I've seen for tech start-ups on the west coast. The security app and auto-access was convenient and easy - I had 24/7 access with the plan I purchased, which was fantastic to be able to use the space for early and late calls as needed. The entire staff was incredibly responsive, professional, friendly, and just made everything easy. From answering my initial questions via phone & email prior to committing, to helping me manage my account, to helping me navigate anything I needed when I was in the office (printing access, temperature control, etc.), the team was fantastic. One evening at about 9pm I mistakenly locked my phone & computer in the office. I called the after-hours number and ultimately Adam (owner) personally solved the issue so that I could get my items right away. In addition, the other members/ customers all seemed quite kind and community-oriented, while also driven to get their work done, so it was an environment that was conducive to being productive, as well as being motivating. Overall, it was an incredibly pleasant and worthwhile experience to spend my work days & evenings at The Idea Kitchen. I hope you're as lucky as I was that they have availability for when you are considering working there.
