Only reason I come here is to return items from Xmas that my family gives me. Today I remembered why I never come here regularly; the staff is isn't friendly. At all. No "thank you" for shopping; nothing. No smiles. People here look miserable. The selection of clothes here is simply okay. read more

I just went to return an Item from Amazon to their normal return desk. I then get yelled at that the 'return desk has now moved across the store by the kitchen' (wow, HOW convenient, NOT) So I get over there and they have a little bitty desk with a long line and some 103 year old lady doing returns. My god, WTH. Never going back to Kohls ever. read more

I wanted to share a great customer service experience. I tried getting the associate's name but I couldn't find him again. We went in around 8:10 pm this evening to find clothes for my husband for his Uncle's visitation and funeral tomorrow and Saturday. We are renovating and his nice clothes are temporarily in storage, so he needed something to wear. We made some selections and walked around trying to find a dressing room. We found an associate, a Hispanic male, that assisted us. At first he explained at and after 8:30 pm the dressing rooms close. There it was, a handwritten sign about the dressing room closure. We explained the clothes were for a funeral and he just needed about five minutes. He nodded and pushed the barrier aside. We thanked him and assured him we would be quick. Shortly after my husband started trying on clothes, I heard another associate, which I assume to be a manager, questioning why he would allow people into dressing rooms at 8:30 pm, reminded him of the policy, etc. I could tell she was giving him a hard time despite the fact he tried explaining the circumstances of our situation. I genuinely hope he did not get into trouble. I do not typically ask anyone to bend or break rules, however, since Covid it seems new policies and rules, adjusted store hours, on and on, pop up daily everywhere you go. It is getting tougher to be a loyal consumer. I say this because it was the thoughtfulness of the associate that stood out to us today. We were already having a tough day with a death in the family, and the Kohl's associate helping out my husband like he did showed me there are still people out there willing to go the extra mile in the name of customer service. To that associate, thank you for remembering today the two people you helped were people, not just another couple of nameless, faceless customers walking through the door. I returned an Amazon purchase to Kohl's in Topeka today and the clerk was not gracious or friendly. It makes me NOT want to shop at Kohl's!

Everything in the store these days is plastic and made by very low-paid offshore labor. If you are a family, Kohl's policies make it impossible for a husband to pay the account of a wife or visa versa. As WalMart carries essentially the same things and is willing to accept bill payments from family members without demanding tons of personal information, no more Kohl's for this Topeka family. I went online and saw a zero balance, but the bill that morning had a balance, just the act of trying to see which was correct, because I am not my wife, was met with a stone wall of the Kohl's anti-family policy. Never again, and I suggest you all find somewhere else to shop as well. read more

This Kohl's is pretty consistently clean and well stocked. Easy to get to off the freeway.

I don't enjoy shopping at Kohl's the way I used to. I agree with others who are disappointed with Kohl's cash having a limited time to be used. Also, they have a combined "all genders" dressing room. I got creeped out the other day when trying on bras and heard a male walk in and use the stall right next to mine. Eww. *shiver* One positive is being able to return Amazon purchases there, and receiving a discount coupon. But, again, the coupon is only good for one week! read more

I had not been in Kohl's for months until this week. I shop in women's plus size section and it was always a wreck. Felt like you were at a garage sale instead of a retail store. That was until I went this week. The section has been re-done and looks wonderful!! It was organized, fully stocked and a pleasure to shop in. I actually spent time there and bought 3 tops. I really enjoy Topeka Kohl's. The merchandise is quality, there are good sales and deals, the store is clean and tidy and the associates are nice and helpful. I also love it that they always have a good clearance section to peruse whenever I am in the store. Many, many times I have found things in clearance that I was not shopping for but have come to love having in my home or wardrobe! read more
