Checkout takes forever and to make a simple return is a chore as you have to stand in line with those making purchases. The workers are rude and act like you are betraying them by returning something. Also they constantly push the kohls credit card. Just annoying and makes me not want to go there. read more

My mom is obsessed with this store, her third time back today, and she is expecting to go tomorrow to spend her Kohl's cash. Th employees were uper helpful and organized in getting customer's through. There wasn't any long lines at registers and no one in line at the return section. The return section had a wonderful lady working. She helped us process returns and buy new items that fit my sister better. I love the quality of the jeans my mom gor for my sister, and their shoes are amazing as well. She bought long brown boots that were originally $80 for $30. My favorite thing from Kohl's are their warm and soft blankets. My mom always gets us some, and I can never have too many blankets. read more

I stopped in here on January 24 on my way home from Romeo to check out this "backup" Kohl's store. The shopping aisles were clear of clutter and I saw areas of Christmas clearance such as Hallmark ornaments and those funny cool gag gifts in the men's department. I used the ladies restroom which was clean and had plenty of soap and your choice of paper towel or hand dryer. The store was pretty much empty of customers naturally since there was no current sale. I did see my stop interesting to check out the aroma therapy oils and candle areas for clearance items along with the photo frames and albums 75% off. Bargain time for sure with these shelves stocked. I'm very happy to see that this organized Kohl's store is here for my backup benefit when I am looking for a "special item" that I can't find at the Lakeside Mall or Chesterfield Township store locations. If so Kohl's will "hold" an item for 24 hours. I did make a purchase which was a Misses long sleeve shirt on sale with hearts on it for my sister's January 30th birthday and a cute pair of valentine's day heart socks that I know she will enjoy and love to wear for the next holiday. * In January I bought my NUWAVE Air Fryer here as well plus on sale, used 2 coupons for a wonderful bargain and a great addition for my kitchen counter for fast, healthy cooking ! I can Always find a bargain at all Kohl's stores due to their great quality of brand names, sizes, colors and styles in all different merchandise. Plus when an item is on sale or clearance, I can STILL use my % discount coupon which today was the highest one = 30% off coupon. I have been a valuable premier customer with Kohl's since the 1990's. This store has easy access which is located on 26 Mile Rd. near Home Depot and Michael's. I very pleased this location is here near the M-53 freeway for a quick drive. read more

If for some reason you need to make a return or exchange- if quick, easy and uncomplicated. Truly hassle free. This location has a great staff of employees, willing to assist, if you need it. Always friendly too. They offer contactless pick up also. If you order online and they have it in store, they will bring it out to your car, in one of the designated spots. I went to kohl's today to return an amazon package and the young girl at the amazon drop off center was one of the rudest people I have ever met. I came up and asked a question and was completely disregarded and she made me feel stupid. She continued to harass me about a QR code that I didn't have at the time. I was then asked in a very disrespectful way, "did you even TALK to you mom before coming here??" at that point I was so upset with the way I was being treated I grabbed my stuff and stormed out. This women should not be working with an attitude like that one and someone needs to educate her about how to act. read more

Torn between 4 and 5 stars but chose 5! I was here earlier today because I had a coupon and just wanted to look around. This store is really clean, well lit, and mostly organized. They have a great selection of all different kinds of items as well! My only complaint is that a lot of the clearance area had labels for sizes but then the clothes weren't actually that size. That happens at a lot of places though so it didn't bother me that much. When checking out I had a really great and attentive cashier, you could tell he really enjoyed being there and it was refreshing! Overall, definitely one of the better Kohl's that I've been in. read more

This location is by far the most clean, tidy, and helpful stores in the state of Michigan. Before even walking in you could tell by the way the parking lot and landscaping was kept up that the inside of the store would be kept up as well. Every time I would walk in someone would greet me, whether it be a manager or a cashier. The way the store was organized made shopping a breeze. The clothes were all in order by size, which helps a lot more than you'd think, and the items I did wish to purchase were in stock. I even had employees walk up to me while I was shopping asking if I needed help finding anything. Now, I don't even know where to start when it comes to the employees. The employees were the friendliest individuals I've talked to in a while. After reading another review, I respectfully disagree; there were NO rude cashiers as far as I could tell. I'm pretty sure the lady who cashed me out was named Joyce. She answered every question I had, and made sure I was received the information I was looking for. She asked me if I had a Kohl's charge, which I replied no. She then respectfully encouraged me to open one, detailing the benefits of opening a Kohl's charge as well as the Rewards program. Although I was unsure at first she never pressured me into opening the account, which was VERY admirable. She even complimented the items I was purchasing and because I told her I got the last of an item, and wanted to purchase more, she told me whereabouts in the store I could find more, and sure enough I did! Joyce honestly made my shopping experience at Kohl's at fantastic. I've never seen such great customer skills, nor an employee who had a genuine smile on their face the whole time as opposed to a fake smile. It's obvious that Joyce is an asset to this store and company as a whole. Her phenomenal customer service makes it clear that she's essential to the store. Overall, the Kohl's store in Shelby Township definitely has their act together. From the parking lot to the smiles on the employee's faces, my shopping experience is what I wish every store could provide. It's going to be very hard to top the level of customer service and help that these employees provided. If every store worked as team like this store, businesses would be thriving and customers would be happy. This store deserves recognition. read more

Very frustrating encounter with cashier. Asked if I wanted a kohl's charge. answered all no. Asked again,again No. 3rd time No. started to ask me a 4th time. I interupoanz said "enough". She kept at it. AgIn I said enough. She then told me I was being rude. She was just doing her jo. .She would get fired if she didn't asking. Was finally able to complete my purchase. Worst Kohls ever. I tried to order on kiosk as the store was out of what I wanted. It too 45 minutes to get a customer server rep to assist as the kiosk was not working and then they tried to have me order it by phone and that hold time was going to be 39 minutes. Always a manager at the door to greet me, very helpful staff.....I even can use my coupons through my email by showing the clerk on my iphone! No need to print them out. They even acepted my expired bounus bucks cash. I thought all chain department stores ran the same! Not at this one....Love it! read more

From the subtle ambience to the elegant decor, Khols department store is more than a clothing store, it's a community. Clothes so soft they will give your hand knitted scarf from your grandmother feel like a coarse horse hair cloth. 3 stars, parking could have been better. read more

I am a huge Kohl's supporter and love shopping here. It is a real shame when employees can make your shopping experience one that you regret. I traditionally find Kohl's employees to be helpful and friendly for the most part. Kohl's clearly cares! Sadly there are a few cashiers at the Shelby Kohl's that are not honest and rude to top things off. To protect yourself and your pocketbook I would highly recommend shopping at the Lakeside or other location. I know that from now on I will be! read more
