Haven't been in Kohl's for probably 10 years I decided to go to the Kohl's in pickerington and they are very busy and I asked somebody in there why they said oh it's 40% off today if you use your Kohl's credit card or if you apply for Kohl's credit card I'm thinking okay great I'll apply for one I got three pair of shoes I go up front to the cashier I said can I apply for a credit card today and get 40% off my shoes she said sure so after about 15 minutes of answering questions and click this and click that and it went through no problem she said oh you can't get 40% off the shoes cuz they're brand name I said excuse me she said yeah we don't give any discount on brand name shoes so I politely ask for the manager the manager was a young woman didn't look like she was over 20 she was very snotty shacked it like it was a hassle to come up front and see a customer and she said yeah we don't give the discount on brand name items? Now I know why I haven't been to Kohl's in 10 years they get you coming and going so I guess I'll give you 40% off if you buy their junk but if you buy anything that's name brand you don't get the 40% discount the place was very dirty clothes thrown all over the place the shoe department was the worst I've ever seen nothing in the right place many boxes were completely empty nothing that they showed on the top shelf for the display was underneath where all the shoes were just very very disorganized it'll be at least 10 years plus before I go back to that cold store very disappointed and I looked at some of the other prices on clothes and stuff like that to me it seemed very expensive read more

Kohl's has consistently been a great place for my family to shop. Especially for my wife and kids. She's always in, picking up kitchenware, clothing and other miscellaneous items for the house. No matter what I want or need, she always has me wait because Kohl's offers some special, particularly for their Kohl's members. Using a coupon, in conjunction with their percentage deals can really help you find great items at greater prices. I'm particularly pleased with their shoe line, as I only buy NuBalance tennis shoes and they always have my items in stock and in wide variety. The store is always neat and has been kept in surprisingly good condition during the Christmas shopping season. This tells me that the management team and associates take pride in their appearance. Top it all off with a great Customer Service department and you have a store worth visiting. If you haven't been there before, take your time while shopping. Let's be real: No matter the store/location, Kohl's continues to carry the reputation of, well, a shit show. This Kohl's is in sync with this trend. Stuff is often out of stock in the store; and you can not trust their online fulfillment checking system - so many times their website says the product is at the store, and when I get there, nothing is in order, and most likely the associate I ask either doesn't care, or doesn't think to ask management. This third star is basically for the Amazon reruns station that's set up at this Kohl's. I can easily take my Amazon return purchases and drop them off, no hassle. Yes, sometimes the line can be quite long, but as goes the story for online shopping in this new era of covid. read more

I love Kohl's, but sometimes their clothes/organization is terrible.. wasnt happy with them on Veteran's Day, they advertised 30% off BUT their exception list was huge! No beauty, no sport equipment or clothing, no Levi...no Nike, no Adidas...etc. So disappointed, in a huge department franchise being so strict on what Veteran's can buy. Sears, Lowe's and Home Depot, offer is better for Veterans. The cashier was not very friendly or helpful on trying use all the coupons I had to use, not even my regular Kohls coupon I get thru email and mail.. she made no sense. I shop at kohls a lot! I also use their amazon return counter a lot. I went in to the Pickerington Kohls location last night 8/22/23 at around 9pm. The store closed at 10 but I couldn't get there until later in the day as I had a lot of stuff to do. I went in to the Amazon return counter with 6 items to return. Right away the worker was very rude. My experience started with me explaining to the worker that I had a screenshot of the return codes but I also had the links pulled up in case the screenshots didn't work. To this they responded "QR codes don't move". I wasn't quite sure what that was supposed to mean and it was said in a very annoyed tone so I simply continued with my returns. As I'm doing my return I get to the second item and the worker says "you don't need to rush, we're open until 10". I didn't feel like I was rushing and at that point I felt very uncomfortable. The cherry on top of the experience was when we got to one of the final items and the worker goes "The picture on that one looks ugly". This was an item I had simply returned due to sizing so I felt slightly insulted by that. Overall I feel like this worker needs a lesson in proper customer service language. I myself am a manager of a restaurant and have never experienced this kind of treatment from any establishment. read more

We normally come to this Kohl's to return our amazon packages. They recently moved their returns to the back of the store and now it's only staffed by one person. We waited for about 30 minutes to return one small package and the desk is right in the center of a shopping area. So the line definitely gets in the way of traffic and people have to ask to get through. This store is always messy when we walk through after the returns. The shelves are rarely organized and the clothes are all over the place. It's a big reason you don't see many people in the store unless it's a holiday. I can say that their employees are always super nice and help you out when you ask for a certain item. We have had only pleasant interactions with them and that brings us back into the store. read more

Despite the never-ending "deals" this particular location of Kohls is NOT worth your time! Every time we have visited this location in the last 5 years it has been in complete and total disarray. Displays are not maintained, and zero "F's" are given about the store's appearance, cleanliness, and/or orderliness! You would spend considerably more time digging through piles of unorganized merchandise and/or trying to get assistance than it would take you to simply visit a different location. This store reflects very poorly on the Kohls brand. It would probably be easier to close this location than try and both clean it up AND staff the store with employees that care. That being said... the young man (late teens/early twenty's black guy with a very sincere smile) who has helped with my Amazon returns on multiple occasions has always been very helpful, kind, and efficient! Okay so I know it's only a week or two after Christmas but clean up your store. I know you working retail but that's your job clean it up put somebody in it don't let them go home at night until it's zoned recovered that's the reason you work in retail you know it's going to get shopped and it's going to get shopped hard take care of your area clean,clean , zone, recover because when your customer comes in and it looks like this you should be embarrassed and the store manager should be really embarrassed because this gives you bad reviews and your customer doesn't want to come back and you can't find what you want so you want to take your business elsewhere... read more

This is about Kohl's in general. Not really about Kohl's Pickerington. Actually, Kohl's Pickerington helped me solve the problem, or rather, one patient clerk helped me. Here's the story: In January, I bought a pair of pants. I did not have my charge card, but using my driver's license, I charged it. I must change my address since I've recently moved, I tell the clerk. She directs me to the customer service desk. I tell them my new address. I begin receiving Kohl's coupons at my new address. A long winter ensues. I forget I bought pants so I don't notice the lack of a bill. Did I mention I am getting Kohl's coupons? Fast forward to June. That is six months later. Six months of Kohl's coupons. I get a phone call from Kohl's billing, from a terse woman who informs me that I owe $168 and some odd cents for pants I bought in January. Now, I know some people buy pants that cost that much, but I have never, ever, and never-ever will, buy pants much more than fifty bucks. No, no, I say, there is a mistake, never would I, etc. Oh, she says, the pants were $32 (yep, now were shopping in my neighborhood), the rest is late charges. Late charges? I'd never gotten a bill! Terse woman tells me they have had the bills returned and they had to **search** for me, with an **investigator** to get my cell phone number. Search? I say. Search? I am getting YOUR COUPONS. Oh, she says, that's sales, not billing. Seriously? I say something along the lines of how ridiculous, how the fact that one department cannot or does not talk to another is not my problem, and that I have no intention of paying any late fees. Terse woman tells me she will remove late charges but cannot remove interest (about $10), and I say I will go to the local store (here's where Pickerington comes in) to pay. She says, You could just give me a credit card to pay over the phone to save the trip. Again: Seriously? She cold calls me and asks for a credit card number? Not happening. I will go to the store. She says, you can pay online and save the trip. That, I say, I will do. But, I tell her, I do not have my account number because I do not know where my credit card is (moved recently, etc. etc.). Oh, no, she says, I cannot give you the card number for security reasons. Once again: Seriously? Let's review: The sales department knows full well where I am, but the billing department hasn't a clue. The dunner cold calls me, and expects me to give her a credit card number. I want to pay my bill but I don't have my account number. I cannot be given my account number for security reasons. Ok, so it is off to the store. I get to the customer service desk, and I explain I cannot pay online because I don't have my account number. The young woman says to me, No problem, I'll be happy to help you, do you have your Kohl's charge card? I just look at her. I say, Let me re-phrase. I need to pay my account, but I do not have my account number. If I had my Kohl's charge card, I imagine I would have my account number. She says, yes, that makes sense. Driver's license? she asks. Yes, here, I say. A few clicks later she says, Huh?, and tells me my account is frozen for non-payment. She cannot get into my account to let me pay. This is getting old: Seriously? She tries to call central billing or whatever, and could not get through. I call back the number of terse woman on my cell phone and start the explanation over, making it clear I am in a Kohl's store, wanting to pay but the clerk cannot get into my account. She says, you can pay in person at any Kohl's store. I say, let's kick this up to a supervisor, shall we? A half-hour or so later, I am allowed to pay my bill, and did not have to pay any late fees or the interest. A half-hour later, I am quite positive I am never shopping in a Kohl's store again. Kohl's business model lets me charge something with my driver's license but will not let me pay without the account number. If it were my store, I might do it the other way around, making it harder to charge and easier to pay. I would close my account, but I need the account number for that. But I'm not worried. This chain is not long for this world. read more

I ordered 5 furniture items; 2 of one item, 2 of a second item, and 1 of a third item. Kohl's sent me 5 of one of the items and now expects me to transport heavy furniture to their store or a UPS location for return (3 of the boxes were damaged, by the way). In addition, they want me to pay again for the items they got wrong so they can try again to get it right. I should have to spend my money again because they made a mistake? I should have to transport items I cannot lift because they messed up my order? And to make things worse, Kohl's only allows communication through email, and the email sent to me was rude. I responded to it, and I'm now waiting two more days for a response. #Kohls #BadService ***Update... Realistically I wanted to give this Kohl's a 1 or 2 rating but to fair the employees are very nice but the men's department is an absolute disaster especially the clearance section. Besides the overstuffed racking most of the hanger labels did not match the actual size in the garment then there were the piles of pants and shirts that were just short of flea market - and it wasn't just me, there was a young man shopping for a blazer and he said the same thing, the size on the hanger didn't match the size of blazer. This is a beautiful store, recently remodeled but kinda gotta wonder what the management is thinking. If you're familiar with Schottensteins or Value City, they were more organized. read more

The staff is friendly and fairly quick at the checkout. They have one employee (white middle aged female) at the return desk that is very judgmental about what people return and is slightly rude. I had bought pants this particular time and paid about $40 for them. The second time I wore them they ripped easily. Not the quality I expected for $40! The reason for the three stars though is because this store is always cluttered and a complete mess. It's general appearance is clean, but once you walk into the clothing sections (day or night) it is a complete mess and hard to look at things or push a cart. I asked one specific employee why it was so messy and she said that they had a huge sale (which ended more than 24 hours at this point). They hadn't gotten around to cleaning it up. Corporate should make sure they give their stores the appropriate resources for payroll and staffing to make sure this doesn't happen. It almost makes me not want to shop at Kohl's. read more

For those that have never been to a Kohl's it is like JCPennies used to be before they screwed it up; a have-everything clothing store that specializes in sharp but not designer wear. The kind of place the smell of leather hits your nose right on entrance. It is a good place for men to shop, as well as women, but I focus on men because too often we have a hard time finding a mid-quality store in a fashion world geared to women. So I suggest this place for guys that don't currently need designer clothing, but won't settle for the ratty racks at Wal Mart. Kohls is well organized and flows logically so you can get in and get out and get back to the game, the bar, the chair or whatever your passion. I go here for everyday jeans--some for work, some for lazy days that still has me looking decent in case I find myself out and about. They have mid brands from Urban to Levis. They are also my go-to place for inexpensive but quality everyday footwear. You can stock up on shirts here, as well as shorts and workout cloths. Of course, it's buy what you get-- meaning they don't do adjustments. That makes it hard when you see something you like but it doesn't fit--especially for odd measurements like myself--a 33/33. End the end this is a good place. The service is supper and the lines move fast. Generally clean, the space is comfortable to browse in. The clothing is kept up to middle class fashions and trends pretty much. read more

I was never a huge fan of Kohl's. They weren't busy at all today. Huge messes everywhere. A lot on the floor. They looked to have time to tidy up. A couple of employees I encountered looked like they hated their lives with a passion....all miserable. It sure is a sad world we live in where no one ever smiles. It's a shame. This is a terrible store. Very few garments are organized, except somewhat by brand, which is incredibly frustrating. The whole store is like looking through a clearance rack. If you find something you like, but need a different size... good luck trying to find it! Garments and merchandise can be seen on the floors and outside the correct department throughout the store. The few staff on duty are friendly, helpful, and seem to be hardworking, but clearly the store is severely under staffed. It is a mess and has been for some time. Kohl's used to be my go to store for so many things. Ranging from clothes for me and my family to housewares and everything in between. I went today specifically looking for clothes for me and I was so disappointed. The store was unorganized and the women's selection of dress slacks were all elastic waist and huge. There was no music playing throughout the store and it reminded me of a Kmart..... worse than Kmart actually. Needless to say I should have driven the extra 10 miles to a more upscale store because this one has dropped a few notches. I guess the 15% Kohl's discount for seniors on Wednesday is over. I tried to buy three items today and was told that the three manufacturer's items that I wanted to buy wouldn't honor the discount. I have purchased Levi's, Nike, etc before and received the discount many times, plus it seems very odd that all of these manufacturers would quit honoring the Kohl's senior discount at the same time. But, I was told I would get a discount if I applied for a Kohl's charge card. Guess that is ok with the "manufacturers". Ask for an explanation but I got the "I just work here routine". I spend a lot of money at Kohl's or at least I did. I will not go back. From the looks of these reviews on this site I am not the only dissatisfied customer. I don't think they will miss me as they have enough non senior customers who are satisfied with the daily, weekly, monthly sales and multitude of coupons. This place is a great place to shop. People may have given bad ratings because they themselves make the store horrible to shop at. Customers see associates working and then like roaches they mess everything up. Associates are never appreciated. Customers are slobs! Advertised open til 10 pm on Memorial Day. Son got there at 9:42. Was shooed away from the door. The kid worked until 9. Came home got his kohls cash and went straight to store to find out closed early. Integrity is everything people. Shooing customers away from the doors is not it!!! read more

I really like shopping at Kohl's because this is where I can find a pair of Levis, Nikes and really nice boxers by Croft & Barrow. They have a nice selection of everything a typical Kohl's would have. I really liked there sales racks with 50 to 70 percent off , but it seems like there is a lot less to pick from at this Kohl's. I always go right after and before the season closes to look for bargains. I always seem to walk out of there with at least one shirt at 70 percent off . If you get a charge card from Kohl's you can get really good deals like 10 to 30 percent off your bill, even when things are on sale . They send you a coupon in the mail every month. I have got a pair of Levis for 25 bucks when they were on sale and I had 30 percent off coupon. Wow, what a steel. I do seem to spend a lot more when I get the 30 percent off. When you use the coupon that they send you every month, you have to use your Kohl's credit card for it to work. I just paid it off that month when the bill comes so you don't have to pay interest. It's a little bit of a hassle, but I save hundreds of dollars per year on Clothing and shoes. read more

Let me preface this by saying that I generally try to put myself in the shoes of shop owners and employees before making critical judgements on an establishment. That being said, this has got to be the sloppiest Kohl's store that I have ever been in. I've seen other stores that get messy around the holidays or during major sales, but this place is a wreck every time I go in. Clothes stacked too high on the shelves are falling over or leaning into other piles. Clothes and household items misplaced on shelves all over the store. Clothes stuffed so tightly into racks that you can barely get items off of or back onto the rack. The employees that I have encountered have been generally friendly and don't appear to be goofing off, so I assume that they are either understaffed or otherwise mismanaged at the local or regional level. There are other Kohl's stores in the area that are a much more pleasant shopping experience. read more

What I love about the Kohls store in Pickerington is the staff is SOO very helpful. It is a very large store and the staff works hard to attend to the customer. The store can be cluttered at times, but I believe it is because they put the customer first. They will stop folding to help you. Store is a mess. Clothes in the floor. Women's dressing room full of clothes and smelled horrible. The two shirts I bought I had to exchange, but the customer service woman could not figure out how to exchange two items that were not the same price. She kept sorting the clothes over and over, then declared 'an exchange is an item for an item'. I counted for her: one, two shirts returned and one, two shirts purchased... she just didn't get it. The woman had to return the first and then I had to buy the second. This ineptitude caused me pay $10 more than I should because I lost the Kohls cash I used to purchase the first two, if you exchange items this does not occur. I had been a loyal Kohl's customer for years. This location in particular is awful. It is dirty, clothes are unfolded and on the floor and the staff is uncaring and unhelpful. I downloaded the store app and was thrilled to see that "pick up in store" was an option to save shipping costs and shopping time. I have now placed three orders to pick up at the store. Each time, I have gone first thing in the morning when the store opened at 7:00am to pick up. Each time, I was the only car in the parking lot and I believe the only customer in the store. Each time, I was waited on by "Peggy" at customer service. Peggy has completely ruined my day all three times. She has no idea how to do a "online order". Worst of all, I once asked her when I would receive my "Kohl's Cash" for a previous large purchase she she cut me off and said she has "nothing to do with that" and I needed to CALL customer service. I was STANDING AT CUSTOMER SERVICE! So I went out to my car, called customer service, spoke with a lovely non-English speaking gentleman, and he emailed me my $30 from a previous large purchase. He instructed me to go in the store and return my latest purchase and re-buy it with the Kohl's Cash. Once again, I was waited in by Peggy at the Customer Service desk and she was now extremely rude. I explained in a friendly manner that I had just called, blah blah blah and wanted to return and re-purchase my recent purchased items. She huffed and puffed and said "well I hope you have everything ready and your email all set because I am very busy and have customers waiting". Again, it was no 7:20am, I was still the only car in the parking lot and there was NO ONE in the store. Peggy does her thing and when it came time to scan my emailed Kohl's cash I had to unlock my phone (takes 2 seconds). While my fingers were moving Peggy snorted at me AGAIN and said "I told you to have everything ready Im busy". I wanted to walk away and leave. Seeing as though it was Christmas gifts I needed I couldn't. I went home and tried to call/email/smoke signal to Kohl's Corporate Customer Service and received a petty email back that my issue was being looked into and I would be contacted. Nothing ever happened. I deleted the Kohl's App, and my Kohl's Cash, and will never shop there again. You can thank Peggy. read more
