This was almost going to be a zero-star review--as I had so much trouble trying to return 2 pairs of shoes purchased online on my Visa credit card. I will not go into the long, long story (3 hours of my time altogether), but I thought I would try one more time and stopped at Kohl's this morning. Well, Koffi, the manager on duty took care of it. I told him all the trouble I had-- he tried returning each pair of shoes separately, which the other manager who tried last week never did. That manager had told me to call customer service-- I did -- they told me to go back to the store-- try another store-- so I went to Warminster-- they couldn't do it either. So-- Koffi saved the day! Sometimes the efficacy of a leader is the ability to think outside the box and try other solutions. Koffi did this, and I am grateful. Let me start by saying this. This was by far the worst experience I ever had with kohl's. I went to exchange an item but they didn't have the merchandise.The store is completely messy and disorganized. At this point I wasn't able to use the Kohl's cash that I earned because I wasn't able to exchange the merchandise. Also I wasn't able to use the 15% coupon that came with it for two more days . This coupon policy is also completely inconvenient. If I could give no stars I would. Looks like I won't be back to Kohl's in a very long time. read more

Let me start this by saying - the staff here is LOVELY!! (At least since they got rid of their one manager who was incredibly mean). Other than that, this place stinks although it does appear to be nicer than the other times I used to shop here. They remodeled (again?) and so it looks nice. For the most part the store was well kept as well. I didn't visit the dressing rooms on my last visit though and that was where most of the problems occurred because I never would see anyone working the fitting rooms. Clothes would be everywhere and their reshoot was out of control in almost all of the fitting rooms. Our cashier was nice, the lady dealing with order pickups was super nice even though the customer ahead of us was RUDE. She handled herself really well and still managed to be nice to us. There customer service center is awful though. The setup makes no sense. They have one side dedicated to returns etc and one side for order pickup. But the order pickup side leaves you no room for a line. Only one person can fit in the space in front of a register and then everyone else is left standing by the front doors and then there is much confusion as to which line you are in etc. basically I don't like Kohl's as a company. It's awful. And the staff here are so great considering nothing about their store makes any sense. Also having not shopped here for YEARS it's really hard to understand how to shop here - coupons, Kohl's cash, reward cards - like you're doing way too much and it is very confusing. read more

At 4:30 in the afternoon there is one register open with 8 people in line. Register asked for assistance and no one shows up. Where is everyone? Where is the management? Very poorly run store. read more

I went in to purchase a ring. The jewler sold me the ring but neglected to tell me that the diamond was broken in 3 places. Witch last time I checked you can not sell a chipped or broken diamond in the state of pa without disclosing that information. So after almost having to postpone my engagement dinner, and 700 dollars later to replace the diamond so I could get the ring insured. I've been given the run around by customer service 3 times now. And once they reached out to "fix the issue" they stoped responding. Guess they thought saying hello would shut me up. read more

#kohls unfair business practices. I've been a customer at Kohls since 1997. It used to be if you had any expired Kohls cash, you could still use it. I learned this from a sales clerk when I mentioned I had tossed out Kohls cash. She told me that although the certificates are dated, they never expire. Since that time I didn't pay much attention to the dates. Unfortunately, they have changed the policy without letting customers know in June 2015. Can you believe that they didn't even let their customers that have charge accounts with them know about the change? Imagine the embarrassment when I went to the Kohls in Doylestown and presented my Kohls cash for partial payment and it was refused. I can't begin to tell you how upset I am. I called customer service when I got home from the store. They refused to help resolve the issue. I am going to tell my friends, family and students about Kohls unfair business practices. They should have informed their customers about the change and given them a date when the new policy would start. BTW--The sales clerk and the store manager were very snotty. read more

I have shopped at this store for years, but after today's experience I don't think I will ever go back to this location. I fully understand that businesses are short-staffed and stress is high during the holidays, but that's no reason to speak to customers the way I was spoken to today. While waiting for a customer service representative to approach the desk a woman got in line behind me. The customer service representative then came to the register but did not acknowledge me standing there. She started a conversation with the woman behind me to address her needs. I assumed she thought I was being helped by someone else since she didn't even acknowledge me, so I mentioned that I had not been helped yet. By me letting her know that I had not been helped yet, the customer service representative started shouting at me "don't you be comin at me like that." I was in complete shock at her confrontational behavior and all I could do was repeatedly say "excuse me?" She kept shouting at me about not helping me and telling me I was "comin at her". This location desperately needs to be retrained on customer service skills. The manager was within the same space and never stepped in, just walked by saying "you ok?" to her staff. Another employee at a register was behaving the same way with a customer shouting at the customer "don't come at me like that". I believe that to work in a customer facing industry employees need to be pleasant, acknowledge customers, greet people, and be able to maintain their composure even under stress or difficult situations. This was not the case at the Doylestown Kohl's today. read more

Amazing deals, but the store needs to train their employees to have some manners and organization could use some work. Prices are hard to find and while there are "sale screens" everywhere, it's hard to find the match between item and sale. When I got to check out, a sales man came up and helped me put the huge chest i was purchasing up on the checkout table. Then I was immediately harassed by him and the check out lady to sign up for a Kohls credit card. After politely declining multiple times, they kept pressing how much I could save and that I didn't even need to be "approved" and if I did get approved and didn't want it could just cancel. I finally told the lady "no thanks, I hear that messes up your credit" and she replies "it's only about 1 point". I stood firm and she rolled her eyes and said "ok well it's gonna be more expensive now". I left fuming at her rudeness! I paid and went to leave as the male salesman watched me struggle with trying to open the doors and carry it at the same time. I cant believe people that rude exist. read more

Rude cashier and manager, David, is the worst. He stands like a soldier at door and stares down the customers that come in. He does not smile or welcome anyone who comes in. I specifically saw him ignore and older gentleman who was trying to be friendly and joke with him. It was such a shame for that older man who walked away embarrassed. read more

The main reason I'm writing this review is because of the customer service at the jewelry counter. Bought some low-price jewelry, and wanted a gift box, but forgot to ask for it when I was at the jewelry counter. After checking out, I went back to the jewelry counter and discovered the two sales ladies working on watchbands while 10 or 12 other customers were standing around waiting to be helped. So we waited a bit, and a bit more, and a bit more. Still working on watchbands. I got tired of waiting and left. Seems to me that the store should either put more counter help on staff, the two that were there should have asked for help, or the sales ladies should have asked the people with the watch band problem to come back in a half hour or so. They have had problems with long checkout lines in the past, but they seem to have fixed that the night I was there. When the line got long they put more people on the cash registers and the lines dissolved pretty quickly. So, take your chances. I found some good deals on closeouts, and more good deals where things were marked down 50-60%. When I went to check out, they had no gift boxes for clothing at the checkout, or anywhere else in the store. Bummer. Now I'll either have to provide my own or come back with my receipt when they restock. read more

I don't know about Kohl's but their price is so low, their merchandise aren't bad and their marketing makes you keep on coming back, ie. On top of all the sales of sometime up to 60% off, for every $50, you spent, you get $10 in paper that you can spent on your next visit... It's like a vicious circle that will never end...because nobody want to waste $10, $20 or more... Silly me! read more

Summary... poor customer service from beginning to end... To be clear, the only reason they are getting two stars is because this is hopefully ending in an amicable solution... Today, we went to the Kohl's store on Rt. 611 in Doylestown to spend the Kohl's cash we earned throughout the holiday season. We started with returning some items for merchandise credit (a very important factor). After spending much time finding the items we wanted, we went to the checkout only to be greeted by a person that in no way seemed happy to be there. We get it... it's the day after Christmas... I don't expect chipper but a hello would have been nice. Before we could explain that we are using a merchandise credit, she begins scanning the Kohl's cash... We had $50 worth. She holds one up in a very flippant manner and says... "You already redeemed this one." To which we replied that we didn't. She turns the screen, points her finger at the screen and says it was redeemed on 12/26 and the reason it was coming up as redeemed was because we had a return. Again... two important details... a return for merchandise credit and 12/26. By this point her dismissive demeanor has me responding in an equally ignorant tone. Not helpful nor my best self, but we (the cashier and I) are human. However, customer service is part of her role. She asks another person, whose role is still unknown, to come over and "explain it to them". She begins with your Kohl's cash is redeemed when you do a return. Again we explain that we returned for merchandise credit to be used in the same store. As the second employee (hopefully not manager, although that explains the rudeness of the staff if she was) looks at the screen, she says you returned something on 12/20, NOT 12/26 as initially stated. Well that changes everything... OK... fine...we don't agree with it, but thank you. The reason we didn't agree we couldn't articulate or substantiate at that time. When we returned home we did some math. The Kohl's cash they claimed was redeemed due to a return was earned for spending an initial amount of $93. The returned item was for $28. The difference is clearly more than the required $50 minimum. We went home and called customer service. At first they tried to claim it was because the item was part of a 30% off promotion. Even with that extremely inadequate response, the amount would still be more than $50! Finally, the customer service rep said we were right but the only thing he could do is give us a reference number for $10 off a future online order. I understand... computers and POS make mistakes... but a little bit of effort on behalf of the second employee would have allowed her to see that the computer made a mistake since we had all receipts readily available. Additionally, if the cashier was clear from the beginning and didn't state it was redeemed on the 12/26, had some semblance of caring and didn't treat us as if we were the ones solely responsible for her not being able to go home, this would have not have been as big a deal. But the combination and the treatment of customers as if they are stupid, especially in the end when the company expressed that said customer was right, is totally unnecessary. I have shopped at Kohl's for many years and have had many positive experiences. None of them have been as bad as this. But none of them have also been so exemplary either. read more

After trying to purchase a product thru the kiosk numerous times I was asked to go to customer service and call in about my kohls charge, I was told my charge was good, no balance, I wanted to update my information, the girl was less than enthused to hear this. before I had a chance to ask her if all was updated and if I could use my card at the kiosk again she disconnected the call. I went to the kiosk again, to no avail it kept saying wrong or missing information. after about the 8th employee came over, she flipping said to me Well your card expired in 2001!!! I said where do you see that, she said right there, pushing my card into my hand, it said It says I was a member since 2001!!! she walked away, no apology no nothing. Finally the manager came over and another woman and the woman figured out that for the kiosk you need a more updated card with a digit code on the back. you could only purchase this item online, and from then kiosk to get free shipping. then after all of this the manager had the nerve to ask me I had another form of payment, I said yes BOSCOVS!!!! and I left the store. read more

Stop here tonight on my way home from Jefferson Hospital to purchase a gift for my sister that was diagnosed with a brain tumor yesterday. I would have gone anywhere else but at after 9 pm they were my only option in Doylestown. When I approached the checkout a saleswoman was standing at a register so that's where I went. Without addressing me she went to another register. She turns towards me and says. I'm over here. I have just spent 18 of the last 24 hours in a hospital with my sister ( wonderful nurses, by the way). I am exhausted but determined to make my purchase. The woman starts ringing me up without addressing me. She then starts talking to her co worker at customer service about her break. That's when I lost it. Started screaming at both of them to do their jobs and asked for the manager. She arrived and apologized. She offered to finish the sale. I let her. As I was leaving with my mom, my mom spoke to our original sales woman (definitely not a lady) and told her to be kinder to people because she doesn't know what they are going through. Again attitude. That's when I flipped and the manager asked me to leave. What has happened to customer service? No wonder that store is always open and empty. Take a lesson from a customer service leader and be like Chick-fil-a. Don't ever shop here. I will make it my mission to see this store close. I am sure Amazon will help me! read more

Working In retail I know how you should talk and act towards customers. The lady with the short brown and glasses wAs one of the rudest cashiers I've had. I tried to find out more about what was happening with all my discounts and personal information since I have a right to know where it is going. When I explained that I was confused she just looked at me and said "what is there to be confused about it's not that hard." Finally when leaving instead of saying "have a nice day" she shoved my bag towards me, cocked her eye brows and just walked away. Terrible customer service. read more
