Chill to go if you don't like talking to people but the cashier (Avery[??]) was rude. Was there to return something from Amazon and stopped to get some clothes. I get that it's been a long day, but there's no need to be rude. Take a 5 and get that 100 yard stare out and calm your voice. Ain't no need for yelling when a couple of questions are being asked. I mainly use Kohls for Amazon returns, so that's what this review refers to. There is always a really long line at the customer service desk, where they also process kohls returns. There's usually one person working and a long line held up by one person with an outrageous amount of returns all on different cards, receipts, etc. It's not Kohls fault, but Amazon QR code returns are meant to be efficient and every time I try this location it's so painful. I will be going elsewhere to make Amazon returns and recommend you do the same if coming for the same reason. read more

This store was terrible. No one smiled or greeted you. I thanked a gentleman who brought an item my father purchased and he did just ignored me. The woman in returns and picking up items had the body language of "not wanting to help or not interested" resting her fist on her cheek and having a look of I'm not interested". This is terrible service! I work on customer service and know how frustrating this time of year can be. But you're their to help people! Horrible! We will never shop here again! read more

Last weekend, my friend and I were stuck in Cottage Grove racing RC cars with our boyfriends all day, and we were in much need of some girl activities...so we decided to zip over to Kohls for some retail therapy. We only had about 30 minutes before we had to return to the race, so we had to shop and try on fast. We discovered the juniors clearance racks, and wow, there were some really good deals! They had all kinds of shorts on clearance for $3-$4 and pants for $9-$10. I've recently lost a ton of weight, so none of my old clothes fit anymore. I found a few staple items here to replace my old threads with, and I walked out with a cardigan sweater, 2 pairs of pants and a very fashionable top that was on sale all for just $50!! Plus, for spending $50, I got $15 in Kohl's Cash, so it was a stellar deal! I'm not sure if this location has a lot larger clearance racks because they aren't as busy as the stores in more populated areas, or if I just lucked out. But I would certainly recommend stopping in to see what kind of deals you can find if you're in the area! read more

Rhonda is the rudest worker I have ever encountered, I will never shop there again, I was shopping for my Grandmothers funeral and was denied to use my fathers kohls card, I gave them my ID and as normal our names matched up. I said I could Face time my father and show his ID matched up to mine, she proceeded to make a big deal out of it, so I then took my my mothers card, which also had the same last name, and she allowed that because it wasn't a kohl's card. we than went in after we had left to get her name, and found her talking rudely about me to other co workers. I called the Kohl's in Cottage Grove about my Aria Scale that just quick working, I called the store and an associate named Maria helped me out, and was kind and pleasing, even though I was unable to exchange the Aria due to it being over a year. She apologized and was so pleasant (she did not need to apologize but she was just so kind) I just wanted to let people know how nice she was. read more

There is a reason why my wife does the shopping. I work in finance and handle the bills. She's the creative and patient one that does the shopping. Now grant it this is the first time I have been inside a store that didn't sell food or food products since the cell phone was invented, I still felt I should share this experience. Now in the nature of full disclosure my shopping did start from my favorite place to shop, my recliner. My wife's birthday was coming up so I took this opportunity to purchase some items from the store that they all know her by name and she has her own parking spot. I placed my order and planned to pick it up the store when it was ready. So here is where the trouble starts. My wife and I carpool. Drive just about everywhere together. Going to Kohl's with her in the car just wasn't going to happen. I did have sometime the next week in the afternoon that would work to pick up her items. The day before I was to pick things up I got an email stating that if items were not picked up that day, they would be returned. (I had also received other emails). Being a proactive person I called the store and spoke with a nice lady named Kerry who helped me. She stated her system was down but would make a note that I would be by the next day. The next day I got off work early and headed over to Kohl's. I went back to customer service and was told they could not find my order. Kerry happen to be there who said she did make a note which another employee confirmed however they still could not find my order. After some looking around they concluded that their system didn't accept the extension after their system came back up. Another lady checked in back and still was unable to find my order. She offered to go through the store and pick up all my items. She returned a few minutes later and asked if she could check me out. As we began the process she asked me to verify the prices off my order and stated she would make sure I had the lowest price. As she concluded my order she stated she was going to take an additional 20% off for my time and understanding. I felt this was very generous. All told I was maybe in the store 15 minutes. Usually when I go into a store I'm on a seek and destroy mission. Go in and target what I need and get out. I left the store with all my goodies, my buddy didn't know I was there, and even had a good experience after a minor snafu. Even though this turned out well, I still prefer to shop in my recliner. read more

Bought a King size mattress pad 2 weeks ago from them. Today I washed/dried it (according to the instructions) and it developed a tear along one of the stitching's. I've heard great things about Kohl's return policy so I went in to exchange it. I had all the packaging materials still. They didn't have the exact same kind, so I grabbed one that was $10 more thinking maybe I could just pay the difference. NOPE. My $89.99 mattress pad apparently is only worth $18 in exchange since I don't have my receipt and paid in cash. Apparently I'm SOL because they don't have the same one in stock. read more

This evening I was shopping at the Cottage Grove, MN Kohls location. As I approached the checkout, I asked the cashier if she would be able to honor the coupon I forgot. I let her know I would be using my Kohls charge, and if that was not something she was able to do, I would be more than willing to stop back in. I myself am a retail store manager in Mall of America and after a long day of working myself, forgot to grab it off the counter. On ONE other occasion I had forgotten a coupon, and at that time the associate told me it was no problem since I was using my Kohls charge, and you would always be able to honor them. From the other side of the check out, a women bellowed at me that the store had scratch offs and they could not honor the coupon. I let her know that I understood, and that I would return for the items. She then told me that she would allow this ONLY THIS ONE TIME. I then thanked her, and she proceeded to tell me, "It is SO FUNNY! People ALWAYS seem to forget the 30% off! ALWAYS! Coincidence?" I then asked for her name, and she told me it was Kim. I have never been so offended, and treated so poorly in your store. I understand the concept of not being able to honor a in store coupon that is not with, as I work in retail myself. Kim could have merely said, I'm sorry you must bring it, and I would have been completely ok with that. My husband and I have a MVC charge, and often frequent kohls. I am sorry to say, after this women's poor customer service and attitude, we will be closing our charge and never returning. This is the second awful experience I've had in Kohls. I would NEVER treat a customer with such disrespect in my store, and I choose to only shop at stores that treat customers with the same standard. I understand during holiday, disgruntled customers are everywhere. I want to make sure you understand that I am the most respectful person, and not the case of the typical crabby holiday shopper. I hope you take this complaint serious, as if this is a regular occurrence, I can assure you have already lost plenty of business. read more

I was shopping on Black Friday, I or the helper could not located the item so we called Jodi a manger over, who was very very rude and combative to me and drew a crowd over. I remained calm but very embarrassed what did I do to receive this? I never got the problem or the item. So Monday I called to talk to the store manager Heidie and got a cold response from her also, and no help, so then called corporate office, and was assured I would receive a callback and get some help still waiting a week later. I am not one to complain at all, but where has customer service gone? I am in customer service and I know how this would effect my job if this was my company. Is corporate America so big they can dismiss us little people as for we don't count any more? I would highly suggest thinking about supporting a business that's supports the little people then just forgetting about us as they have. read more
