Mr. Kohl is the official photographer at a local high school where my daughter graduated recently. I was told he confronted another student during their graduation rehearsal for posting a bad review on Yelp. Really, Mr. Kohl? That is not so cool! Which is why I waited for the right time to give him this review which is long overdue by the way...
I accompanied my daughter on her grad pictorial at their Benton Street studio. I was already turned off as soon as we stepped in. The place is filthy and things in disarray. The worst part?
The shawls used (they have an option to use different colors for the pictorial) were dusty and smelly. For the price we were paying, it could have been better. I swear, when my daughter was changing, I was close to having an asthma attack! He also kept on coughing and even shook our hands using the hand where he coughed at!
Our check was cashed out within a day or two after payment, but the delivery of the items delayed, big time! On top of the delay, wrong items were given to my daughter. We paid a handsome price for a wooden frame which came out only as a cardboard frame (from Michaels maybe?) After finally getting hold of him (after several failed attempts), he had the nerve to yell at me just because I was telling him the wrong item was delivered. He said, and I quote, " I can refund your money if you are not happy with the service". Honestly, if Mr. Kohl is not the school's official photographer, we could have gone to another studio in a heartbeat!
His guilt is probably eating up on him (or fear I would write this review) he eventually apologized with an offer to give extra items for my daughter. Did we take it? Nope! After our experience with him, there's no way we would be doing business with him ever again. Another handwritten apology came few days before the actual graduation day. I'm guessing the real reason was that the school finally decided to ditch him and get another official photographer! read more
