My mother is a heavy smoker, so the house had nicotine stains underneath the sofas. The owner, Dominic went to the house with another technician to do the carpet cleaning. He did a good job removing the stains, but was not as attentive to the edges of the stairs and closets. Overall, for the price, he didn't do a bad job. That's it. Originally they called me in November 2022, soliciting their service. No problem, I've used them before, yep, thanks for the nudge, I really need my carpet done. The rep was awesome, friendly, helpful, we agreed on time, date, quote for January. Unfortunately, January came around & I had to reschedule, so I called in well in advance to do so. The woman on the phone (not the same lady), again was awesome, super friendly & helpful. I felt bad for pushing my cleaning up into March but she said no problem & when I asked, she said I could still get the promotional price. GREAT! Third call came just before my appointment day & I clarified again about the sofa & something else, all was good. Then today came. Monday, March 20, the technician arrived & changed the quote. It wasn't only that. I wanted my sofa done as well (it was in the quote), he said he either tack on the price for another room or he wouldn't (with my help), move & do under the sofa. So, clean 3/4 of the carpet? He wouldn't budge, he didn't call the office, he just left, but not before chastising me for not being prepare better. Three different people knew the tech would have to help me move some furniture, I was told it wasn't a problem up to 40 lbs was fine, they do it all the time. Clearly this tech didn't want to. Sooo disappointed, anyone who's had their carpets done know how much work is done to prep. A few minutes after he left I called the company. The person I spoke to wouldn't help me. She was pleasant, if not a touch condescending, but wouldn't help me. She explained their quoting policy, & I get it, I understood it the first time it was explained to me, but that wasn't the point. This is a small place. Still, had she just talked a breath, thought for a minute, negotiated with me even, I probably would have been fine if we could come to an agreement in a respectful, compassionate, & caring way, this would have been a very different review. I ended up calling another company, Maple Leaf Carpet Cleaning. They're coming this Saturday, we shall see how it goes. Funny thing is, their quote is a little more than Alberta Carpet Cleaning's first quote to me. Soooo, the takeaway? If Alberta Carpeting had just listened, opened more dialogue & found a compromise we could have done business. As it stands now I would not recommend them again, I had planned on using them for my furnace but I won't be doing that now. And if it comes up, this will experience will be mentioned again. So I hope a few dollars was worth it to you Alberta Carpet Cleaning.

The Tecnician they…read moresent over was experienced and knowledgeable, although he did nothing but grumble and complain about how dirty it was- I told him that if was easy I would have rented a carpet cleaner at Safeway and done it myself for 1/6 the price. He was there an hour and a half and a sizeable living room and 2 smallish bedrooms were done for about 160. It had several small dark stains- paint drops and wax that I didn't expect to come out, but one lighter organic stain was still there when he left, and I was able to lighten it further with not much more than hot water and a towel. I think he got a bit lazy at the end as I had to leave for a bit. All I expect is do your best.
