So disappointed with Alberta Carpet Cleaning. Let me set this up: I live in a 907 sq foot townhouse where there's only a small living/dining combo, 13 stairs, & a small hallway upstairs. That's it. Originally they called me in November 2022, soliciting their service. No problem, I've used them before, yep, thanks for the nudge, I really need my carpet done. The rep was awesome, friendly, helpful, we agreed on time, date, quote for January. Unfortunately, January came around & I had to reschedule, so I called in well in advance to do so. The woman on the phone (not the same lady), again was awesome, super friendly & helpful. I felt bad for pushing my cleaning up into March but she said no problem & when I asked, she said I could still get the promotional price. GREAT! Third call came just before my appointment day & I clarified again about the sofa & something else, all was good. Then today came. Monday, March 20, the technician arrived & changed the quote. It wasn't only that. I wanted my sofa done as well (it was in the quote), he said he either tack on the price for another room or he wouldn't (with my help), move & do under the sofa. So, clean 3/4 of the carpet? He wouldn't budge, he didn't call the office, he just left, but not before chastising me for not being prepare better. Three different people knew the tech would have to help me move some furniture, I was told it wasn't a problem up to 40 lbs was fine, they do it all the time. Clearly this tech didn't want to. Sooo disappointed, anyone who's had their carpets done know how much work is done to prep. A few minutes after he left I called the company. The person I spoke to wouldn't help me. She was pleasant, if not a touch condescending, but wouldn't help me. She explained their quoting policy, & I get it, I understood it the first time it was explained to me, but that wasn't the point. This is a small place. Still, had she just talked a breath, thought for a minute, negotiated with me even, I probably would have been fine if we could come to an agreement in a respectful, compassionate, & caring way, this would have been a very different review. I ended up calling another company, Maple Leaf Carpet Cleaning. They're coming this Saturday, we shall see how it goes. Funny thing is, their quote is a little more than Alberta Carpet Cleaning's first quote to me. Soooo, the takeaway? If Alberta Carpeting had just listened, opened more dialogue & found a compromise we could have done business. As it stands now I would not recommend them again, I had planned on using them for my furnace but I won't be doing that now. And if it comes up, this will experience will be mentioned again. What a joke , could do a better job with a safeway rental. They came in and didnt even do basement stairs (Which where quoted for). Wanted another 190.00 to come back and do them . VERY UNPROFFESIONAL. WILL NEVER USE THESE GUYS AGAIN , AND DO NOT RECOMEND. read more

The two-star rating is based on the previous experience which I had with this company years ago, which was positive. However, it seems that the service greatly depends on the technician sent out. The technician this time around was disrespectful and demeaning. I was very surprised (negatively) by the interaction, it was beyond the pale in terms of rudeness. The office did nothing to address my concerns. The rating for this interaction was 0/5, the entire thing was a waste of time and money. read more

Im adding to my original review - I had the pleasure of speaking with the General Manager Dana who actually handled the situation with alot of class. She refunded me my money and sent out another tech today (Lawrence), who worked on that ink stain for a full hour. Dana also held an educational meeting with her staff and used my story as an opportunity for teaching. Did I want to be a source for education, no - no I did not, Im pretty sure any sane person would pass on that; but you gotta respect that kind of thing in a company. Im certain that my experience wont be repeated with the existing staff and from what I hear, staff stick with this company so thats a plus. While the stain isnt completely gone, it has significantly reduced. If the stain had been reduced to its original size I would give them a full 5 out of 5 for the effort and professionalism after my original disasterous original experience. read more

My family used this company for duct cleaning. I was impressed how efficient the workers were. They got our payment info, and in ten minutes, they had the Power Take Off of their vacuum truck engaged, ready to work. Well worth the $400 to actually be able to breathe in clean air. I will later review their actual work, but today I will comment on the fact that we had an appointment for Saturday, June 22/19 for between 11:00 and 18;00 and that they will call for actual arrival time. I have to say that our first experience was not good with this company, but they have more than made up for it! We were offered a free cleaning to compensate for our past experience, and they went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy. A few key points: - There was no hassle when we tried to get our free cleaning that was offered. No questions asked - they just made the appointment and that was it. - The guy who came to our house was respectful of not only our house, but our dogs as well. He made sure that they were safely put away before opening the door. - The guy was very friendly and welcoming (even though he was in our house!) - They were quick (It took about 45 minutes to do two rooms, a landing, and about twenty stairs.) - They did an amazing job! With two dogs, our carpets can get quite dirty...and as of now it looks like we don't have eight little feet that sometimes don't cleaned before they make it to the carpet. I want to say that the fact that we were offered a free cleaning shows me a lot about the company as it stands now. When we first had the bad experience, we had phoned the company and we were pretty much told 'too bad'. Of course, that just added to our disappointment of the whole experience. In short, public relations for Alberta Carpet Cleaning has kicked it up a notch, and that tells me that they are now serious about providing amazing customer service, which is what makes a business stand out from the crowd. So, I would totally recommend them now and we WILL be using them again. read more

I don't know how this company is still in business. They picked up my area rug and all I wanted was a basic cleaning. The person picking up the rug insisted on the bio treatment and I declined, numerous times. Got a call a week later that the carpet "needs this bio treatment" and the cleaning hasn't even begun. Well, apparently the cleaning takes a week so I am not impressed at this point. What was supposed to be a week is now looking to take two weeks. I said do not go ahead with any other treatment, just clean it and return it. The very next morning I get a call that my rug is going to arrive at my house in twenty minutes (thanks for any heads up!). I said no, I wasn't home, they could deliver at 9am. They didn't show up at 9am and I waited half an hour. They called back to arrange another delivery and finally it got delivered today. They didn't even clean it. It is 100% obvious they didn't do a thing to clean it. I have been charged over a hundred dollars to just have my rug missing for almost two weeks. Thanks for nothing. Oh wait, thanks for the headache! Never using these services again, that's for sure, and recommend no-one else waste their time either. read more

I didn't get the chance to see how well their technicians do. I booked an appointment a week ahead. They had an old phone number on file, I gave them my number I'd be at the day of appointment. They sent a confirmation email, which I confirmed. The day of they called the old number from the file, not the number I gave. Because I didn't answer they didn't show up, my appointment window was until 6pm. When I called just before 3:00 the day of appointment, they said they couldn't come since they had no one available. I asked to talk to a supervisor, manager, general manager but was told they had all left for the day. It's a Wednesday and they finish before 3pm. read more

I was checking for ACC's phone number when I saw this. I had them in for a dining room, living room, hallway and master bedroom. Typical bungalow. The operator was a very nice guy and was thorough from start to finish. He even slightly pushed me to yes, it is easy to move the TV, or bed, or side table, or anything else that in my mind was too lazy to do. Pre-priced at $149, I was told this price was guaranteed for 2 years. I renovated and no longer have the dining room carpet so although 2 years has passed, I know I will get a great job done for possibly less now. I don't think the next operator will be able to convince me to move my new 60gallon aquarium. I will be scheduling both a furnace cleaning and carpet cleaning as soon as this freaking cold Winter is past. Oh yeah, both my traitor dogs wanted to go home with him. read more

I have used Alberta Carpet Cleaning for many years and have always found them to be efficient, polite and respectful of my home. I tried another company at one point and was most disappointed, so came back to ACC and have stayed with them ever since. They just finished cleaning our furnace and our carpets and I am totally thrilled with the results. With two messy grandchildren, our dining room carpet was in a sad state. But now it looks as good as the day it was installed! You can't go wrong with this company! read more

Completely amazing experience! We recently suffered a break and enter. There was a great deal of vandalism to our home. I called Alberta carpet cleaning for an estimate and they were so accommodating and kind. Not only did they offer to conduct a complimentary cleaning, they came out at my earliest convenience, treated us with the utmost courtesy and respect and had a great deal of compassion for our situation. There work was thorough and of the highest quality. I was very impressed with the attention to detail. I also really appreciate the courtesy call from the office staff, to ensure that I was completely satisfied with the work. This company conducts themselves with great integrity. I will definitely use them again in the future and recommend their services to others. read more

I have not use Alberta Furnace Cleaning services yet, not sure that I will now. I called and spoke with a representative from Alberta Furnace Cleaning this afternoon; I was requesting an estimate to book an appointment for the end of September. I was asked how I heard about the company, I said through a family member. The quotes for the carpet cleaning, furnace and duct cleaning given by the rep was more expensive than the deals posted online. I mentioned this to the representative, who says 'oh I thought you said you were referred by a family member.' Then rep the proceeded to give me the lower quotes/deals that were posted online for the services that I need. I told her I would have to think it over. Following the conversation, I really didn't feel comfortable booking with this company. Buyers beware; make sure you check if AFC has deals online before booking with them. read more

20 minutes of carpet cleaning for $200.00. Operator used a mobile unit for our condo, did one pass over the carpet and missed spots. Carpet is wet but not clean. No care, no attention to detail, fast, fast, fast ... they are making $150.00 a hour on carpet cleaning. A train wreck, If you are going to secure carpet cleaning find out what they are going to do, what equipment they are using and what attention to detail are they providing. Very poor effort and even worse results. I would strongly advise you to stay away from these guys. Your hard earned money is much to valuable than to be paying $150.00 an hour for cleaning that gets your carpet wet, but not clean. Try elsewhere and check everything. We didn't do our homework so we are partly at fault for trusting them. read more

They spent a lot of time making excuses about their sick tech which is so u professional . They would not offer compensation to reschedule until next Saturday .
