I was forgotten about in a medical room after having rang the bell several times. Dr Torres is not good. I went in for my annual and he forgot to refill my medications--the whole point of going in for the annual as they won't refill meds unless you make the app!! idiots. I asked for the refill again at a follow up--still no refill. Dr Torres does not read or pay attention to what is in portal. I had a positive test and mentioned it in the appt and he looked at me blankly like he had no idea what i was talking about. He seems confused, unorganized and has difficulty with rapport as he can barely make eye contact. Definitely not returning here.

She was in a panic when I went with her to the next appointment. He came in spouted about 30 seconds of nonsense and started to walk out. I stopped him and asked about the ultrasound. He said, "Oh, that was all ok" and walked out. Insensitive and obviously just waltzing through as many appointments as he can to get the money. Not cool.

It didn't make sense why he'd even have to do that if we established that he wouldn't allow me to do my labor in a bath tub and I'd just go to my reg doctor in a couple days anyway. Seems like he just wanted to get paid and didn't care at all about my comport with him intruding on a personal part of my body with no real explainaion. He's a fast talker and a doctor that likes to use his power to get money or get off on something or both.Totally disgusted with him. Dr. Arcangeli delivered our daughter last March, and we have nothing but nice things to say…read more I switched to Arcangeli pretty late in my pregnancy after finding out that Carson Tahoe Regional Hospital is a much more affordable option for deliveries compared with Barton Health here in South Lake. I regret that he wasn't my OB for my entire pregnancy -- he has a great bedside manner, is very engaged and had detailed, intelligent but jargon-free discussions with us. When I discussed wanting a natural childbirth, he was very supportive, which I found refreshing compared with my previous OB. I ended up needing a c-section because my daughter was breech (hospital policy does not allow breech deliveries for firstborns), but I'm confident that Arcangeli is not a doctor who pushes unnecessary procedures, and that he will do everything he can to help his patients meet all reasonable birth plan goals, natural or not. Although I wanted to avoid a c-section, I am as happy as I can be with the results -- I had no difficulty with my incision, had a very easy recovery and have a very healthy baby girl.

I can completely understand the previous reviewers low ratings for Dr. Habaradas. Often times she…read moregives the impression that she's very rushed and only has X amount of time for you before she's off and running to the next patient. However, once you put your foot down and pretty much say, "Dangit, I have a list of questions and you're GOING to answer them", her go-go-go mentality seems to simmer down a bit (at least, it did for me). All that being said, I probably would have given her a solid three star review had it not been for experience during the last week of my pregnancy / birth. I had planned to go all natural, no drugs blah blah blah until we were almost two weeks past my due date. Dr. Habaradas said we could keep waiting as neither the baby or I was in distress, but the little nugget kept dropping and then going back up, and all I wanted was this baby OUT of me! So we settled on a C-Section. This is where the extra star came in. I'm pre-med, and very hard to gross out, so I asked if she would walk me through the C-Section step by step. She was obviously uncomfortable with it (understandable. I don't think I'd want to tell someone the details of how I'll be slicing them open in two days time) but she walked me through each and every step, and told me what the procedures would be if anything were to go wrong. For me, this was totally comforting, partially because I'm a control freak, and partially because I knew my doctor knew exactly what she would be doing. At the end of everything, we have a healthy baby and a healthy (both physically and mentally) mommy. Woosah.
