I had Koberlein inspect my septic system. The house was not used for a year. The technician told me my septic system was no good because there was very little water in it. I had it inspected by a different company with a Camera. The tank and system are in excellent shape. They are looking for a big job. Beware. read more

Horrendous. Koberlein was bought out by wind river and the service has dropped substantially. Spent 30 minutes on hold trying to book a septic service only to be redirected and put at the back of the queue. Find a local company that can just answer their phones directly without the run around. Who has time for that. I was a loyal customer of Koberlein but the company I knew is unfortunately gone. read more

I called this company for a service and they explained me that they will charge extra $300 in fees on top of any work they would do. I doubt that someone will pay them $300 just for coming. The customer service and the communication below the satisfactory level. read more

Great to work with, good communication with us, and they showed up when they said they would. Ours was a septic tank replacement job but it went well, and the pricing seemed fair to us. Very happy with our experience. read more

We have used Koberlein in the past and had very positive experiences. However, now that they are part of Windriver Environmental, the customer service, particularly billing is absolutely dreadful. read more

Called several septic companies in the Liberty, NY. area with no success. They either did not call back or simply didn't answer the phone. Frustrating when the plumbing is backing up. Snow on the ground and bone chill cold. Finally found Koberlein and they arrived quickly. Diagnosed the problem and gave us options. No pressure. No salesmanship, just good courteous service. A big thank you for getting the job done. read more

Had used Koberlein for many years, recently has turned corporate. Now has subbed out work to other companies. Called up to schedule semi annual cleaning, 25 minute on hold, another 20 minutes with an agent to update my "information"? Then was told to call another one of their companies who is located closer to my home. Wtf? I'm done read more

We called the company because we had use them in the past. They got back to us two weeks later. They made the appointment for the inspection at our home, charged our credit card a fee. Then two weeks later, they called us again and asked to make an appointment. We told them we already made an appointment, and the woman insisted on telling me that we haven't used them since 2019 and she has no record of an appointment. And she persistently antagonized me and reminded me that we haven't used them since 2019 and totally ignored that I was telling her that I already made an appointment. She refused to check with anybody else to see who took my credit card and made the appointment & then hung up on me because i was agitated!!!! So now I have to cancel my credit card and find another septic company to inspect our septic tank. We will never use their services again. Worst customer service I ever encountered. Stay away from this company if you need reliable service, it's not gonna happen. read more

Called them today, bad pump, water backed up to house. They came over same day, pumped out the tanks and confirmed that the pump was not working. Will come tomorrow to fix the pump, could not ask for bether service AAA. Follow up on yesterday's review, they came out this morning, in the pouring rain and replaced the pump. If anyone has issues with their septic systems this is the place to call. read more

Tony and Bruce were so helpful. They assessed my situation, discussed options, and made recommendations that seemed fair and reasonable. I appreciated that they spoke in layperson's terms -- and were very customer friendly. Highly recommend. read more

Came the very next day. I thought for sure it was a bad pump but after they looked in details was a $110 repair on wires. Honest company. Quick service! Professional technicians. Highly recommended. read more

My fiancé and I bought our house in October, unaware of the time frame in which the septic had been inspected. According to community laws, it must be inspected/pumped every 2 years. When we found out we were overdue, I called every septic company we could find online and by word of mouth. The woman who answered our call at koberlein was FANTASTIC. She answered every question we had about everything from what we needed to do, to what we needed for our community, to pricing and when their driver could come out. She explained that they do the inspection, and will pump if need be, but if it needed pumping, they ONLY charge for the pumping and not the inspection, which was WONDERFUL compared to other companies we called. Their prices were VERY competitive and we couldn't refuse the services. Today, their driver (Matt) came out and before he even got started he ensured I knew what exactly he was doing and what he needed to do. He talked me through every step of the process and the "what ifs" that were possible. Once he gave the all clear for our septic he gave me some tips and tricks to help take better care of our septic system and handed over all the paperwork I needed to show we had the inspection done and our system passed. As a first time home owner, we get a lot of crap for not knowing things, and people tend to "look down" on us for asking so many questions about things. I mean, we ARE first time homeowners and we're new at this. But koberlein didn't skip a beat in making sure we were confident with their services. They answered all of our questions, completely and honestly, and never made us feel like we were "silly or stupid" for asking. We will be koberlein customers as long as we own a home and will be recommending them to all of our homeowner friends! Thank you koberlein and thank you Matt for a wonderful experience!!!!! read more

So I've owned this house in the country for five years and decided, well, the time has come to pump the septic tank. It's been a while. A dirty job but has to be done. So on the recommendation of a couple of people I called Koberlein. This is a well-established septic system company that serves Wayne and Sullivan Counties. The guy came over, looked in my tank and said to me, hey, you're OK. Five years notwithstanding, the level wasn't very high and, given my level of usage, I don't have to have it pumped now and can wait another couple of years. How about that? He could have just gone ahead and pumped it and I'd not have been any the wiser, but he's an ethical guy and this is obviously an ethical establishment. They are A-OK by me, and I'd recommend 'em to anybody who needs this dirty but necessary job done. read more

Wish I could give more stars. All I'll say is don't waste your money with anyone else, call Koberlein first. They were here on Christmas eve and fixed a clog in a half hour that no one else would even consider looking at. Their employees are super professional also. Thanks Koberlein read more

We had clogged main drain problems for years, and another plumber did not pinpoint the problem. Koberlein was recommended to us and we called- they came out the next day for an evaluation, gave a fair estimate, and then replaced our main sewer line. They even put the gravel back over the spot in the yard where they dug up and replaced the pipe. Also they called a few days later to see how everything is- perfect! No more gurgling bathtubs, slow draining sinks and best of all- a dry basement! Thank you Koberlein!! read more

Koberlein was able to resolve a sewer line issue we were having at our house in Plymouth that was plaguing us for months. We had a septic problem that another company said would cost up to $1500. Remembering we used this company before, we called them. Ken came out and said we just had tree roots blocking the drain, $85 later the problem was fixed! We didn't even have to have our system drained. This is a good, HONEST company. They are the best! We can't thank them enough. read more

Don't use these people. Terrible service. A month ago, Chad came by the house and told me all I needed was for him to take my pump and he could fix it. He would "return it when he was next in the neighborhood so as to avoid another charge." Being a trusting soul, I've been waiting. I called him today. He hung up on me. I e-mail the office yesterday, NOTHING. I've called 2 times this morning, the phone is cut off. TERRIBLE SERVICE! Dr. Regis Hanna 570-618-0367 read more

Great service! Tony and Bruce were right on time (actually 10 minutes early) and went above and beyond to do a very thorough and professional job. They were friendly and exceptionally informative, explaining my system to me and leaving me written material about the system such as "do's and don'ts" and literature on treatments and additives. Great guys, I highly recommend this company. read more

We had these folks out to clean our cesspool and install a hatch. We were under the gun due to selling our house. Their guy, who I believe is out of their Liberty NY office, was excellent, thoughtful and professional. In general, everyone we dealt with was helpful and considerate of our situation. The company was flexible and everything was done just as it was explained to us. No reservations in recommending Koberlein. read more

I am Regis H. I left a very negative review on Feb. 6, 2018 Here is what happened afterwards. That evening, I got a personal call from the owner of Koberlein, Chris Ravenscroft. I was very surprised. He hadn't read my Yelp review, but had heard from his staff about a message on their answering machine. Chris listened to me and was very concerned. He asked good questions. He didn't make excuses and he sincerely apologized for the situation. They'd copied my cell number wrong and nobody had followed up to come back and communicate/get the right phone number. Koberlein came out the next day. They installed a new pump. I was not charged for either visit. They did every possible thing to make it right. I am not accustomed to this Superior Customer Service! Any company that is trying this hard to make customers happy deserves our support! Anybody can make a mistake, but when they do, that's when you find out who they really are. These people are great! Congratulations Koberlein! read more

Koberlein driver tore up my driveway costing thousands in repair. After promising to contribute to the fix, Chris (in his infinite wisdom) changed his mind weeks later and reneged on a previously agreed upon amount. In my opinion, Chris and the company are untrustworthy. In addition, he promised to pay the paving company directly and left another contractor hanging. Classless all around. read more
