Came here for a graduation luncheon(around 12/1pm) I don't like giving bad reviews. However, the experience here wasn't good. Customer service is eh. Im not sure if it was just a language barrier or just bad customer service. The food was HORRIBLE! The veggies weren't fresh. The garlic sauce tasted old and stale. My drink had to be changed 3 times because the sprite had too much syrup, the lemonade taste flat, and the water had a bad after taste. I ended up going to get my water out the car to have. Some of our utensils weren't cleaned so we used plastic. Depending on what you ordered the portions size are decent (the shrimp portion is skim when more than 2 ppl order it). I asked for a Medium steak. I received a well done steak I honestly felt like we were served old food because you could taste how UNFRESH the veggies were.The food didn't really have any seasoning frfr. It was greasy. And the rice tasted mine "wash rag water". It could've been because of how they clean the grill then add the food on there, Im really not sure. LASTLY; the floors were were and no sign was up. Always a great entertaining show everytime I visit here. I love to watch the chef cook on the grill for us. You have the choice to order between shrimp, chicken, salmon or steak along with fried rice and vegetables all on the hibachi grill. A 4.2 on Google and a 3.4 on here is a staunch difference if you ask me but i'll give my personal opinion lol. I got the hibachi chicken and added scallops ($18.95 + 12.95). with fried rice ($2.95 extra). It came with the clear soup and house salad. The house salad was sort of doused in the dressing, but it was still good nonetheless. The clear soup was standard, nothing special...still ate it all. I ordered a Pineapple Upside down martini, and might I say it was watered down. It was supposed to come with Absolut Vanilla, but I didn't taste it very much. I tasted more pineapple. It wasn't very strong, and I know martinis are supposed to be sort of strong by nature. For $11.95 it wasn't bad I guess--could've been stronger though as a martini. The inside of pretty quiet and dim. I went around 12:15 so it wasn't that many people there (which is good for me). I say at a table with 2 other adults and 2 kids. We were the only customers in there at the time. The chicken hibachi with added scallops was good. Basically I got what I would have gotten somewhere like Benihana for half the price. Tried the sushi and hibachi. Really bad experience. Not clean. Food and Service weren't great. Do not recommend.

I'm giving it a 3 solely because the food tasted incredible and the service was prompt. However, there were two problems. First problem I had was -- and I will admit this was my fault for not noticing it -- clicking the "Hibachi Dinner" button on their website directed me to their Hibachi Lunch menu. I did not catch that before I went to the restaurant and thought they had really good dinner prices. Had I actually seen the dinner menu, I would have dined elsewhere tonight, but I can say that the quality of food is indeed worth the price. The portions were large and they did not skimp on anything. They also didn't nickel and dime me to death for minor substitutions like most other hibachi places do. Second, and even more annoyingly, is whoever runs the FOH music was either completely inept, going through a bad breakup, mentally unstable, or a combination of the three. The ENTIRE time I was there dining in, Miley Cyrus' "Flowers" was on a constant repeat loop that was too loud to ignore. It played nonstop without interruption over and over and over again like some sort of f---ing Chinese water torture. By the time I had realised the situation, I had already ordered and was stuck. Had I not yet ordered, I would have left. It was genuinely that annoying. Other patrons noticed it too and appeared to have mentioned it, but the staff seemed to be immune to it and nobody had the ability to go fix it. That song on repeat alone was worth a 1-star review, and had the food not been so great, they would have gotten that rating. read more

DO NOT EAT FOR SAFTEY. I have dined in and ordered takeout from this establishment many of times but this time will be the last. I ordered a rainbow roll (which I eat regularly) It was a foul smell and taste on the fish and we called to let them know to not serve it. Not only did the woman on the phone hang up in our face she was rude and dismissive. I am very saddened by this experience this place has been in my life for many of celebrations and day to day. I was mostly hoping for a confirmation they were not serving that fish anymore but I was faced with an awful attitude and an abrupt hang up in my face. I would not recommend because they do not take food safety seriously, if this their standard for handling raw fish I would hate to see how they take care of the prepared food. This was a solid 3.5 experience. We were interested in coming for dinner on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day but because they don't take reservations thought it might be too much of a gamble, so we went on Dec. 23 instead. For a party of four it was a brief wait until we were seated at a hibachi table (regular tables had no wait). Shortly thereafter we were brought the clear soup and salad with a creamy ginger dressing (different than I've had at other hibachi places). Only two other diners were seated with us and we were glad we didn't have to wait for all of the seats to be filled before they started "the show." The hibachi chef was very unenthusiastic. Not the usual show you get at other places which was kind of a bummer even though it's always very hokey. On the plus side, the food was great. I had the filet and scallops, both perfectly cooked and flavorful. The vegetables were left on for way too long and were mushy/overcooked. The portion of rice you get could feed an army. Will be eating leftovers for days. The yum yum sauce was good but not as complex on flavor as I've had other places. Great lunch menus and the restaurant is always clean and staff friendly. I often get the steak and shrimp, always cooked perfectly.

The vibe of the place is cool. It's big and has a lot of stations or places where you can sits and eat hibachi. The service was nice at the table when you sit down. The front desk staff wasn't the greatest... Sadly. But the biggest fault to this place is the people doing the Hibachi grilling. It's really a coin toss to us, if you're going to get a great person who's energetic and excited or someone who's kind of bored it doesn't want to be there. It really kills the experience when the cook is not exciting. Additionally if your group isn't that big and you are seated next to another group they can also kill your experience. So bring a group of 8 so you don't have to share cooks. The food portion sizes are really huge which is nice. Food quality was okay and they mostly give you rice. read more

Although the food was pretty good, the service is not much to brag about. We were greeted right away and sat shortly after. As soon as we were seated the waiter comes by and says ready to order. We hadn't even had a chance to look at the menu nor were we given both menus. (Food and sushi) Once we placed our order, we didn't see him again until it was time for the bill. The chef was not very sanitary. He sneezed down by the food on the tray. Wiped his nose with his apron. And returned to cooking. My friend requested he washed his hands and he did and also came back with new utensils. First of all, I've never left a yelp review on any place regardless of the service. However my experience at this location is one I simply can't look over. The greeting was standard but our hibachi chef was incredibly rude and standoffish. To me specifically. I was conversating with a friend when the chef yelled "plate!" To me without getting my attention first. I felt bad and tried to apologize to where he ignored me and greeted everyone else with a "ma'am" or "sir". Even when passing my main dish he yelled " plate!" Again without addressing me before hand. My friends and I noticed his ill attitude towards me and questioned it throughout the rest of the dinner. After a while I began to feel full ask for a cup of water because I was feeling ill to where the waiter simply huffed, stepped away, and brought my water in a TOGO cup. The service set the atmosphere for the rest of the dinner and many of my friends began to debate if we should leave mid service because of the rudeness and uncomfortable atmosphere. We have agreed to never come to this location EVER again. As we were leaving the same chef was giving an absolute friendly and over the top performance for the group after us. I decided to come here for lunch as I never treat myself, to what I consider to be a sit down-dine in table service meal. The staff were pleasant, the restaurant was clean, and I was greeted immediately. The food was ok. I ordered the chicken hibachi lunch portion and the vegetables were overcooked and the chicken was dry. It had entirely too much oil and sauce, however that's not the reason for this review. Shortly after I started eating, two people were seated in the booth directly in front of me and after they ordered, they began a conference call on a cell phone that was on speaker mode the entire time. I said something to my server and she said that there was nothing she could do about it and I explained that YES, there was something she could do about it...talk to the manager, set some rules, boundaries, guidelines...anything to keep this from becoming overly acceptable. I normally would say something myself, but did not have the energy today to deal with it. I came to this place to get away from my office for a little while, only to pack up my lunch and leave. I truly don't understand why people do this...it's rude, selfish and outright disrespectful. Nobody should be on speaker phone during a phone/conference call. Especially in a restaurant. Period. I was in desperate need of a sushi fix after an unplanned traffic jam - found this place via yelp! I called in my order and it was ready in under 20 minutes. The staff was very friendly and even shared with me that low-sodium soy sauce is better for sushi, the salt won't overpower the food. I tested it at home and they were right! :-P The crab rangoon was crispy and fried to perfection and my sushi rolls (Philly & Spicy Tuna) were fresh and super tasty! They also were very generous with the wasabi, ginger and soy sauce. I am so glad I found a solid sushi place in this area. I hope to dine in soon! read more

They have a large selection, which may be great for large groups because there will be something for everyone. However, the quality is overall low. I got the miso soup, which was average. I also got the Crunchy Cali Roll, which was flavorless. It was weird that they put a brown sauce and regular (instead of spicy) Japanese mayo over the top. I was initially attracted to the variety of sushi rolls they offer, but the rolls could have been much better. Lastly, I got a small hot sake, and they microwave it. It is boxed, Rieko sake, which is fine. But they are a Japanese Hibachi restaurant that has been open for a while, and I wonder why they haven't invested in a sake warmer. It tasted fine but didn't stay hot like usual and was a bit off-putting to witness. It's funny because I've lived quite close to this restaurant for a over a year but never tried it. My date and I were able to be accommodated pretty quickly without a reservation luckily. Also, parking was okay since its located in a plaza. Upon entering, the place looked nice and kept up well. It had a nice vibe. The salad was fresh and soup was perfect. The chef tricks never get old, still enjoyed them as if I never seen before. I ordered the filet mignon and chicken combo. It was very flavorful and a great portion! We ordered Hibachi, my party got combo's, myself the vegetable alone. Well prepared, classic chef humor. Nice decor, not as cramped as some "neighborhood hibachi restaurants I've been too. Food was VERY good, wish my quantity of veggies was a bit more, but the combo portions were fine. I tipped well, but noticed the chef's hibachi cart sported a request to tip him via an app ?! Maybe all hibachi places do this, but first time I've seen that. Are they not tip sharing? I think I found a new go to sushi spot when I come out to visit. For two nights in a row, my brother and the homie and I ordered from here and we enjoyed every last bite. The Decatur Roll was a favorite along with the Bubba Gump Roll. Besides that we tried the Okinawa Roll, and the Crunch California roll was also delicious along with the Sashimi Sampler, Even the go to Philly Roll and Alaskan Roll that I usually always get was great as well. The rolls were heavy, filling, fresh and delicious. One thing I love about sushi spots is trying the creative rolls with interesting names. And sometimes you just have to gamble with them to see what will possibly become a favorite or what you may not order again. We also tried the Nikko Roll, Mango Roll, and the Super Crunch Roll, those were kind of on the Miss side but in the spirit of trying new things sometimes it just comes along with the territory. My mother wanted sushi and specifically requested Kobe, so of course I said yes!! Upon entry, we were promptly greeted and presented with two options: sit at a regular table or at a hibachi table. Given that we went for the sushi, we chose a regular table. Our server was kind enough to await my return from the ladies room (which was fairly clean) before asking for our drink orders. He was also ready to take our full order at the same time which made us feel unnecessarily rushed as the restaurant maybe had 10-12 patrons, including the 2 of us. The restaurant was well lit and the upbeat music kept us entertained while we waited for our drinks, appetizers and entrees. Our server brought our drinks and a nice young lady delivered our appetizers and entrees which were correct, delicious and their appropriate temperatures. I ordered spring rolls and the House Yaki Udon. My mom ordered a crunchy California roll and house fried rice. After our server dropped off our drinks and took our food orders, we didn't see him again until the end of our meals. No beverage refills, napkins, general check-ins.... Nothing. The staff and hibachi chef were friendly, but the rice seemed under cooked with barely any egg in it and the meat mediocre (I ordered filet mignon and salmon). I thought it was just me, but I over heard the other guests sitting at the hibachi grill table discussing amongst each other the lack of food quality. I honestly would have just wanted to refund my whole meal, appetizers included, but I didn't. When I got home, I threw all of the food away minus the sushi that my daughter kept. The seaweed salad was ok, but the cucumber salad was bland and sliced very thick. It was my second time coming with my lover, but I didn't have a good time honestly. The wait was disrespectfully long, like a good 15 minutes and then I guess they had no choice to place us with a table of 4 other people, which wasn't a full table. That was okay, but I feel like the service was diminished because of it. Less customers = less of a show and less eating time was this restaurant idea, it seems. The server barely put on a show until the end until he did a party trick with a bottle, cool. You go there to eat, anyways. The food was okay, it's definitely beginner hibachi. However, I could barely have a chance to eat my food because by the time the server left with the stovetop, I was already being handed a to-go box, a check, and a bag. I am not even being hyperbolic. My vegetables were still piping hot as he just took it off the stovetop onto my plate and the host bought stuff prepping us to leave. Again, unsure if less customers at a table = less eating time, because it was like they wanted our table up out of there. The host were very rude to the patrons seated next to us, as well like she was glaring at them the whole time and had a very nasty, ugly face towards them as well so maybe that had something to do with it as well. I'm not sure what happened between them, but I wish it didn't affect the table as a whole. I had to quickly leave because it felt like that's what they wanted us to do and it was just a very uncomfortable feeling to still eat and take up space after paying. I was going to give this place 3 stars at first, but the wait time was awful, the presentation was lackluster, I couldn't really enjoy my food while it was fresh and hot, the host had an attitude with one guest and it affected the table. Came for a friend's birthday while visiting her. She loves this place, so my review is only based on my personal one-time experience. The sweet tea is definitely sweet, which I like. We sat at the hibachi but I ordered sushi. The hibachi chef was nice, but I did think it was rather tacky that he asked for tips to light the grill on fire again for the enjoyment of the kids that were with us. Sushi was average but fresh. They did get my order slightly wrong. I ordered a salmon roll and they brought me a salmon and avocado roll. They apologized and offered to fix it, but I told them it was okay and I would just eat it. I didn't think it was necessary to waste food. They ended up charging me extra for the avocado added to the roll that I didn't even order. I paid it, but definitely don't agree with that. Overall, it's not a place I would return to by my own choice, but I would if my friend wanted to go again. read more
