Chicken Hibachi (Kitchen) (D) (added scallops)
    Mya S.

A 4.2 on Google and a 3.4 on here is a staunch difference if you ask me but i'll give my personal opinion lol. I got the hibachi chicken and added scallops ($18.95 + 12.95). with fried rice ($2.95 extra). It came with the clear soup and house salad. The house salad was sort of doused in the dressing, but it was still good nonetheless. The clear soup was standard, nothing special...still ate it all. I ordered a Pineapple Upside down martini, and might I say it was watered down. It was supposed to come with Absolut Vanilla, but I didn't taste it very much. I tasted more pineapple. It wasn't very strong, and I know martinis are supposed to be sort of strong by nature. For $11.95 it wasn't bad I guess--could've been stronger though as a martini. The inside of pretty quiet and dim. I went around 12:15 so it wasn't that many people there (which is good for me). I say at a table with 2 other adults and 2 kids. We were the only customers in there at the time. The chicken hibachi with added scallops was good. Basically I got what I would have gotten somewhere like Benihana for half the price. This place is decent/solid. I had a lot of leftovers. My review is for like 3.7, so we'll round that to 4 :)

I'm giving it a 3 solely because the food tasted incredible and the service was prompt. However, there were two problems. First problem I had was -- and I will admit this was my fault for not noticing it -- clicking the "Hibachi Dinner" button on their website directed me to their Hibachi Lunch menu. I did not catch that before I went to the restaurant and thought they had really good dinner prices. Had I actually seen the dinner menu, I would have dined elsewhere tonight, but I can say that the quality of food is indeed worth the price. The portions were large and they did not skimp on anything. They also didn't nickel and dime me to death for minor substitutions like most other hibachi places do. Second, and even more annoyingly, is whoever runs the FOH music was either completely inept, going through a bad breakup, mentally unstable, or a combination of the three. The ENTIRE time I was there dining in, Miley Cyrus' "Flowers" was on a constant repeat loop that was too loud to ignore. It played nonstop without interruption over and over and over again like some sort of f---ing Chinese water torture. By the time I had realised the situation, I had already ordered and was stuck. Had I not yet ordered, I would have left. It was genuinely that annoying. Other patrons noticed it too and appeared to have mentioned it, but the staff seemed to be immune to it and nobody had the ability to go fix it. That song on repeat alone was worth a 1-star review, and had the food not been so great, they would have gotten that rating.

The vibe of the place is cool. It's big and has a lot of stations or places where you can sits and eat hibachi. The service was nice at the table when you sit down. The front desk staff wasn't the greatest... Sadly. But the biggest fault to this place is the people doing the Hibachi grilling. It's really a coin toss to us, if you're going to get a great person who's energetic and excited or someone who's kind of bored it doesn't want to be there. It really kills the experience when the cook is not exciting. Additionally if your group isn't that big and you are seated next to another group they can also kill your experience. So bring a group of 8 so you don't have to share cooks. The food portion sizes are really huge which is nice. Food quality was okay and they mostly give you rice.

Bubba gump sushi roll New York steak and scallop with fried rice My favorite thing to get !!

I have never had a bad experience at this restaurant. I have been a consistent customer since 2018. Great service, atmosphere, the cooks have a wonderful sense of humor, and the food be seasoned perfectly.. If you haven't been to this restaurant yet.... you either sleeping or been living under a rock lol ! Please try it out ASAP :)

Ordered take out from Kobe House last night! Volcano Roll had good flavor but an extreme amount of sauce which made it difficult to eat. Crab rangoons and fried rice were very enjoyable!

Great lunch menus and the restaurant is always clean and staff friendly. I often get the steak and shrimp, always cooked perfectly.

I have never in my life had Americanized Thai food (or at least been conscience of it) but this tasted every bit of that. Not a single Thai national or descendant cooking or dining in here... I should have slid out the door upon noticing this but we were HONGRY and this place was walking distance. I appreciate the big portions to help alleviate the hunger, but the food going down wasn't even close to a real Thai experience. And the general ambience was definitely off. It's unclear whether this is a casual to-go spot or a sit-down spot or a bar. The service here was confusing. You have to order drinks separately from your food, for one. Secondly, it took a solid 10 minutes for a bartender to walk behind the bar and begrudgingly explain to me what they have available. I would have ordered more but her attitude made me close the tab after one beer. We didn't get served water until after we received our food, a solid 15-20 min after being in the restaurant. It generally felt like no one wanted to be there, and the staff were just moving independently to complete tasks instead of creating a dining experience *together*. There was not a smile from a single person I interacted with. I'd most likely not return purely because the dining experience is just plain out uncomfortable. On to the food. Mostly oil and noodles except for the papaya salad, which was... okay. Again, big portions. Nice heat. But just okay. The whole cherry tomatoes on top were a little weird and screamed laziness. The tofu kee mao was... okay. Same for the chicken pad thai. Lots of oil. This food made us feel pretty tired after eating it, which I've rarely experienced eating Thai cuisine. And they were very, very stingy with the protein. My husband counted 4-5 little slivers of chicken and hella noodles. The same was true for my tofu dish. I mean... it's tofu y'all. Cheap. But I can imagine they have to cut these corners because there were about 8 staff members running around in a small space with only a few customers in for happy hour. They do have HH deals on drinks depending on the day, but I found the drinks to be overpriced and not worth it. Especially the beer. And a $10 non-alcoholic cocktail is wild imo, especially for the scanty area this area is in. They are certainly milking the fact that they are in eyeshot of the Mercedes Benz stadium. The inside is beautiful and very ~trendy~ and honestly that tells me exactly where the focus is. I'd rate this a 2, but I'm adding a star for the spotless restrooms.

It had gin and pea flower in it, but I can't find the name of it on their online menu. They were decently busy and service was great. I wish they would post more photos online of their guests dining!! Their Google Photos don't do them justice because we walked in and it felt like wonderful mood lighting and a great amount of people, whereas their Google photos make it seem like it will be brighter and nobody around. It sometimes makes it harder to convince dates or friends to go, since they expect it to be empty! It wasn't the case in reality, which was lovely! I've had this basil friend rice as takeout since I dined in, and I'll be honest it wasn't as good. Online you're given a choice of spice level. I forgot if it had any spice at all (it had amazing flavor). I chose slightly spicy and what came had a very weird flavor, almost smoky, with a deep red color to it. It had a good spice level but the flavor was almost ruined, since it completely changed the profile with the strange flavor. It's probably a dish that's best either with no spice, or a boatload of spice for those who like the pain. It's that weird middle ground when it really isn't the same. No spice brings out the wonderful flavors of the basil and brings out the nuance.
