1 Star -- Proceed With Extreme Caution- Kobe Moving Inc. I do not recommend Kobe Moving based on my direct experience. I hired this company for moving services and paid them and when all my property was in there unmarked truck they demanded, approximately $5,000 for work that was not completed as agreed. The job was left unfinished, and the condition of the work raised serious concerns regarding safety and professionalism. After payment, communication became inconsistent and unreliable. Attempts to obtain a clear completion date or resolution were largely ignored. This created additional stress, delays, and financial impact. What is most concerning is the lack of accountability. When a company accepts full payment, there is a reasonable expectation that the work will be completed properly and safely. That did not happen here. As a consumer, I have since been forced to pursue formal remedies, including complaints with appropriate regulatory agencies, due to the unresolved nature of this matter. I strongly encourage anyone considering this company to: Get everything in writing Avoid paying large amounts upfront Verify licensing, insurance, and complaint history Document all communications This review reflects my personal experience. These guys were truly awesome. I can't recommend them enough. I needed to pick up a fridge I bought second hand. When I found out it was over 300lbs and needed to go down a flight of stairs I called around for help. Of all the places I called they were by far the most responsive and had the best price. They listened to what I needed and were willing to work around their busy schedule to fit me in the next day. Marvin and his guy showed up to the site before even I did and got right to work, wrapping my new fridge with a blanket to keep it safe. The water line was rusted together, but they he had a great attitude about it and kept reassuring me that they would get it off. They had all the tools they needed. They ended having to manually lift the fridge down the tight stairs, but they made it work which was amazing. They got it safely to my house and even wrapped it in plastic for me when they learned I would need to store it for a month before I could use it. As a quadriplegic individual, I specifically requested that my medical bed be placed inside my bedroom upon arrival at my new location. Instead, the movers held my medical bed "hostage" until I made a $2,000 payment. This was not only unprofessional but also completely disregarded my needs. After finally receiving my bed, I discovered that several items were missing, and some were left carelessly in the hallway by the elevator. Kobe Moving did a great job helping me unload my 20 ft U-Haul. From the booking stage, Sam made the whole process smooth and seamless. He communicated clearly throughout, checked in for updates on my end, and coordinated well with the movers since my ETA kept changing. When the movers arrived, they were on time and very professional, even though they had to wait a bit because of my arrival time. I was moving into a 4th-floor apartment and the unit was a bit far from the elevator, but they were very sensible and strategic in how they handled the move. They worked efficiently and carefully. They also went above and beyond by helping set up some of my furniture, including my TV stand, bed, couch, and bar stools. I had a great experience with Kobe Moving. They were efficient and very communicative with the whole process. Everything was taken care of from packing to helping unpack and rebuild furniture. I knocked off a star because my desk chair was a little damaged in the move (part of the fabric on the arm rest tore off) and there were some fees that were not disclosed to me prior to the booking with them such as the driving fee. Great communication on a short notice move from Catalina Island. Kobe was great with accommodation for moving the date back due to delays with the ferry across the ocean. The scheduler stayed in good communication and the movers also communicated upon pick up from the ferry in San Pedro and along their drive to Riverside in heavy, holiday traffic. Amazing this 26' moving truck pulls up. Two medium build, slender guys with average height appear at our office door. And just like that! With no delay, no issue, and problems, in one fall swoop, (one single trip), every stitch of every item was emptied/moved from that 1120 sq. ft. office.
