Zayra and Sonya were my son's angels and they have helped my son improved so much in such a small period of time. I think of them as my son's dream team with his ABA therapy. Zayra always made my son feel loved, cared for and so patient with my son during his therapy. Even my son's teachers at day care also noticed and told me how good Zayra is to my son. Sonya's dedication to lead and guide my son's therapy and progress exceeded my expectations. She always updated me about what the plan is , how we are going to work with my son's goal and I always hear her teaching different approaches when something is not working with my son. She is definitely knowledgeable and it shows! ABS was the only company where I felt like it's not my problem if there's issue with staffing and they take consistency seriously. My son improved so much with the help of Zayra and Sonya. The only reason why I gave 4 stars is because I was disappointed that they did not renew their contract with Tricare which was the reason why my son only had ABS for 3months. Hopefully they'll accept Tricare again.

From the very first day I could feel they were treating us as if the situation was temporary! looks and comments made did not sit well at times, but being I am bonus mom all new to this what did I know? I will admit I have stood up to some of their unacceptable behaviors but never took it up with the higher up's. I understand after working closely with Bio mom they have built a rapport. Just recently 360 informed us they had made several attempts to reach out to Bio mom with never any luck! For what I have no idea she clearly has tapped out and is working on herself which I had made this very clear with 360. I ran into a situation where ABA was not going to be able to service the children in the home till we got some things in order. Bare in mind the notification of changing the children's household was only a six day notification which anyone with two special needs know way more time is needed especially if both new custodial parents are working full time. Long story short we got things in order for them to be able to service the children again which never happened. I reached out several times without any luck even though I was needing services badly since the children were behaving on a higher level since changes of switching homes, to non existent visits with bio mom were taking places since she was working on herself. Oxnard location is short staffed and has a hard time placing someone in the home if you are located in Moorpark, Simi Valley, or anyone in Ventura County past the Grade. We had two separate conversations take place this week. First one was where I expressed how we were being treated differently in a way they made it really noticeable they favor Bio mom and we are looking elsewhere for ABA services since I will not allow this to continue. On top of the fact I felt they were not challenging my son more and were very comfortable providing the same service every day without introducing at least one new challenge for him to administer. I went on to state a new fresh set of ABA services were needed to see how much more our son could thrive. Since our son has been with us he has gone to the bathroom in the three months we have had him in our custody, unlike the years they had him with bio mom. This statement was made to express how he is thriving more since being in our home. The second conversation I had with Brianna was where we were speaking into future existence about possibly considering homeschooling one of the two children. Even though I was sharing a bit of where I would like this to happen in the future it was not talking about in the next few weeks. Brianna and Crystal take it upon themselves to reach out to bio mom and state this is not a good idea etc. I would never pull anyone of the kids from school without speaking to both parents and getting feedback and so fourth. This is unacceptable behavioral on their part for doing what they have been doing in such a rough transitional phase. Their obligation is to service the children and help them thrive not cause issues in the home to make you feel some sort of way especially when we are trying to adjust and learn everything there is to know about support and services. They failed me in such away that I have a bad taste of ABA therapy, but will disregard them and seek a better experience with a reputable company who acts in a professional manner.

When I pressed the supervisor for a treatment plan, she said she would provide it on on her visit to us the first week of June, then never called and never showed up. My son was having some (improving) issues with a change in seizure medication. This was a recently diagnosed medical situation over which we had no control. It meant that therapy might progress more slowly in the next 2 weeks while medication level stabilized. However, Jackie Singer, used this an an excuse to pull out of continued therapy for him in case he developed a negative association with ABA because of his seizure medication issues. This seems like flimsy reasoning and none of his other therapists had such concerns. If you are lucky enough to be someone this company wants to treat, Congratulations! If not, you are in for a frustration-fest.

I decided to pull her from the school since it was her last month and I was told I would be refunded for the tuition I paid for May, nearly $1,200 since she only attended 2 days that month. When my follow up calls weren't actively being ignored I was told by office staff that the director Kris handled financing and would call me back. This went on for months before I gave up on being refunded. Months later I'm still upset with how they handled the situation. They discussed my personal information with my family who also had a child enrolled and even issued her a partial refund when she parted ways early, but not me. I feel disrespected by the situation and because of that I would never recommend this daycare to anyone I know personally.

She has such a calm, kind, and respectful way of speaking to the children--it's clear she truly understands and values them as individuals. The kids respond so well to her; they listen and engage because she speaks to them in a way that makes them feel seen and heard. She meets them at their level, both emotionally and academically. Special thanks to Ms. Maria, Ms. Sara who have also been shining stars of our experience. I respectfully disagree with this review because my experience with Dr. Sarah Pelangka and Know IEPs has been the complete opposite. As a single mom of four children with autism, I have worked with Dr. Pelangka for 5 years now. I was originally referred to her by a teacher when I needed guidance navigating my son's IEP and obtaining the appropriate supports and services at school. That recommendation ended up being one of the best decisions I could have made for my family. After seeing the level of guidance, knowledge, and support she provided for my son, I knew I wanted her by my side for all of my children's educational journeys. Since then, I have hired her to be present at all of my children's IEP meetings because of the confidence and support she has given me as a parent. Dr. Pelangka has attended all of my children's IEP meetings, communicated directly with school staff on my behalf, and advocated alongside me every step of the way. Before working with her, I often felt unheard, overwhelmed, and intimidated during IEP meetings. With her support, I became informed, confident, and empowered to advocate for my children. Because of her presence and expertise, I truly feel that my voice as a mother is heard and taken seriously by school teams. Thanks to her guidance, my children have received assessments, 1:1 supports, and services that I genuinely believe they may not have received otherwise. She has always been knowledgeable, professional, responsive, and dedicated to helping families understand their rights and navigate the special education process. I know a couple of other families who have also had positive experiences with Dr. Pelangka and continue to work with her. She has always taken the time to answer my questions, explain complex information, and ensure I felt supported throughout the process. I also want to address the comments regarding billing because my experience has been very different. Dr. Pelangka has never pressured or rushed me to pay for her services. I always knew her rates beforehand, so I could plan accordingly and be prepared to pay my invoices promptly. During times when I wasn't financially stable, I would let her know before hiring her and ask what other services she could provide within my budget. As a small business owner, her time and expertise are valuable, and she has every right to expect payment for the professional services she provides. Throughout the years, she has always been understanding, professional, and respectful in all of our interactions. Everyone's experience is different, and I can only speak from my own. My family has had an overwhelmingly positive experience with Know IEPs, and I am incredibly grateful for everything Dr. Pelangka has done for my four children. She has helped ensure my children receive the support they deserve and has given me the confidence to advocate for them effectively. God willing, my children still have many more school years ahead of them, and I will continue to have Dr. Pelangka by our side throughout that journey. There is no magic time, it's what we have decided is right for our kids. We utilize the reading program. Our oldest son, Evan ultimately worked on math too. He was in kindergarten via Zoom and struggled a bit. His tutor, Will started helping with the math and then all was good!!! Evan is currently in 4th grade. Our oldest daughter, Grace loved coming and playing the games with Matt. Playing games is one of many ways Tutorific teaches kids. She still asks me to play the reading games with her from time to time. Grace currently in 1st grade. Our 4.5 year old, Joey reads with the owner, Matt twice a week. He's in preschool and can easily sound out 6 letter words. Joey reads over 400 words by sight. Tutorific has a reward system in place. You reach certain milestones and go to the "PRIZE WALL!" Joey adores the prize wall. A reward system really helps Joey stay on track. It's amazing having kids that can read at such a young age. Our baby, Olivia can be found playing with toys and running around the Tutorific lobby twice a week while big brother, Joey is strengthening his reading skills. She'll start in a few years! I took screenshots of facebook posts my wife or I have posted over the years. I have so many wonderful things to say, I don't know what to write. I decided sharing our personal posts written for our family and friends would give you the best bird's eye view of how much we love Tutorific. We are moms who have feel like Tutorific is more than a place to help kids with homework. They have helped our kids learn to read but more importantly they helped our kids LOVE reading. He loves that Mr. Mat plays reading games and makes learning fun. The encouragement and connection they build with the kids make such a huge difference. We are so grateful to have found this place. They also moved to a new facility down the street which looks great. There is a comfortable sitting area and also a bonus yard for parents or students to sit for fresh air and greenery. I yelled a lot, but more than that I had lost my joy and I just felt like I was drowning in my life most of the time. Working with Janet this summer was like a warm hug. I had read all the parenting books you guys. I knew a lot of neuroscience and child development already. I had been trying as hard as I could to be a good mom for as long as I can remember. What I DIDN'T know was how to show myself compassion. What I didn't know was that I was never going to be able to do better until I felt better and my nervous system actually experienced safety on a regular basis. What I didn't know was how to care for myself like I was someone who mattered too. It took me a while to realize that these coaching sessions were actually Janet mothering me in such a beautiful and compassionate way. She was holding space for all the emotions and fears and hurt of my parenting journey without a shred of judgment. She helped me to believe that I make sense and that I'm already a good mom. She helped me to believe that my children are good too and that their most extreme struggles are simply part of their journey, not something to fear. She taught me to identify what my body was feeling and what I needed so that I could get to a place of safety and truly show up for my children with presence and empathy. It was such a journey with many ups and downs but I'm here to tell you that I'm building trust with my children every day now instead of tearing it down. I'm responding most of the time to my kids' tantrums & challenges in ways that I'm proud of. I truly didn't expect to get so much out of this parenting class and a few coaching sessions but it turned out to be one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.

I came in for a women's health check up about a month ago. I saw Dr. Lanter and was very scared…read morebecause I have a fear of women's paps. As soon as I got there I was greeted immediately and it was a fast process of paperwork. The copay was reasonable and I have Tricare Select. I know it could be free with the VA but if you've ever had military health care you never want to go back. My blood pressure was a little high but the staff and Dr. Lanter were very understanding and knew it was probably bc of my fear. And I'm at a healthy weight with healthy lifestyle. I was also put to ease with Dr. Lanter sharing she was a veteran and understood how women's health care was often treated in service and that I have a women's health diagnosis that is unfortunately not studied as much as it should be with no known treatment. And we discussed things I could do to ease my symptoms. Even though I still don't like paps it went fast and painless with some discomfort but no bleeding. As a woman this is my goal. I definitely want her as my regular women's wellness doctor.

I got a request from my primary at 16 weeks to go see Dr lanter she didn't get back to me for…read morealmost a month and then needed information sent to her after I sent it to her it was another 3 weeks until I got a response back which I'm now 24 weeks pregnant and she is denied my request. There's no sense of urgency and it's absolutely unbelievable that they would wait this long to get back to somebody with a referral request I was told that they usually don't take anybody after 20 weeks however my original request was sent in when I was 16 weeks pregnant their delay has cost me being able to find a doctor close by.
