Moonlight Liquors: Where the Drinks Are Cheap, and the Chaos Is Free…read more If you're looking for a dive bar with all the charm of a back-alley brawl and the customer service of an overworked prison warden, look no further than Moonlight Liquors. Tucked away in a dimly lit corner of town, this place offers an experience that's less "laid-back watering hole" and more "lawless frontier saloon." The night started off simple enough--cheap drinks, a questionable jukebox selection, and a clientele that looked like they'd been living off whiskey and spite for the better part of a decade. But it didn't take long before things took a turn. Enter two local scholars, fueled by whatever toxic mix was sloshing in their cups, who decided they had a bone to pick with us. What started as typical drunk posturing escalated quickly into outright hostility, featuring the kind of language that makes you question both their intelligence and their ability to exist in polite society. And here's where the true magic of Moonlight Liquors really shines--rather than stepping in to de-escalate the situation, the bartenders, who were clearly best pals with the local goons, decided we were the problem. Never mind that we were simply trying to enjoy our drinks in peace. Never mind that we were the ones being harassed. Nope, the moment their friends started throwing out threats, the staff flipped the script and turned their misplaced rage toward us. What followed was a masterclass in unhinged customer service. The bartenders, possibly channeling their inner banshees, unleashed a verbal assault that could peel paint off the walls. Screaming, pointing, full-blown psychotic breakdown mode--all aimed at us for the apparent crime of existing. Then, as if we hadn't already gotten the message that we weren't welcome in their little fever dream of a bar, we were unceremoniously kicked out into the night, while their pet troublemakers undoubtedly celebrated their victory with another round of whatever rotgut they were sipping. So, if you enjoy bars where the staff hates you, the regulars are looking for a fight, and the entire establishment feels like a failed social experiment--Moonlight Liquors is your spot. Otherwise, save yourself the headache and drink literally anywhere else. Rating: 0/5 stars - Would rather drink tap water in a gas station bathroom.

Preface: I'm a very eccentric individual, and I enjoy simple things in life. My review will be…read morebased mostly on that fact alone. However, other notable details relate to the business side of things rather than pleasure. As a traveler, I have encountered many hotels of different style and experience. Lots that are uniform in pattern, lots that boast comfort but beds feel like Tiggers tail instead, most with the similar appeal of get in, get out. Today I've checked into the Hotel Labonte. I'm literally passing though here on my way home, so I dont need lavish things or experience. Prior to check in, I was overwhelmed by the typical motel/hotel options. Some that were too expensive for just a few hours of sleep, most I've decided to never do business with again, and some with OKAY reviews. What drew me to this hotel was the antiquated appeal. This place has history. I love history. With just a few reviews to go off of, I wasn't super sold. So I did some research on the hotel. Found some pictures. My interest; peaked. I decided to book. It's very quiet, maybe because it's still early, but I like that. The rooms are locked with actual keys, no key card that gets deactivated by your phone!! The overall appeal of the hotel is great, the cleanliness is impressive. But the selling point are the rooms. Each is different, I saw 3, my own included. The decor, the bedding, the layout, i find it very comforting. The rooms are VERY clean. I'm a clean freak and for once, I am not grossed out or picky about how the room was cleaned. The bathroom in my room is small. Basically like a guest bathroom, but with a tub. However, despite the size, I dont feel overwhelmed or claustrophobic. Because this place is so old, an initial concern of mine was water pressure. Nothing is more disappointing to me than longing for a hot shower and finding out the water is a sad trickle. To my shock, the water pressure is perfect! The best shower I've taken outside of my own at home. The rooms include: a TV, a microwave, a wardrobe, nightstand, and of course the bed. Now let's speak of the bed: definitely a surprise!!!! It's so soft and comfortable, I will have no issue falling asleep FAST. I've stayed in hotels with more popularity, and their beds do not compare. Ultimately, I am THRILLED with my stay. This hotel has a wonderful "homey" feel, and I LOVE it. To be completely honest, I am sad I'm not staying for more than a day. I would like to experience more so I can review but from what I have experienced, I cant help but rave about this place! 10/10, would HIGHLY recommend.

Bartenders won't serve you and when people instigate a fight, they will not throw them out and allow a fight to break out. They are extremely prejudice and inactive. Additionally, poor responsibilities on the bar owners part.
