Check my DOB fine, even look at me and notice I'm a senior, fine, but they are data mining. I told the cashier I did not want my License scanned and she said the store requires it. I said I didn't want my info in their system. She said" Oh Honey we already have all of your info" Great to know in these days of system hacking." I'm done with them. I'll drive farther to Big M where they use their head. I now know why they are still in business, when up the road is a cheaper option.

Shelves are somewhat empty and they no longer carry Upstate milk or Black River eggs (perhaps the freshest previously available). Big M historically has been my go to grocery year round. I will probably start going up-river to Price Chopper.

Original review: So Almost Perfect is a chain with several locations. Prior to my visit to this Brockville location, I had only ever been to the Toronto location. I would say that the Brockville location is comparable to the Toronto location. Almost Perfect is a grocery store outlet. They sell items that are "almost perfect" like mis-formed chocolate bars, or broken cookies. They also sell items that are approaching their best-before date or discontinued products, like things in flavours that didn't sell well. Their prices are cheap, cheap, cheap. I got some kale chips that usually sell for $6.99 a bag at Loblaws for only $3.33 a bag (the "best-before date" was 3 months from the date of purchase, so not bad at all). They had lots of Udi's gluten-free breads going for $10 for 3 loaves. They had Annie's organic gummies for $2.99 a box. Inventory changes regularly, so it's a surprise with every visit :) This location is a stand alone store (not in a strip mall). There's an attached parking lot with free parking. Staff are super nice and helpful. They only take cash or debit. No credit cards. This place is awesome. If I lived in Brockville, I would go every week!

The produce is fantastic and is monitored by the amazing and friendly produce manager, George. The facility is clean; the employees are helpful. This year some new front end associates came in; AJ, Nate, Juan, and a sweet girl who's nametag I can never see.... They are so well trained, and so kind. However, I stopped in yesterday to check it out. The store is very open and the shelving units are very low. The aisles are short and are on both sides of the store. There is a deli, bakery, fresh produce, and the frozen section tucked away in the back of the store. Nothing about the store really wowed me, it's a grocery store, nothing fancy. The store seems a little outdated in my opinion and it's not as bright and vibrant as others. They had the brand "taste of inspirations" which is a brand that Giant, a grocery store back home has that I shop at. At least I can say that I've been inside.
