Series 79 Exam: At the age of 56 I was offered a position as a Senior MD at a leading investment bank in New York. I spent my career as a business operator, most recently as the Executive Chairman of a company I took public on the Nasdaq. I have had no formal schooling since I graduated college in 1983. I do not have a finance background. If you have not taken the Series 79, I can assure you it is not easy, especially for a person with my professional career experience. After a lot of online and network research I selected Knopman Marks. What I discovered was they had a reputation for a high pass rate. I enrolled in the full 79 program, but I took the in class portion of the course online, as I was not living in New York. The remote access was excellent, the educational experience was outstanding and I benefited a lot from the 3 day course. I also read the text book before and after taking the course. The online user interface is also excellent, the format of the pre-testing functions were great. It helped me so much to do the test questions and read the answers, right or wrong. The personal support I received was outstanding. The entire team was great, from my first call to the main office to scores of interactions with the Knopman Marks team, including the ownership who helped me personally, many, many, many times. The lecture videos and book prepare you well for the exam, and the practice tests are spot on too. Flashcards are an invaluable resource as are a few other items. Knopman exceeded my expectations with the study material for the SIE exam. It has everything from notecards, videos, textbooks, worksheets, practice tests, and assessment/benchmark exams. I had two months to prepare for the SIE with absolutely no background or experience. I'm fresh out of college with a kinesiology degree, so yeah haha. I read the whole textbook from front to back, answered the practice questions honestly, and took the time to go over all of the content online. The test itself is a beast so don't underestimate it. Thankfully I passed on the first try, but I couldn't have done it without the endless challenging test-like practice questions. I know it's an entrance exam but it has a lot of content. Also if you are like me, you've been contemplating because it costs an arm and half a leg. I was at a zero for confidence when I opened the thick textbook but after those two months I was at a 9. After failing the SIE last time through A.D. Banker I gave up all hope on licensing. But my company encouraged me to go after licensing again, and I reluctantly obliged. But to my surprise Knopman Marks supported me the entire way through. They truly have a stellar program. On exam day I was relaxed and I passed the SIE no sweat. Knopman Mark is very beneficial! The layout of the textbook along with the additional study tools (i.e flash cards, practice exams, and class summary) are all needed and very helpful for preparing for the tests! Personally, I found the practice exam questions to be a little harder than the actual exam questions which is helpful because you know you'll pass the actual exam if you can get through the practice questions! read more

My firm uses Knopman for series 7 prep. I took full advantage of their suite of offerings: in person classes, online classes, workbook, online q-bank, app, etc. After utilizing the above, completing over 1,200 practice questions, and taking three practice exams (78%, 80%, and 84%), I felt prepared for my test. I failed the actual test by 1% (71% score). Yes, 1% away from passing. I'm giving this review 2 stars, as I didn't find that the practice tests (which I was told were slightly harder than the real test) were a good barometer for my performance on test day. For those using Knopman, take your score on their practice tests with a grain of salt. From my experience, they were not indicative of how I performed on the actual test. read more

This review is only for the On-Demand video course Pros: -A really good discount for buying the S24 materials in the app (although that caused some skepticism on my part prior to purchase because it caused me to wonder what was wrong with the materials that the discount was so large) -you can download the video course through the app - Brian is extremely responsive to emails - the reps on the phones are extremely attentive Cons: - I 100% understand that audio courses are not meant to replace reading but the slides for S24 were more like S7 - no refunds available This is my 7th licensing exam. I am not new to the business but Pass Perfect remains the company I trust explicitly with exam prep. Their text books and online practice exams are very clear, straight forward and really help you focus only on what you need to know to get a passing score. These guys are he masters at prepping you for any of the FINRA exams. Took my Series 7 and 63 through them. The classes are extremely helpful and the online questions they provide you with is top notch. I did not have a finance background in college as I majored in Polisci but these guys made sure I knew the dry tested information very well leading up to the test. I wasn't scoring as high as I should've (68-74) leading up to the actual test but on the day of the test, I breezed through it like it was nothing thanks to the difficulty of the practice exams compared to the actual test. Ended up scoring an 84 (10% higher than my practice exam score) on the 7. Highly recommended. read more

Coming from an industry completely outside of the financial realm, I knew I was going to need guidance to pass the Series 65! The Knopman textbook accompanied by the 2 day "Live" (online) course and workbook were wonderful resources. Dave, the online instructor, was very engaging and encouraged class participation very well, especially considering everything was done online. I took the class 1 week before my test...if I could go back I would have taken it 2 weeks before my test, as the info given in the lectures was so helpful for comprehending all the complex material. The practice tests that accompany the program helped me to gauge my progress and definitely gave me a good feel for what to expect on the test. I also appreciated the regular check-ins via email from Dave; it was nice to have someone asking about my progress and providing useful study tips for the areas I struggled with.
