The second time I called, I asked for the billing amount from my last appointment, and instead of just telling me, she went on about how much insurance is still waiting to be processed and completely ignored what I was asking for, being entirely rude and cutting me off, and the insurance part was already taken care of on the first phone call. I'm always getting interrogated and cut off. I'm tired of the treatment and type of care, as if all they are looking for is money and not the wellbeing of their customers. I'm currently waiting on the renewal of my insurance and we've already discussed this with the dentist. The insurance will contact them and that is what I'm told by the insurance, but the dentist are constantly asking me to fix the issue. I'm incredibly upset by this type of customer service and hope to see some change. :/

This is not the first dentist office in Smyrna I've shared this information with; however, it was the first one where I felt truly listened to. Everyone immediately set about making me feel more at ease and this continued throughout my visit. While the recommended course of treatment was more than I had hoped, it was consistent with what I had expected. I was able to schedule further appointments as my budget allowed and was never pressured to spend more than my budget could handle. My second visit was unexpected due to a broken tooth. Dr. Clay gave me reasonable assessment and when I returned the next day to have the tooth extracted, I was incredibly tense. Again, everyone set about putting me at ease immediately. When I responded to some discomfort from a shot, I felt the assistant hold my hand to comfort me. After the shot, Dr. Clay also reassured me. The procedure was truly pain free and my pain meds got me through recovery. I am VERY happy a Facebook page pointed me in the direction of Village Crest Family Dental!

This is what I consider a racket with the provider and insurance company. The insurance company tells them what the price should be. So they ramp the price way up there, in this case over $1,600 for the procedure. So now the insurance company can say..ok we paid our portion now the rest is on the patient. But that amount left is so high its like the patient is paying for what the proceedure should really cost as if they had no insurance. Never heard of such a thing, the dental office doesn't determine what they charge for work, the insurance company does. Gotta hand it to them, very slick.
