DO NOT USE!!! Even though they replaced my parent's roof under an insurance claim, they still charged extra (which my parents paid to try to solve the situation) and are now sending my parents to collections over $18,000 in "Late payment fees". Knockout has been a very easy company with which to work. Our area was hit hard with hail damage and we had a hard time getting a reputable company come and give us an estimate. Knockout came within 2 days and helped us out. They worked with us when the insurance company wouldn't return calls because the adjusters were being recycled through the area. They helped collect money from the insurance when we needed more money for the project. All in all I would use Knockout again for all my future roofing needs. read more

This is a lengthy review but so worth the read! This company was amazing to work with. They are honest, dependable, and their communication before, after, and during the job is probably one of the best I've come across. A huge shout out to Gabe for sticking with me through the whole job from day 1. He made sure to communicate with his crew to have the job done in an orderly and timely manner. We had a hard time with insurance, but I didn't even have to deal with them. He took control of it with his team and made sure insurance would take care of us. Most of the time, crews will do a job and not even come back or let alone talk to you ever again. I heard from Gabe a few days after the job to see how things were going. He even had his crew come back out to examine the job to make sure it was good to go. After they fixed our roof we experienced some leaking, and the first thing that came up was it had to do with the new roof we got. We called them to come out and check this out. Turns out it wasn't the job's fault and it was just a rain gutter issue. This was a few days after the job. However, three or four months later...our basement had flooded. I thought it was yet another leak. I called Gabe on a Sunday. He told me he would check with his team and get back to me right away, which he did. He ended up coming out himself to check on the issue within an hour of me contacting him! Again, it turned out it wasn't the roof but he saw we had some clogged rain gutters and even cleaned them out before leaving. He is so friendly and nice to work with. He made this whole experience of getting a new roof completely stress free. Also, it's nice to know he truly cares and is passionate about his job because that is rare to find these days within a company. He created trust and loyalty and for that I will be grateful for all he has done for us! Be ready to be on there schedule. Not yours. 16 Weeks Late and still not done. Signed Paperwork in June with a 6-8 week lead time then paid 50% upfront $6800 and at 8 weeks I contacted them and they said they couldn't get to it till end of October. (So that puts me at 17-18 Weeks out.) Spoke to president Jared with issue and he said he would fix and sent over project manager and said he pushed my job up but that was not the case at all. On the start date I called and Jamie in production said that they didnt move anything and they will try to get to it by end of October. The actual roofing job (although done well after 6 months from when I first contracted with them) was great, and the workers and PM I worked with were amazing. I am not one to leave reviews, especially bad reviews, I'd much rather just contact a supervisor, but after asking twice to work with "upper management" and being refused, this is my only course of action. The sales guy was horrid after the contract was signed. MONTHS after the job was completed I received a voicemail saying I was due a refund. This didn't seem right, so I contacted my PM Branden who said not to worry, everything was fine. Then, still weeks later again, and 6 months at least after I had paid the company well over $18,000, the sales guy pops up out with an email saying I owe them a little over $1,000 and call to pay by phone. Little to no explanation given other than it's for "gutters". So I engage in an email chain with him about why I don't think I owe this (I already paid them for gutters, I have a check copy to prove this) and I'm asking questions, emailing about what Branden told me during the project, about the guy saying I'm owed a refund on a voice mail, etc. During this email, the sales guy was rude, threatening me with liens, never apologizes or tries to explain why I owe the extra money. I even asked him- was this just a communication mishap or accounting mistake? I understand that people make mistakes and even paid the money, because after I demanded a detailed invoice, I figured out on my own (no thanks to the sales guy) that the money I owed was because they charged me for the front gutters separately from the rear gutters on the house. He used "upper management" to threaten me with a lien so I asked for their information and he didn't give it to me, so I told him I'd have to do an online review about his interaction with me instead. As a sales guy, he could really use some customer service training. He only needed to apologize "sorry we forgot to bill you for this. before, could you please pay it now?" and treat me decently. Instead, he was repeatedly short and rude in his emails to me, even after I called him out on his unacceptable treatment of me. I guess in the roofing business, they aren't worried about repeat customers. It's too bad, because the rest of the company people I worked with were very nice. read more

Don't do it! Too many problems to list them all. Their original estimate came in very close to the insurance estimate, so we went with them. Now the final invoice is $15K higher and they want $20K in late fees. They've threatened to put a lean on my home. Large turnover in personnel. They started the job in Mar 2019 and were still doing finish work in Jan 2020. I've spent considerable time pointing out mistakes in their invoice and they corrected some of them, but we still have a significant disconnect. Several in my neighborhood have used them and experienced similar problems. read more

WOW!!! Amazing customer service and genuine care. Our neighborhood was hit hard with a hail storm in June. We knew our roof was needing to be replaced but had no idea we could get the insurance to pay for it. Ivan Taylor came out and looked at our roof and showed us the damage from the hail storm. He even made arrangements with our insurance adjuster to review the damage together. When we received a ridiculously small check from the insurance Ivan was quick to follow up with them and point out all of the building codes and necessary materials they missed. Our insurance approved the quote within a couple of days. The best part is, we didn't have to do anything! Ivan and the team at Knockout Roofing took care of it! There isn't enough I can say about knockout roofing. This company was exceeded my expectation at every stage of construction. I first contacted them because of the wind and hail damage I received and was really worried about it holding up in the long run. Knockout roofing sent out knowledgeable and qualified staff to discuss issues with the insurance company representatives. I found myself qualified for a new roof, able to withstand future storms. On #demoday, which I thought it would take at least two days. They completed that stage in a morning and later that night found myself coming home to a nearly completed roof. I was amazed that with their speed, there was no decrease in craftsmanship. I saw new flashing and replacements of exhaust vents. The next day was just for finishing touches and make sure the workplace was spotless. It was truly a stress free event. They came a few weeks later to double check the work and fix anything wrong. Their dedication to customer services and quality won't be beat. I have suggested this company to my friends, family, and neighbors. read more

REVIEW UPDATED (read to the bottom): Ashley at Knockout knocked on my door a few weeks after the hailstorm in Farmington. So far, she has been awesome to work with. She promised a no-hassle experience, and has delivered. Ashley showed me the damage to my roof and explained how to file an insurance claim. Once I filed the claim, she promised to work directly with the insurer to make sure everything was covered. On the day the insurance adjuster came to inspect my house, I had a conflict at work and couldn't be there. Ashley came in my place (as she promised) walked through the inspection with the adjuster, and made sure every little ding and dent was covered and accounted for. Knockout works off the insurance company's claim and if something needs to be added along the way, they work directly with the insurance company to cover it so you don't get stuck with the difference (other than your deductible). So far, the claim and estimating process has exceeded my expectations. I'll update this review once my new roof is on the house. Here's the update: BEWARE!!!! DISHONEST COMPANY. Working with Knockout was a terrible experience that I truly regret. First, don't believe the reviews you read. When I initially signed up with this company after a wind storm, they knocked a few hundred dollars off the price if I would leave a positive Google review. In other words, positive reviews you see are probably fake. What I wrote above was accurate at the time and the sign-up experience truly was good. Unfortunately, it was full of lies. Two years later, my claim is finally finished. Contrary to what Knockout represented during the sign-up process, they do NOT work off the insurance approval and they do NOT do all the negotiating with your insurance on your behalf. If you hire Knockout, prepare to do that yourself. In my case, insurance approved a very clear scope of work for Knockout. Knockout then proceeded to do whatever work they wanted, and billed about $10,000 extra to insurance, which insurance promptly rejected. For the next 18 months, I spent hours and hours going back and forth between Knockout and insurance trying to get things resolved. It was a nightmare. I hired this company to avoid all that, and it was an outright lie. When I asked for a discount based on all the hours and work I put in doing THEIR JOB, they threatened to sue me and lien my house. Here's a tip: check court records before you hire Knockout. In the last three years, they've been involved in nearly 20 lawsuits. Along with their owner, Jared Garn, they've been sued for fraud, for shoddy work, for putting illegal liens on customers' houses, for failing to pay their employees, for filing frivolous lawsuits, and in one case for taking hundreds of thousands of dollars of insurance money from an elderly person an never fixing their house. My advice: STAY AWAY FROM KNOCKOUT ROOFING AND JARED GARN. You will regret it. read more

BUYER BEWARE - DO NOT USE!!! If I could shout this from the "Rooftops", I would! They charged more than the original bid adding an overhead charge that insurance will not consider. Their invoice practices are shady and they added other items on the invoice plus the overhead, resulting in an additional $10,000 over what the insurance agreed to or will pay. They are adding $1,000 per month in late fees, which is outrageous. They are threatening to lien the property and I am going to have additional expense hiring an attorney. read more

If i could give zero I would. Got great sales pitch and got insurance to pay for my roof and signed in June for a new roof to be installed in 6-8 Weeks. Yep 12 weeks late I have been told the soonest i can get a new roof is mid October? 6-8 weeks turned into 4 months. How does this happen? Lies in the sales pitch and leaning on insurance roofs to get them through the slower time. Shane Spattstoesser lied to me about lead time Jamie the production assistant won't help and its an absolute joke to try to get a call back. BUYER BEWARE. Do not fall for this scam. Was promised help in obtaining insurance reimbursement for the weather damage to my roof. They asked for a deposit to start and promised completion within 3 months in a written contract. Promised they would handle everything. No follow up whatsoever, an absolute joke. 3 months: no return phone calls, big sales pitch that they are the only certified roofer in Utah. Lies, lies, lies. Will be submitting a formal complaint to all agencies so that others are not scammed like we were. read more

We had a bid from KnockOut roofing. It was quite a bit less than other bids. I asked the appraiser about it and he said the quote could be trusted. The following day I was contacted and the question was 'did you want gutters on all sides?' if yes, it will be another $300.00 dollars. A couple of days later they called and said I would have to resign the papers as they made a mistake and the new cost would be an additional $1,600.00 dollars. The new bid is now almost 20% above the original. Is this anyway to do buiness? When discussing with Knockout, they wold not honor their original bid even thought I had a binding contract (offer, agreement and consideration). I would use this company if you want a company that does not honor its agreements and increases costs by 20%. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst company ever. Do NOT do business with them. They are great at the beginning-quick to answer emails and make an appointment. Once you sign the contract, they are MIA! A 1 1/2 day project turned into 4 weeks. We asked for notification ahead of time before they would come due to we work from home and it is loud, but they would text us as they were getting here. We then had to go work elsewhere last minute or take the day off because they always forgot to give us advance notice. We never knew when they were coming, if they were finished and when they were leaving because there is no communication. They left the dumpster in our driveway for 3 weeks-even though they were finished with it, so we had to park on the street. They also left a huge mess of nails all over-which we ended up cleaning up. When they set up, they threw their stuff everywhere-on the walkway, in the driveway, etc. so once they left, we couldn't use the walkway because it was full of stuff so we always had to go through the back door. Worst company. Will NEVER use them again. Learn from my mistake and go through someone else! read more

I had multiple people come out for bids on a new roof. Kris Brigante was by far the most professional of those bidding. His expertise convinced me to use Knockout Roofing. I was not disappointed! The roofing team came when promised, work hard, and did a very professional job. I could not be more happy with the GAF roofing system including; cobra ridge ventilation, 50 year warranty, drip edging wherever was needed, new flashing everywhere, all vent pipes painted to match the roof, and a full warranty as a result of the company's certified installers.
