I am a former member and employee of Knockout Fitness. During my three years there, I was committed to my training and initially had a positive experience, until inappropriate behavior from my coach began to surface. Unfortunately, he was not the only one. As both a trainee and a coach, I experienced a pattern of misconduct, including suggestive comments and boundary-crossing behavior from multiple staff members, among them the head coach, front desk personnel, and several male members. The environment was consistently unprofessional and, at times, hostile. I was made to feel uncomfortable on numerous occasions, and as a woman, I was not taken seriously. My concerns were dismissed, my boundaries ignored, and my professionalism undermined. The emotional and psychological toll this has taken on me continues to affect my ability to feel safe and respected in gym spaces. Specific individuals overstepped their roles in ways that were unacceptable and contributed to a toxic and unsafe environment. I am working on retaining documentation, including messages and screenshots, that substantiate my experiences. I am currently pursuing legal guidance to ensure the harm done is properly addressed for myself and am posting under an alias to protect my identity while this process unfolds. Additionally, there were significant health and safety concerns within the facility. A friend of mine suffered a severe infection, nearly resulting in blindness, due to the unsanitary conditions of the equipment. This level of negligence further underscores the lack of responsibility exhibited by the management. I will not be silenced. I will continue to advocate for myself and for any woman who has experienced similar treatment at Knockout. If you are one of those women, please come forward. You are not alone. Many of the friendships I formed there were with others who had faced the same violations and disrespect. Together, we deserve better. This is not just about me, it is about demanding accountability. Don't understand how this place doesn't have 5 stars. Signed my son and myself up here and so far it's been a great experience. I would suggest coming here for the first time bring your workout gear it's going to be a full body workout as far as the classes go. My 11 year old loves the classes and I just signed him up for one on one with a trainer and tbh the prices are great for personal training. The GM is awesome. Every time I go in there he helps me with the wraps ensuring safety and educating. read more

Good regimen to get fit. Mostly cardio, not very instructive. So you should know how to box before you Join. Also, when cancelling membership they hit you with fees. So you should be aware of this. Very common scammy techniques used by a lot of gyms. Overall, I do recommend as it's fun, and you can get shredded. read more

Do NOT GO!!! They prey on young 18 year olds. My son was walking by on his way to Chick Fil A. Danny was standing outside and told my son to come in and check it out. My son went in and was told he could try it out for 1 week. My son said let me go over this with my mom and come back. Danny said I will not be here tomorrow but if you did sign up which plan would you choose. My son said probably the 6 month plan. Danny said well try it out for 7 days but I need to get you in the system. So he asked for all his information and had my son sign. My son never gave a credit card because he does not have one nor does he have a job to even pay. This whole time my son thought he was signing for a 7 day trial. My son never went back and now 2 months later he gets a voicemail saying that he is past due. He called and said he never signed up for anything and they said he did. I tried calling on his behalf and spoke with Drew who was not friendly because I said I felt my son was preyed on since he was young and naive. Drew said there is nothing they can do and that my son owes the money. Be Careful when speaking to them, they want a sale no matter the circumstance and will lie to get it. read more

I attended on free class which was great! Instructor was good, informative and his music was the bomb. Anyway, the website said 3 free classes but when I was done with the first class Cody stated that the website was wrong. He gave me pricing and told me that I could save on the joiner fee if I signed up that day. Anyway, I didn't. Number one red flag is when the website deal wasn't honored. 2 days later I received a call from another person stating that day was my last to use on the 3 day free option. I told him what the other person stated and he said there was miscommunication. He then ended the call by stating I should call back when I'm serious! Okay. Wtf does that mean?! Anyway, I'm now going to Title Boxing where I have the option of purchasing packages with no ties. They also have a great staff. This place gets you moving and it feels good to hit a punching bag. The instructors are vigilant. If they see you're struggling to understand they repeat the punching steps without you asking. It's been a month of consistent work and i feel so much better. Daily tasks are easier. Found an instructor, that the exercise was helping my posture, and basic mobility. Absolutely not! This facility is a scam. Don't buy into their "free 3 day trial". NOTHING is free and I should have known better. Theres a reason their contract has so many regulations, they will try to get every cent from you because they get no business in the first place! I was told when cancelling my membership, I would have to pay 6 months up front per the contract. When I asked, am I able to still utilize the gym for the six months I'm PAYING FOR? One recent afternoon I was Googling around for local kickboxing & boxing classes and this place popped up. Went to their website, found the info interesting so looked for pricing. Found none (red flag #1). Went to their FB page & hit "Contact" and an auto fill "What is your pricing?" came up so I clicked it and waited. Received the response from their "social media manager" which distilled down to "go in person to find out". Uh huh. Nope. Red flag #2. I responded back that it was a red flag to not be willing to give any pricing info, and not going to drive over there & waste my time when a ballpark figure would have been good. The "social media manager" decided to write back again. This time telling me I must be having a bad day and that I'm rude, etc. :D :D So, me being snarky (and a little bored mixed with amusement), I wrote back as well, telling her I was having a fine day until a "social media snowflake" decided that berating a potential client was a good idea. That she should suck it up and when dealing with (potential) customers you don't like, you keep it to yourself and yell about it when you get home, like generations of grown ups have been doing for years. Also, she said she didn't know what it cost, but also said she was a member, sooooo..... yeah. So she doesn't know what she's paying or her SMM compensation is a "free" membership, in which case she doesn't know how much she's earning. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I called the location, told them what happened, though I'm sure NOTHING was done about it 'cause that's customer service for ya nowadays. Plus, even that guy tried to get me to drive over there. So in the end, I found another location who wasn't willing to waste my time and now they are getting $200 a month for kickboxing classes, personal training, and membership. Knockout Fitness isn't. A Bunch of Cheap Cry Baby Liberals! Be careful! If the trainers or staff don't like you here, they will make up lies about you so you can get kicked out. I've been a member here for years and they've been trying to kick me out multiple times. They finally kicked me out for supposedly being to rough during a group class haha wow. I have been coming for about four months and I'm so glad that I joined this gym. The trainers are amazing, it would be difficult to have a favorite one. They have group boxing classes and group kickboxing classes. The classes are phenomenal. The trainers are patient and helpful if you have never taken these classes before. I have been working out at this gym consistently 3-4 times a week for this whole year and have recommended this gym to all of my friends and family. Great if you're looking to learn how to box or kickbox. Pros would include: a great staff, loud music, and fun classes (I've done all of them, lol) Knockout Fitness has several locations in Arizona and I have attended classes in both Surprise and Goodyear. All my coworkers go to the Paradise Valley location and enjoy it as well. I just wish that this gym was 24 hours! I would try to refer your friends and family to get a better deal on your membership! I love this gym as well as the people in it! Alex Espinoza is a great coach and friend. I technically signed my membership on March 31st. My first class was on April 3rd. Since my first class on April 3rd, I have attened every single class, only missing 2 days a week at the MOST. When I started my first class, I could not do any pushups, knew nothing of boxing, and could barely do any of the lower leg work outs. By April 17th, I was able to do: 5 pushups 1 minute plank hold Know most of the boxing combos Longer endurance 10 jump squats 25 sit ups Leg raises Iron cross Ive lost a couple pounds but my body is definately toning down and im becoming much stronger. I have been a member for a few years now and I still love it! The staff have become personal friends of mine and some even family. The training is legit, the trainers are amazing and the environment is so welcoming. The skill levels vary from beginner to expert and the gym setup accommodates most lifting exercises. I tried to cancel my membership and it has not even started yet and they won't let me :( I have a metal plate in my wrist and I tried to join this gym because I used to do 9 round but damn their bags are way to heavy I hurt my wrist on them and my ankles as well :( So I asked for my money back because when I signed up there was a window the manerger said I could get my money back and I had a witness that heard him say it but he said it was a misscomunication and for me to not get charged I need a perminate doctors note and proof I am disabled it's like wtf !! This place is honestly so amazing! The minute you entire the doors they are so nice and welcoming. There are many events you can choose at great times to excercise in. I just finished my first day and honestly I was so nervous, but when I entered the people were so kind. The workouts are intense and so worth it at the end. The trainers are tough and great and demonstrating moves. If you are a first time person I highly recommend this fitness place. In reference to the GOODYEAR Location, this place doesn't even deserve 1 star! Total rip off! I went in to check out the facility and prices and told ANDREW at the front counter that I was in a hurry and I just wanted prices. He said we have a special if you give me $10 I can lock the rate in until Friday....I said ok but I will be back by Friday if I decide to move forward. He didn't give me a copy of a contract or go over any kind of contract with me. He gave me a schedule and told me to pick out hand raps and gave me a keychain. After going home and doing some research I didn't like the reviews so I decided not to join. I never stepped another foot in the place to initiate any kind of membership. I figured I would just lose my $10 and that was that. I decided to call to make sure that was the case and ANDREW happened to answer the phone. He said he remembers me signing up and I was committed to 6 months!!! I said I will be right there and I was on my way. When I got there, I gave him the unopened hand wraps and keychain back and told him to cancel my contract. He insisted that I signed the contract willingly and he emailed it to me. I asked to see the email and it wasn't my email so again I had no idea I was under contract. He knew my intentions and tried to take advantage of me. I told him he's a piece of sh** and he knows he's lying through his teeth. I asked to speak to his manager and he said he is in charge. All these 1 star reviews are true I got stuck in a one year contract and was told after asking that I would not be charged after this year cuz I wanted to cancel but as soon as the year was over they charged me immediately just to get one last month of money out of me b4 officially having the contract over and then when I reviewed this place on there Facebook page the manager calls me saying I'm ruining his business saying I'm taking food off his children's table while he doesn't mind doing the same thing back to my family what a piece of shit never ever recommending this place to no one read more

Was walking by and the manager Danny came out and introduced himself and invited me in. Showed me around and was very professional. No slick promises, high pressure sales or gimmicks. Just straight to the point and upfront which I appreciated. I was not planning on signing up but after trying it a couple times and having a great experience, I decided too. He kept it simple, straight, and to the point. Great workouts, trainers are friendly and helpful, and there are enough class times throughout the day to find a class to go to. HORRIBLE CUST SERVICE. I signed up with great intentions. Due to my back problems I unfortunately caused more damage than good. I went to my Dr. he advised me to stop this isn't the right exercise for me and my situation. I took in a note and was told due to "contract" I need to be "disabled". I spoke Richard (I believe) sweetheart and suspended my membership for 4 months but informed me per contract my note with have to word "DIABLED". Returned once a gain to my Dr. obtained a note stating I am "DISABLED" and "CAN NOT" return to this type of work out. Took yet another note in and was told the "manager" is going to want to call my Dr. So what I'm being told is 2 notes later FROM my Dr. 2nd letter worded the way I was asked isn't sufficient enough. The manger was not onsite and young gentleman Alex as calling him and relayed the message he'd have to call my Dr. So apparently this bright manager at Kickboxing isn't aware of a law call HIPPA which protects my personal medical history. And my said note on their contract is fulfilled. I may not be able to box but I am a fighter ill fight this completely because this is utter bullshit! customer shouldn't be treated this way and is my 80 something dollars that important to you really! read more

Kept driving by this place while shopping and decided to drop in and try a class. I used to do CrossFit and I really missed the group atmosphere and instructor motivating and pushing you during a workout. Have since attended 4 classes and let me tell you, my body is hurting in places a didn't even know existed. The workouts have been amazing, very challenging, upbeat and fun. The instructors are helpful, patient and willing to take extra time to help newbies learn. Signed up for 12 months and look forward to learning some new boxing/kickboxing techniques, having fun and getting back into shape. read more

Let me be honest I actually liked coming into the gym some of the workouts are great and all but these guys are completely money hungry not all of the worker there are but one to be specific is the manager of this place, Danny who completely bamboozled me, honestly this guy can care less about his clients getting fit or healthy because he rather have his money, I had asked to cancel the plan for my membership completely then they had offered me to freeze the account for three months and I was cool with that but the case ended up being that they froze my account for one month and then without even a small notice they let my account continue on for a month then charged my account, then when I came to that gym to address this they told me that they wasn't anything they can do about and to pretty much deal with it, there no way I'll ever sign up for this gym ever again, and for anyone thinking about signing up keep in mind that Danny is money hungry and will do whatever he can do just for you to sign up, even such as lie to a customer which he did for one instance just to get someone to sign up, that guy is seriously just a scammer, and if that doesn't convince you to not sign up I don't know what will, but that's all I have to say. read more
