I visited my favorite knitting shop yesterday and found the perfect yarn for several Christmas presents. I went in to pick up two pairs of needles and show Laura the project I had completed from a kit I had purchased a couple weeks ago. It is such a delight to visit a wonderful shop filled with quality yarns and amazing service. Laura is incredibly knowledgeable and provides a wealth of information and tricks to help with any project you are working on. Yarns are reasonably priced and of the highest quality. Barely any room to walk, hard to see the yarns, and the owner had to bring the notions and needles from the back for me to see. I will not be going back. I came here about a year ago and I'm not sure if it's because I am a POC but the lady working there was very cold and stand off ish to me. She wouldn't offer any help and basically stared at me until I got so uncomfortable I just left. This hasn't sat well with me so I'm finally putting out a review. I see other people have been treated nicely maybe it was just me so fair warning to other POC, I wouldn't support a business that is rude to specific people. read more

This shop opened in Winchester in October 2018 but I just found it in February 2019. I am so excited to have another yarn shop open in Winchester! My favorite yarn shop closed a few years ago and I have had to resort to online shopping since then. It is wonderful to be able to actually see and feel my fibers before buying again. I was only able to make a brief visit but in a short time I met the owner who took me on a tour. She carries quality fibers like Malabrigo, Madelinetosh, and Shepherds Wool. She has multiple weights, including some patterned sock yarns. She also seems to have a very busy schedule of classes with help from experienced knitters on a nice variety of projects. The shop is small for now but I could tell there are plans to expand once business allows. I can't find a website yet but there is a Facebook page with schedules and other information. read more

LOVED this store and wish it was my LYS. I visited Virginia from Idaho and of course had to find a yarn store. This store had a great variety of yarns from local places to all around the country. The owner really knew her yarns and had several things knitted up for samples. I had a great time and got several skeins from local artisans.
