When we rolled in close to midnight, we were greeted by Arthur who was the friendliest and most helpful hotel employee we've come across in a very long time. Check in took less than a minute and we were in our sparkling clean room another minute later. The bed was so comfortable. In the morning, another smiling face greeted us warmly in the lobby. (Sorry, I forgot to ask her name!) The included breakfast was well above average and also super clean. Jennifer kept things stocked, never stopped cleaning, answered questions, and was yet another positive and friendly staff member. I don't know who hires the employees here, but they have a real knack for finding gems! Overall, this experience far exceeded expectations. We will be returning whenever our travels find us in the area!

The bad part and really only reason it's 4 stars vs 5 is that my booking.com app wasn't working properly and had the hotel at $128 for the night before taxes. Since I couldn't get it to work (i recently upgraded my phone and suspect that's the reason), i asked the receptionist if he could match the price or do anything for me to get closer to it. He said he can't give any discounts and the rate is $199. That's crazy to me. I was checking in at midnight. I also signed up for Igh rewards but they said since i didn't sign up prior to my stay i can't get credit for the stay. Silly really, when you're trying to promote a rewards program but refuse to give the reward.

The rooms are big and clean an ours included a full size refrigerator and a mini oven and mini dish washer. The bathroom was clean but the shower heads are a little low for a 6' or taller person. The noise from the interstate also flows through the walls too well and can be loud during high travel times.

Day 4 or 5 I asked for some clean linens as I spilt my sprite and was informed that they only washed the comforters every other week not every customer stay. My towels and sons bedding was left on my bed for me to replace the bedding and towels in the bathroom. the managers wife made racism s comments to me in the hallway. And walked away. My child was right there watching her I just wanted clean towels So the manager told me if I left that day, he wouldn't charge me this was around 1 we left at 4. and I asked him. I've been coming here for a decade. My family has been coming here as well . Why couldn't we just have clean linens? He stated they just don't wash them and they don't provide cleaning service while you stay but every 5 days which just is trash and towels. Every 5 days shocked me. I have stayed here so much the customer service is horrible. He obviously sided with his wife and lost a 4 more customers. Except for the fact when I checked out, he then refused to not charge me for that day and made me pay. I had stayed here so many times though it had been a while. It wasn't about the money but the rude and racism and dirtiness of a place we had good memories at before. If you forget about that bad customer service I still would not take anyone there again Do not take your children here or if you have any breathing troubles do not go here. The mold is all over the hotel. the pool, which I didn't get a picture of has a ladder that's barely hanging on. There's sharp edges everywhere which could cut your children.

The hotel is conveniently located right off of I-75 South. We needed an overnight room to attend my daughter's wedding. Because a college in Richmond was having a ballgame, we were charged $166 dollars for what should have been a $70 dollar room AT MOST. The hotel is very old and clearly no profits have been used for improvements. Our room had a horrible smell, peeling wallpaper, a drain that was so slow we had to stop our showers repeatedly. Even with the air conditioner running there was so much moisture in the room that our clothes and sheets felt damp, and even the checkout receipt that was placed under our door was curled! The smell permeated my hair, our clothing, and even our soft sided luggage. Dear friends of ours also stayed overnight at this hotel to attend our daughter's wedding and had the same issues. I was charged luxury prices for a budget hotel! I'm not sure where the 'Quality' was at this horribly overpriced 'Quality Inn'
