Last place in the world I would have thought I would have liked. Yes, college kids a sure bet. But…read moreme, at 50 something? I felt like a kid the whole time. Played a one on one Pac-Man game, the legendary Skee ball, won a silly stuffed toy and finished by very very badly singing karaoke. The whole time we felt welcomed and laughed like crazy. If you need a fun night out to remind yourself you are still young check out Time Out. If you're the younger generation enjoy and forgive us old folks stopping by every once in awhile.

Definitely not a requirement, as terrible singing is also present for an authentic karaoke experience! Would recommend to anyone, the owners and the staff are top notch and always make sure it's a good time. Has been a favorite spot for years, and will continue to be! Convenient to downtown and East Villiage, a great stop for business travelers too. Check it out!

However, I always seem to leave irritated and wishing we hadn't stopped by. The bartenders get the job done but just the basics of getting what you want but not necessarily checking in. There were what I am assuming to be a handful of regulars, so that must suit them fine. Beer was cold to that was good but more than we are used to spending. We got the pretzel bites which came out cold with cheese in its original single serve plastic packaging. Which is fine, we ate it. We just thought it would be served warm. And since the bartender kind of disappeared we couldn't ask for it to be heated up.

The place is very small & dilapidated. I'm not sure how it passes code. The bathrooms are always nasty. People use drugs in the back "smoke area" what ch is enclosed and still technically part of the bar (which it's illegal to smoke inside in Iowa). I've been charged for drinks I didn't order, as have friends. We were simply told we were too drunk to remember. Which was not the case, these were bottles of beer which we never order anyways. The owners claim they'll review the video cameras (however, they don't even work as I've overheard them). They only serve burnt totinos pizza, and they charge 10$ for it. There's almost always karaoke & it's so bad & loud you can't talk to anyone, much less hear yourself think. There's nothing special about this "pub". It's small, smelly, lack of food, excess amount of drunk/rude workers. I've also seen underage people in here drinking. I've informed workers, but the people are "friends". The owners even bring their underage children in here to hang out. Pretty sure that's also illegal.

I understand the frustration and co cern that takes place when such a rhing happens, but common humac decency should prevail o er freaking out at a new customer . I will n9t return if she is the bartender.

We could tell the bartender was a bit overwhelmed. She greeted us, asking what we wanted. It was my first time there & did need a menu. I think she forgot, so I just got a regular Bloody Mary. There were many options on tap & full bar. Finally got menus, so a snapped a photo :) While sitting we saw many plates out, they all looked good & the pizza smelt AMAZING! Tonight was their 2 for $22 which includes 2 pizzas and an appetizer (options are limited). We go for the 4 star since it's closest to the OP Special. We have tried the various appetizers they offer and honestly, this is something we wouldn't add on if it weren't part of the special- the pizza is definitely the thing they know how to do. Tonight we tried beef nachos. They were just ok (nothing wrong with ok, but definitely was like they just crumbled up leftover hamburger). Beers are spendier than we usually pay at other places ($5.25 for a busch light tall boy) but who doesn't want a beer with pizza?! And if you are strategic you can get $4 beers during KC Chief games!
