I initially…read morereached out to him because I wanted more than the "2 doors and 1 motion detector" intro package offered by the national chains. Mitchell came to my home and we spent hours designing a system including not only all of the typical stuff such as door and window sensors and motion detectors, but also glass break monitors and water alarms for the laundry room and sump pump areas. Mitchell did not "sell" any of this stuff to me. I asked for it and we designed an excellent system together. The reason that I am writing the review today is because this is the first time that I have spoken to Mitchell in over two years. I received an alert on my control pad that a battery was low and I didn't know which device needed the new battery. I called Mitchell on his cell phone. He picked up on the second ring. I had the battery in a drawer and he identified the device and walked me through the battery change over the phone. This tells you a couple of things: 1. The equipment that Mitchell sold to me over 2 years ago works without issue. I literally have had not spoken to him in over 2 years because I have NEVER had a problem. My big problem today was that I needed a new battery. I'm OK with that. 2. Mitchell answers his phone. He is extremely responsive and knowledgeable. Mitchell is a good guy. He knows what he is doing and he sells good stuff. I recommend him without hesitation.

While I was waiting for the technician to arrive, I fiddled with the settings and ended up resolving the issue on my own. What really stood out to me was the honesty--both Mitchell and the technician could have easily said I needed new equipment or upgrade or unnecessary work, but instead they were supportive and completely upfront. Updating my review: Untangled has finally responded to one of my requests for help. I will update…read morefurther should the situation develop positively or negatively. These people came in five years ago and set up our system, claiming we had all of these technological issues from the previous owners and that they had a solution to fix it -- Control 4. They hooked our sonos, apple tv, cable, and pool controls to this app. They got rid of our regular fios cable remote and replaced it with a control 4 remote and had us download the control 4 app. This worked fine for a few years, but then there started to be problems. At first, they were responsive and came by to help. But then, they stopped returning our calls. The control 4 app stopped working so we couldn't control our pool. Our cable view is completely zoomed in and cuts off the edge of the frame but since we don't have the Fios remote anymore, we can't fix it, and since they won't answer our calls or emails, they won't fix it. Our TV randomly flickers like strobe lights. The remote works half the time. The TV really only functions as an apple TV because of how badly they messed up the cable connection. If they called us back and fixed the issues, I wouldn't have a problem with their complicated set up. No other company wants to touch what they've done. If you've used them already, good luck if you run into any problems. I hope they answer your calls. We are still desperately looking for any IT company or person willing to help dig us out of this tangled mess untangled created.
