We walked around shopping, found a shirt to buy, walked to the old man at the register for him to say they were closed because half the lights are off. Well, sir, half the lights were on and the door was open. Next time maybe lock the door if you're closed and don't let someone shop around before you let them know. read more

My initial impression of the store and staff was great. The older gentleman who assisted me was knowledgeable and helpful. However, after trying on several shirts and putting all but two back myself (shirts that required proper folding), he made an incredibly rude comment when I told him I wasn't going to purchase any of them, as they weren't what I was looking for. It's a shame that my visit ended this way. I understand that trying on button down shirts requires refolding, but making a rude remark to a potential customer simply because they didn't buy an item is unacceptable. Because of this, you've lost my business, and I unfortunately cannot say anything positive about my experience, the store, or the staff. You need to do better. read more

My wife and I visited Knickers on October 30, 2022. We tend to stop by this shop when we come to Hilton Head because the selection is very different from what we can purchase in New Hampshire. It is important to look sharp. The owner and his staff were terrific in helping me get some fine looking clothes for the season ahead. We will be back in the spring. read more

Extremely racist staff. As soon as my cousins (who are mixed) and I walked in we immediately started getting watched by the old guy who was running the store at the time and eventually came up to us and told us to leave if we weren't buying as there were plenty of white people in there just looking but as soon as people of color come in and do the same they aren't welcome. Makes sense that a place named "Knicker's" would have staff that act like this. read more

Was very appalled by the racists acts of those who work at this store. My mother and I had been in the store for about 15 minutes with no attention given to us by the staff, not even a "can I help you?" When my sister and her boyfriend (who is Black) joined us, he was immediately asked with a tone of accusation if he needed help and then when he said no, the woman did not move but continued to stand far too close to him until we left no more than 2 minutes later. Do not support this racist business. There are a lot of other great stores around the area that offer much more. read more

I like that there is a decent men's clothing store w name brands that we like but the women running this store followed us around the ENTIRE time asking me 4 times if they could put the items I was holding at the counter. One lady stood about 3 inches from me and I had to actually ask her to back up so I could get by.. let's get a grip . I purchased the items but if I had it to do over , I would at the fourth time let her take the clothing from me and keep them. This store is awesome! I have been shopping here for years and each time it gets better. They carry brands like Vineyard Vines, Southern Tide, Tommy Bahama, Peter Millar, Oliver Ridley, and Castaway. The size selection is from XS to XXXL. Not all sizes in all products, mind you, but selected merchandise. The staff is very helpful and professional and take pride in their merchandising. If you want a pleasant shopping experience, with a helpful, knowledgeable staff, this store is for you. But if you would rather pick through piles of clothing looking for bargains, stick to the outlets read more
