This is a very nice park with lots of features. I've driven by it lots of times over the years, but this morning, I finally used it. Knickerbocker offers: A small dog area A baseball field Playground with swings Public restrooms A groomed dirt path that has exercise stops along the way. This path is my favorite feature since you have terrific views of the valley from it. I parked my car here, walked and ran on the path, and proceeded into the surrounding neighborhood for more mileage. I will certainly be back to do it again and again. read more

Great park! Was very clean and lots for the kids to do--both big and little. There is a splash pad and swings. There is also a dog park and soccer field so kids can run around and look at people with the dogs. We brought scooters and a bike for them to play on the sidewalks, which they also enjoyed. There wasn't as much shade as I would've liked, but it was windy that day so not too hot! There was also bathrooms there for people to use. Parking was also easy, you can park in the lot or on the side of the street and walk into the park. We would go back if we were in the area! read more

I bring my dog here. The dog park itself is small but shady and green. The exercise trail is a nice walk. Plenty of grass!

Big wide open spaces park equipped with a baseball field, splash pad, play area, and gated dog park. We went to play kickball in the grass and it was very busy. Lots of dog walkers and kids at the play area and nice open wide grass area to play on. Grass was green and maintenance definitely would recommend if you have kids or dogs read more

This park is my favorite by far! Super clean, great bathrooms and the perfect setup for mamas with kiddos of different ages. The splash pad is awesome as well. I love that I can see my kids the entire time and there are no blind spots while at the picnic tables. read more

We came out to enjoy the 4th of July festivities here with some of the gang. From what I could see, This is a huge park with lots of grassy areas, paved walkways, and multiple play areas for the kids. Food trucks were out. live music was playing, and everyone was having a good time. Originally scheduled to go off at 9:15pm, people were getting restless because of the 100 degree heat that lingered, and Fire Marshall Bill, or whoever he was, said there was a "wind delay".....Ummm, yeah, and all of the other fireworks around us were going off every second without a hitch!?!? Anywho, after an hour long wait, (and half of the people were gone) we finally got to enjoy the fireworks show after almost calling it quits too! ALOHA!!! read more

I enjoyed this park overall it has a really nice set up, a dog park a nice area for kids to play and a water area for these hot summer days it also has a really nice field area for picnics or football etc... the bathroom is always clean and accessible it could probably use another stall or two but overall nice park. I only gave 4 stars because of the location of the pull up equipment and also the other work out equipment is so far spread out I could only do one thing at a time I'm used to having it all in one area so this made it a little difficult to do my work, but I will say the equipment was clean and seemed to be in good shape and it has a great view of the city. For all my barstarzz this park is ok for doing pull ups but if you want the other stuff you gotta find it so I give it 4 stars keep up the good work hope this review helps. read more

Yelp 100 Challenge 2013- 29/100 I'm a true outdoor junkie that is taking full advantage of the endless recreational space Las Vegas offers! This park is one of the countless reasons why I LOVE LOVE LOVE living in Vegas. This park is located within the Master Community of Providence (no- it's not gated and visitors from all over are welcomed). The neighborhood and houses that surround this park are simply charming and only enhance the curb appeal and wholesome nature of this park. I'm a regular visitor after recently purchasing a home here in the NW. Knickerbocker offers a running trail (with lighting for night runs), extensive playground areas and equipment for the kiddos, and a wonderful dog park for all the fur-babies! In fact, they just recently added grass to both the large and small dog play areas (which was a welcomed touch)! They also have security that patrol the area at all times (which I appreciate). I will echo Jade W's review and say that the sweeping views of the valley are breathtaking! This feature alone would make a trip worthwhile and take this park over the top. Tip: Visit at dusk or night and soak in the beauty. read more

It is a park. It is in the extreme Northwest. There is a baseball diamond. These facts alone warrant a 4-star. The fact is that human beings should not be permitted to settle this far in the valley (certainly not outside of the beltway loop), so there should be no park up here. But there is. Unfortunately, they are even adolescents -- with no lives -- who enjoy hanging out here late night. (Yes, I am that grouchy old man.) Its existence is a mixture of miracle that they would even bother providing public parks this far away the city centre, and, supporting evidence of appalling, unrelenting, suburban flight. Nice sized park. Took the puppers here to check out the dog run and get some socialization. I liked the layout, and the park in general was very clean. My one complaint (which I'm sure is the same one for all dog parks) is that not everyone is responsible enough to clean up after their dogs. People, if your dog poops clean it up! There are literally doggie waste bag stations all over the park. read more

Great view of the city, fun walking path, and 24 hour security patrol -- all within walking distance of my house? What's not to love!! There is a dog park here but I don't trust other dog owners, so I generally opt for walking my dogs instead, if anyone else is on the small dog side. I love the "nature trail" and have even done miles and miles worth of loops here when doing my long runs for half marathon training. Bathrooms are clean, fountains work, seating in the shade? Check, check, and check. I like this park and feel very lucky that it is so close to home! Parking is limited here, but that's a nonissue for me. There are always scads of bunnies, which are fun to watch, and I'll repeat myself - view of the valley is amazing!! read more

This is part of the Providence Master community, but it's accessible and not gated. I've only past this park before, but came on the 4th for some fireworks since a friend lives right here. The best and beautiful feature is this sits at a higher elevation so you can see the entire valley from the park. It's kept clean even the bathrooms. They have the usual playground, some basketball courts, greenery, gated in dog park run, etc you would expect. Since I wasn't here during day and was here for a special event I cant speak for traffic, but I highly doubt this is a super busy park. Definitely if you want to be out on a cool summer night and live in the NW though, take a stroll and look at the view from here. read more

Parks in this region are pretty incredible because they offer so many outdoor activity options for all age groups and all members of the family! Knickerbocker park is no different. With walking trails, baseball and grassy fields, splash pad, playground, picnic areas, and even a dog park separated by small and large dogs, this park really has it all! Not to mention, the breathtaking views of the city will not disappoint! I brought my dog here to introduce him to the area since I just bought a house in Providence. Unfortunately, I wasn't as impressed by this park as some of the Henderson parks I'm used to. Maybe I'm biased because I live in Henderson but a couple of things about Knickerbocker left more to be desired in comparison to others I've been to. The dog park was very nice although it offered no shade. The water fountain for dogs spouted water that felt boiling hot. I'm glad I brought a bowl and ice water. And the fenced off garbage area by the dog park obviously needed emptying because I swear when the wind blew I would catch a whiff of what I can only imagine the inside of a garbage truck smells like. Also, for being an over 100 degree day this park was pretty crowded. From what I understand Providence is getting a second park - Huckleberry on the corner of Farm & Egen Crest. The area is growing so I think the second park will be well received and a great edition to the community! read more

We've been taking our pup to another park that's at least 15mins away from where we live and so I was really happy to find out that Providence has dog parks that are 4mins away from where we live. We decided to go today and I was happy to see the playground for children, and the green grass grounds where people can just sit. It's a clean park and the children and families there seem to be enjoying their time. Unfortunately, no dogs were in the park but ours, and the dog park was not as big as the park we go to. There's one bench inside each of the dog parks, and there was no grass. There were "trees" but there were no leaves on any of them so the dog park just looked so bare. We decided to leave and go to our usual dog park instead. However, I appreciate that the park for children and families is super well-maintained. :) read more

I was looking for the closest dog park for my golden retriever. We just moved around the area. The dog park is not as big as I expected, and they did not provide a water station for the dogs either. No matter what time of the year, I always love visiting Knickerbocker park! Since it's close to my home, I love that I can always walk or ride my bike to the park and enjoy the amenities. The always seem to be a variety of people and families throughout the park, especially in the spring and summer! It's nice to see the presence of the Providence security as well. They are always friendly and helpful with maintaining the park's beauty. I'm so fortunate to live in a nice community with a great little park like Knickerbocker across the street! read more

i don't know much about parks but this one is clean, has some pretty cool features and an AMAZING view of the valley. There are 2 enclosed dog parks - one for small dogs and another for larger dogs. There's a large field of grass perfect for throwing around a ball or picnicking on a nice day. There's a large gazebo type structure for picnicking as well but doesn't have tables or chairs so you would need to bring your own. There's an enclosed baseball diamond adjacent to the grass field. There's a walking/jogging path on the south side of the park. There's a playground for the smaller kids with a water feature that is operational in the warmer months. I haven't used the facilities so I'm not sure of their cleanliness but I've heard it's not bad. read more

Great park! Was here for the 4th of July fireworks the past 2 years. Amazing show. Not only do they put on a great show, you can see fireworks for every single casino putting on a show as well as all other places!!! Suggestion, get here early! Parking can be crazy. There is a pubic bathroom, but depending on where you park and sit, it can be far. BEST place to watch fireworks on 4th of July! read more

Cute little local park. Enough to keep my kids entertained. We have brought our dog to the dog park here and he seemed to have fun getting out of the apartment and being able to run around. They have a good walking trail, with exercise equipment along the way. It is just a good park to go to if you live in the area and don't want to drive to far...as far as actual equipment it is pretty small. read more

Of all the community parks I've been to in Las Vegas, this is the top so far. It has something for all ages and interests. The dog park is quaint and clean, separated for big dogs and small dogs. The rules are posted and no one seems to have a problem following them here. The playground is always busy with children during the weekends and afternoons, with parents always keeping a close eye. Finally, the large field is great for sports activities, picnics, or going for a stroll. There is a security guard available, fairly clean restrooms, and a good amount of parking. If you visit this park, please follow suite and be respectful of the park and fellow visitors. read more

Pretty cool park, up in the North West. Even though it is packed with suburban moms with nothing to do with their lives but glare at you if you so ever dare to cross their lovely pinic.
