Great spot! Parking was easy, park was very clean and quite popular. Got here mid-morning to walk my dogs and was great to see so many dog owners and families be super friendly and enjoying the park themselves. Took the paved circle path around, saw there is a sand pit for volleyball, tennis, etc. Huge barren field next to the dog-specific area. Probably the best off leash dog park in town. Cleaner than other dog parks. Some people still don't pick up their dog poop. Yes! Those few dog owners should be ashamed of themselves. But most of the dogs and dog owners there are chill. read more

I love this park but since winter and it getting darker early they can't seem to get the lighting situation under control. It gets dark at 4:30 pm and the lights aren't on and it's hard as hell and unsafe in the dark. They are intermittently on. So I have to drive there to see if the lights are on - if not then we have to drive to another park. read more

I found this place after searching for dog parks on my phone, and it seemed to be the closest so my pup and I gave it a shot. I have a large German shepherd/malamute mix, and preferred a separate big dog/small dog park which this one offers. I couldn't find the dog park at first, the address takes you to the main park (Wayne Bunker family park). You have to walk to the rear of the park to a set of stairs where at the bottom you will find the gates that separate the dog parks from one another. I was surprised at the size of each of the gated areas, and they seemed fairly cleanly. My only word of advise is to keep an eye on your pup, as they will be around other dogs if they are present. My dog is well behaved but protective of me, and did not like when another dog seemed to run up to me (I'm 8 months pregnant). Only complaint that I had was that the water fountain didn't seem to work. I brought my own bottles with me but it was a hot day and would've been a bummer had I not come prepared with his travel bowl and bottle of water. read more

THE LITTLE DOG PARK HAS SILVERLEAF NIGHTSHADE GROWING IN IT, i.e. Solanum elaeagnifolium Please note that this is NOT the same thing as Deadly Nightshade (fatal) however silverleaf nightshade can still harm your dog. It's growing near several of the newly planted trees on the east side of the little dog park. There are several stems growing near each tree every time I visit the park. One of my dogs loves to eat plants and she ate some before I could get it out of her mouth. The leaves irritated her throat and stomach and the inflammation cause her to have coughing fits to the point where she was vomiting the next day. An x-ray showed her intestines were inflamed and she had experienced several vomiting episodes for the next 24-48 hours after consumption. Her blood work was normal. I can't imagine what would've happened if she would've swallowed a bunch. Please watch out for this plant and be sure not to let your pup(s) consume any if you have any "plant/grass eaters" in your pack. The stems have extremely sharp projections and you shouldn't attempt to uproot it without some kind of barrier. I'll change my review to 5 stars once the plants are gone -- I'm only giving a low rating now to increase visibility. read more

Been here a handful of times and the park itself is pretty nice. It's very large with shaded area for owners to sit and watch. My only gripes are you have to park pretty far away to get to the doggy section. But mostly, every time we've been here the people have not been friendly. They're not nasty or anything just have always been really unsociable with their noses in their phones or just plain unfriendly. read more

Are you looking for a safe, spacious, well kept and enclosed doggy park for your loved one?? This is the place! There are two different enclosed parks for your doggy's! A side for large dogs and another side for small dogs and puppies. The separation of sizes and ages really helps with the safety factor, as my puppy is very social but on the larger side- 35lbs. She is too much for the older and larger dogs and the two spaces helps keep dogs like her safe, I really appreciate that. Also for safety, to enter and exit the park, there's two gates to make sure none can slip out without being on a leash. There's plenty of sitting for the humans, a lot of socks distancing is possible here. There's doggy water fountains, huge plus!! I haven't ever seen that in a dog park before. It's in a gated area where you can let your dog run around without a leash. Been looking around the whole valley of Las Vegas to let my pups run around "leash free" and this dog park is it!! A lot of dog parks here in vegas are labeled as dog parks but you can't really let them off their leash because they can escape and run into the street, but Barkin Basin Dog park has everything gated. I'm so sad I didn't find out about this dog park sooner because I'm moving to a different area by the end of the week ;-; Hubby and I brought our little fur baby here for a doggy play date with a fellow Yelper as well :) She brought her daughter and fur baby. I absolutely loved this dog park. It is extremely spacious and clean. There were plastic bags strategically placed for when your little one needs to go, and trash bins near said bags. We came on a Sunday morning and there was somewhat of a crowd already there. I loved seeing my little one run around and socialize with the other doggos and I LOVED all the cute little doggos that would come up to us and want attention. I recommend this park if you want to bring your fur baby here. Plenty of room for your little one to roam around and explore. read more

First time here at this dog park it's a little walk from parking lot and somewhat hidden over a hill, if your looking at the park from diving in the park is on the left side. The park was great few benches and tables to sit at several little areas of shade for those hot days. There were a few dog bowls to fill up water however there is one area at the entrance gate to fill water, but the two on top don't work only one for dogs. So if you don't bring your own water you would have to bend down and get water from the dog fountain. Suggestions bring your own water bowls and water for your fur babies. Overall, we will definitely be back more often. Lots of furry friends to play with on both sides. read more

This is Django's first and favorite dog park. The 3 fields are fenced for small to medium and medium to large. One field is rotated for maintenance. The dogs and people are friendly and manage dog park etiquette. It is open till 10 pm but the lights stay on til 11pm. The sprinklers come on at 10ish in the summer. This allows your dog some water play if so inclined. We moved so our visits are less frequent, but when we have the time it is worth the drive to visit. FYI, water dishes and balls are left at the park for everyone's use, so please feel free to use while visiting but please leave them for other dog visitors. read more

This park is fantastic! I took my 9 month old pup here for the first time this afternoon to get her used to other dogs.It's beautiful, well maintained, and CLEAN! Plus It's nice to see people actually clean up after their dogs. All the dogs we encountered were friendly and very well behaved. I absolutely love that each section is divided into weight class but are all equally the same size. I've been to other parks where the 25lb and under dog area is very small with limited space. That is not the case here! There is plenty of room for them to run around in the grass and play. They have covered benches so you can relax while your pups burns off some energy. The only reason I gave the park 4 stars is number one Yelp gave me the wrong directions. I'm not sure if it was a glitch...but I spent 30 minutes trying to find it. I entered this into my map multiple times and for some reason it took me to the VA on Rancho. If this happens to you the park is on Alexander and Tenaya. Second, I couldn't find where the dog park was while driving on the street. I had to circle around the ENTIRE park and then just finally pulled in and found it was located in the center towards the back and up over the stairs. I wish they had a better sign so that I could have seen it from the street. Overall great place. I didnt get that many pictures but I will next time since I plan to visit this spot often. read more

I think this is the biggest dog park in Las Vegas. Each dog area is the size of a football field. I always stop by here when I'm in the north end of town with my dog. The dog owners are friendly and attentive to their dogs. The parking lot is very small so be prepared to drive around a few times until a spot opens. read more

They finally have lights so everyone can stay a bit longer at night. People here & their dogs are very friendly. But some owners get carried away chatting and forget to pick up after their dogs. =T So watch out for poop. In the summer time people bring water & ice buckets for their dogs. Note: If your dog is going to share the water or play in the water bucket. Owners should be kind enough/courtesy to go refill the water jugs/bottles from the fountain. Don't pretend your dog didn't drink the water. Help out. Everyone here is enjoying their time & letting their dogs have fun. DOGS need to be HYDRATED & drink lots of water. Please DON'T Bring FOOD or DOG TREATS in the dog park. Don't feed other people's dog any food/treats. YOU DON'T KNOW IF THEY ARE ALLERGIC OR MAY HAVE A BAD REACTION. You don't walk up to a person's baby and feed them so don't feed other people's dog. Same Concept. The park has a track, tennis courts, horse shoe game thing, dunno what it's called, play area for younger kids with slide, swings, etc, BBQ area, and a stake park for older kids but this is in the beginning of the park. Great doggie park! My Sweet Baby Brutis loves coming here! The dog park consists of several gated sections to accommodate dogs of different sizes. The grass is green and plush and there are several benches and poop bag stands per section. Other pooches + owners seem pretty friendly, I have not had an issue. Great dog park ! However there are irresponsible owners. If you know your dog is aggressive and reactive don't bring your dog in! Simple walk your dog on a leash outside the park for exercise. It is dangerous for your dog and other dogs to be brought and aggressive not to mention rude and selfish! Your dog does not get to rule the dog park because other dogs are friendly hence why they are there. I understand boundaries and space with a yap or bark but if you know anything sets your dog off and your dog bites, barks and longes at other dogs, DO NOT BRING HIM TO A DOG PARK!!!! read more
