It was barely, if even a Swedish massage. The masseuse didn't get hard at all. Just very gentle. I didn't feel any better the next day, which really sucks as that's the reason I went for the massage; the reason we all go for massages. And the masseuse had a cold, so he was having trouble breathing the entire time and coughing when he could. Kind of gross considering I'm there for health reasons. I understand people getting sick, but please. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told I had to wait 15 extra minutes because the masseuse had another job. I had gone for the $65 special. When I got there (the manager decided to inform me at the time instead of earlier on the phone when I made the appointment) that the $65 special wasn't in a private room, but was rather on one of the foot massage chairs. And that a private room wasn't included in the the special price. I get it. I understand, but why wait until I get there to tell me. I'd likely come anyway, but this just made me skeptical of the tactics used to upgrade me to a more expensive massage. I won't be going back. I think I could have tolerated a lot of it, if I was just told about it upfront. But the fact that the massage was sub par means that they likely don't even know they're not really giving a deep tissue massage. It is one of the most reasonable massages in town, but if it's not given by a professional then it's actually more expensive and not really worth it. For another $20 bucks I could have had a massage that left me feeling great the next day. This wasn't it. I won't be wasting my money here again.
